FAITH AND LOVE
Faith and Love Prayer Circle

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ.

The Faith and Love prayer circle was created out of my desire to have a more committed prayer life. I hope that you will feel the comfort of knowing that many will join you in your own prayer concerns; I know I feel an incredible sense of peace, knowing others love me enough to actually pray for ME! Wow.

Our Motto.... PUSH! (Pray until Something Happens!)

We all need a little push from time to time, right?

Join us for an awesome prayer adventure!
May God Bless US Indeed!

Greeting in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...
It is wonderful to be able to fellowship with you all. I will remember you in my prayers. Pray for me and my family also that God will strengthen us for the journey we are to embark upon. Last week I was informed breast cancer had returned after 5 years and has spread to my spine, hip and chest. I'm not claiming this disease, I may have the symptoms, but because of Christ I have the victory. A letter I read in a newsletter reminded me of this and it's author lead me to this site. I thank God for you Linda and your friend who sent the Wal-mart story. My prayer for all of you who read this is that whatever you're going through rest assured you're not alone. I know that God cares and knows just what we need. Be deligent in your praying and petitions. Consistancy in hearing and reading of his word. We all shall reap the benefits of a loving, forgiving, all-knowing father. A Father who only wants the very best for his children. I pray for joy, peace and divine guidance in your lives and the lives of your loved ones. For when our heavenly father departed he left us not alone but the word says he left us a comforter,His Holy Spirt may you know the joy of that comforter in your situation and life today and always.
Amen
With Love, Dianne

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER (By ERMA BOMBECK)

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the
carpet was stained and the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the "GOOD"
living room and worried much less about the dirt when
someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather
ramble about his youth.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up
on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and
sprayed.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose
before it melted in storage.

I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not
worried about grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching
television and more while watching life.

I would have gone to bed when I sick instead of
pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I
wasn't there for the day.

I would never have bought anything just because it was
practical, wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed to last a
lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have
cherished every moment realizing that the wonderment
growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist
God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have
said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner."

There would have been more "I love you's" and more "I'm
sorry's" but mostly, given another shot at life, I would
seize every minute.....look at it and really see it ...
live it ... and never give it back.

Here is an angel sent to watch over you

I just received the following e-mail. Let us all hold Kari in our prayers. If the Lord does want her home, we ask that He lets her parents see her before she goes to be with Him. Knowing the miracles God can perform, we pray for Kari's complete recovery and that the doctors might be astonished by her miraculous healing.
*******
Dear Linda,

I am writing because I know you are a believer - and a dear friend is in need of a miracle. Late Wednesday evening, I received word that one of my 19-year old daughter's 2 closest friends - loved like a sister, had been in a serious car accident that afternoon and sustained severe head trauma. At that time, doctors will still holding out some hope that she would pull through, but yesterday (my birthday), we received the devestating news that new tests have revealed a blood clot on her brain stem. They now say there is virtually no hope, and that if she does awaken, it would probably just be momentary, and she would not be herself.

Kari was such a beautiful, bubbly person - it is just unfathomable that she lies in a coma now, on life support - probably never to awaken, unless the Lord wakes her. She was one of the top students in her graduating class, musically gifted - gorgeous solo voice, also played piano, violin and flute, and was a budding artist, and writer. Most importantly, she was a warm, caring, sensitive person - and much, much loved. She had finished her second year of college this spring, and was working this summer to earn money so she and her Sweetheart could be married soon.

I am hoping that you will keep her and those who love her in your prayers, and if you're still part of a prayer circle, share with them, so they can join us in asking the Lord for a miracle. Kari's parents were overseas on a mission trip, and unable to get a return flight until today - so she is being kept alive on life support until their return. I cannot imagine what they must be going through....I shall let you know what happens....

Love, your friend and sister in Christ,

LuAnn

Just wanted to let you know that I am holding Kari up in prayer.... and her family and all those whose lives have been touched by her presence. May God bless each of you with strength of spirit and faith, knowing that His plan is divine.

Blessings to each of you during this very difficult time.

Dear Linda,

I so much appreciate your prayers for Kari, and for passing along the
request to the prayer circles. I was especially touched by Julia's
words.... Thank you to both of you for sharing them with me.

Sadly, Kari died this morning. She had been taken off life support late
yesterday afternoon, and began breathing on her own! The doctors had
thought that this might happen, but told the family, that even if she
breathed on her own, she would probably remain in a vegetative state. We
were praying earnestly for God to work a miracle -- and this was a great
disappointment.

And yet, through our tears, I know we can trust God's ultimate love and
wisdom. I believe He is grieving too - seeing His beloved children
suffering....and anxious for the time when He will come and reunite families
separated.... As we face this heartbreaking loss of Kari's young,
beautiful, vibrant life...we look forward to the hope that we have as
Christians, that God will indeed heal Kari, and she will live, and love,
laugh and sing again!!

Praise God for that hope, for otherwise this sadness we face on this earth would be too great to bear.... Thank you again for your love and prayers.

Your sister in Christ, LuAnn

Urgent Prayer request:

Hi friends..... just wanted to ask you to please keep praying for Spencer. He was seen by the neurosurgeon and they have decided to do neurosurgery tomorrow...... to help relieve the fluid that is building up in the brain.

Please pray that the neurosurgeons hand will be guided by God.....please pray that the nurses will be alert to his every need.......please pray that God will continue to keep this sweet babe in the palm of His mighty hand while he undergoes this medical procedure....... and please pray that his Mom and Dad will be given the reassurance of God's almighty grace and everlasting love.

So, I thank you in advance for your faithfulness to prayer.....

Barb

The Original request: Sorry that this didn't get posted earlier.....

Hey guys..... have a prayer request. Spencer Matthew, born about 2 weeks ago and 7.5 weeks early, is in need of as many prayers as he can get! His start has been rocky..... 3lbs 3 oz, ventillated for 8 days, collapsed lung on day 4 with need for a chest tube, developed a nasty infection (HIB). He's now off the ventillator and the chest tube has been removed. He's learning to take a little milk (he's up to 20cc per feeding...... 30cc is an ounce, fyi). He even tried to hold his cