Thank you KRIS! I feel so much better already, just knowing that SOMEBODY out there can here me and understand me when I thank God for all He gives us, and at the same time that I CRY OUT for His help and His mercy on my darling who is struggling so hard right now.

He's in day 3 of his detox program and I'm so scared...And it's so crazy, I found this part of the website and immediately set a prayer circle for him, sent it to all of our "friends," and have heard nothing back...it's sad really.

But anyway, I just wanted to thank you, and thank the Lord for you as well...your warm welcome brought a smile to my face for the first time in a long time...thanks again.

I've been doing really good about not drinking and Brett and I are doing good but I walked in to work this morning and my boss chewed me out and said he didn't know if I was going to work out here and then later apologized because he was wrong I didn't make the mistake he thought I did and then ever since then I've been doing nothing but having a bad day and screwing up so I pray that I can straighten up and pay attention and do things right. I think I'm just HAVING A BAD DAY! Love you all -

I pray you can direct me in the right direction when it comes to being employed and working in the right environment. I feel like ever since I have moved back to Medford I am not making it in the work force and I pray that if you have a better plan for me that you can help me see it. I pray that if Brett's idea is a good one working at the shop - that you help direct me to that plan and that I can follow it. Amen.

Boy! I'm glad your dog is O.K.! I have two, and 2 cats also, and I know how much we get attached to them, and love them!! How did your final go today? I'm sure you did fine with it. :-) Sorry to hear about you still drinking, but as Kris said, you know the deal on that- it's your choice. Hello everyone, First I would like to send out a reminder not to forget who this prayer circle is dedicated to: The third anniversary of Tommy's death is only a few short days away. Let us keep his family in our prayers. Speaking of Tommy, I browsed through all 60 pages of post. I noticed that some people who used to be here have not in quite a while. Let us keep those in our prayers as well especially renee25. I am amazed in all the wonderful and inspiring words that you all had to say to one another then and now. I only intended on going back a few months and ended up not being able to leave the computer. lol. anyways, I want to thank all of you for welcoming my husband. I know he hasnt been back since the first day which sadens me. thank-you for the comfort of your prayers. I do have a confession. I as well suffer with the addiction of nicotine, so if you could please pray that I will have the strength to kick this habit. welcome to you lilmama. I just recently joined this site and I can not imagine ever not coming here. Thank-you Kris, Quigley I would like to share something with you. When Sidney was in the recovery program at the end of the summer, we had this saying "Be like Job". We not only used it amongst ourselves, but with his friends there aswell. In fact, he would bring some of the fellows over here so that I could show them the power of Gods and His word through the story of Job. I am sure you have heard this stroy, but if not and for anyone who might not or may have forgotten. Job was a God fearing man, whom God had blessed with family, wealth, and health. One day satan went to God and basically said if You would let me tempt him and take everything away from him, He will curse God. So God knowing Jobs heart allowed satan to do his evil. Satan sent his evil down to earth and killed all his livestock, servents, and his family. In Job 1:20-22 it says, "The Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, and said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, , and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave and the Lord taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly."
The moral of this wonderful story is God knows our hearts and knows what we can and cannot handle. In the toughest of times dont turn from Him but hit your knees and praise His holy and Magnificent name. thank Him for all He has given you.

Be with Quigley as she is being tempted and tried. Help her to realize that through you all things are possible and that when we can no longer go one you are their to carry us through. Hello everyone, I have two favors to ask. Can someone tell me why whenever Sidney stays away from the drugs, he becomes a real jerk. where he does and says mean things and then turns around and doesnt understand why people are mad at him saying he was only joking around. I just dont get it. I know it has to do with the lack of the drugs but it is getting really annoying now to where i am losing friends because of it. I dont know how to deal with it. And second, can you all pray for my sister. Her name is Becki. She has a low iq. She is 31, but her mental age is like 15. She is very vulnerable to peer pressure. four or five years ago she was introduced to crack. She ended up leaving it alone with out any treatment. Lately she has been drinking heavly. She only does it because the 20 year old neighbor tells her that it is cool and fun. She had stoped for a few days, but after hearing that our mom might have ms she started up again. During a conversation with her on yahoo last night she said that she hates God and wishes she could kill him for what he is doing to our mom and dad. Our dad is dying from several issues related to being diabetic. I tried to minister to her and this is one thing that is hard to get her to understand. She is the type of person that if she said the sky was purple and you told her no that it isnt it is blue she just wouldnt get it. She has two children vn and deshawn. She has made several statement that she has had thoughts of killing them and then herself. The last I have heard, she called my mom from the hospital and was going to be admitted into the mental ward. we havnt heard anything since. She told my mom that lastnight she was drinking with some friends and ended up doing 10 huge lines of cocain. If you could please pray for her, that would be nice. If anyone has any sugestions on how to reach her for Christ I would greatly accept it. you can email any suggestion to me.

PRAYING IS GOOD, AND ASKING OTHERS TO PRAY IS GOOD ALSO, BUT SOMEONE SHOULD BE CALLING THE AUTHORITIES, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!! I HOPE YOU DO, TO SAVE YOUR NIECES!!!

Angel thank-you for the encouragement and prayers. Friday night is when she did the coke and was drinking. It wasnt until Saterday that she went to the hospital and called my mom.
The hospital and DRs have gotten protective services involved. She is not allowed near them until given permission from them. I had never taken her seriously about hurting the kids because i would ask her questions and she would say no i havent hurt them i am just mad then not too long later she would be over it and saying how much she loves them. I am Glad that she is getting the help. They are (cps) working out how to deal with the kids they live with vn's dad but he is not deshawns dad. so they can leave her there but in most situations they would take him and place him somewhere else. but they dont want to split them up. Deshawn calls vns dad daddy because he has been there since day one so they have the options of leaveing them both there or sending them both to my brothers home or splitting them up. They havent given any answer to that yet though.
with Sidney, I am not sure why he hasnt posted again. I always let him know that i am on here in hopes that he will continue to reach out but he never does. With his attitude while he is out using he is a sweet heart to me but the terrible things he does is steals from me and others. Constantly lying, or saying he is going one place and ends up somewhere else. So, maybe his meanness while sober is his way of substituting the things he is doing while he is getting high. I dont know. There have been sometimes when he has been clean that he wasnt such a jerk, and I enjoy it when he is like that. but lately it has been more the other. I cant deal with the other two sides of him. His saying is get used to it you know im a Gemini. Well my father is a Gemini and I have never seen him be like that and he is a recovering alcoholic. been clean for 30 years or more So I dont know. but I will relay a message to him that you asked about him

christy;first of all i want to apoligize for not being able to come on here last night to anwser you ,sharon had came over to let me know you were on here, but i was so weak and not doing very well, and was unable at that time to come on, but i just cant keep away from this issue , it worried me so much, and i also stand in agreement with what my friend cindy said here, also christy there is a lot of issues honey we need to focus on right away , and discuss and talk through here, so bare with me, for i stumble on my words a little , but i just had to come and just talk with you on this and i will also email you later .first,let cindy and even you at first pointed out and i know from experience from being on both sides as they say of the fence , sidney is thinking of how he feels when he is on the drugs and how hw feels when he isnt and whenhe isnt he is going through major withdrawel pains and he does'nt know how to deal with it, so hew thinks the ration thing to do is to be a horrible most obnoxios stupid person, because he does'nt understand that what he is doindg is crying out, and that is no excuse, because this is the time he needs help the mostand he needs to see that. he cant for jusrt for one moment come to the realization of that and then in a split second he is climbing the walls because he is jumping literally out of his skin for that next fix.without help , it is going to continue to be that cycle, he has got to be willing to BREAK IT!!!! HE HAS GOT TO WANT TO!BECAUSE UNTIL HE DOES IT IS LIKE TALKING TO THE WIND, HE IS ONLY GOING TO SAY AND DO WHAT HE THINKS YOU WANT TO HEAR AND TO GET HIS WAY, HE NEEDS HELP , HE NEEDS GOD HE NEEDS SALVATION! I know that irritable feeling that Sydney is feeling - it is not a good feeling. Your body wants that "high" feeling so bad and when you know you can't have it - it can make you very irritable. Give him time - if he stays clean - that irritableness will go away. I will keep your sister in my prayers. My daughter has a low IQ and I know how easily other kids walk all over her. It's painful to watch sometimes. That was a very inspiring story and I needed a pick me up today. Brett and I had a terrible argument this weekend and I ended up drinking way too much which made things worse. He took me out of town for the weekend and it all backfired. We were both wrong but he ended up leaving me an hour and half from home - I had to call someone to come get me because I was too proud to call him and ask him to turn around. And then him and my dad got into it and my dad told him to stay away from me. And my parents both want me to end the relationship. But Brett already did that today at lunch. Part of me thinks I'll be better off and the other part is so heartbroken. I just want to do the right thing for him, me and the kids.

Please watch over Christy's sister and help guide her away from the drugs - please give Christy patience and love for Sydney while he is going through this tough time - keep him strong against his urges for drugs - I pray you can help me make the right decision when it comes to being apart from Brett - I pray that the right thing happens for all of us involved and if Brett and I do stay broke up please help Taylor to dealwith it.

I pray for inner peace and happiness without the use of drugs for all of the addicts on this site amen

Thank-you all for the encouragement. an update on my sister: She is still in the hospital they are talking about sending her to a rehab place where she will be able to talk to a psychiatrist. the only problem is her insurance will only pay for 5 days. The kids are doing good so far they have been able to stay with the girls dad, which is good. Him and my mom both spoke with the social worked today and she has not mentioned that they would be removed so that is good so far. My sisters boyfrieds father is a addictions counselor for the state so when she is released from the hospital she will be going to stay with them for a few weeks. This should do some good for her.
I hope you feel better soon Kris and my prayers are with you as well. Quigley, I feel for you I know what it feels like to go through a heartache. Maybe it's for the best or maybe its a test to see where your faith in God is. Either way I will pray that God wraps His protective arms around you and comforts you. Without the alcohol. Stay strong.
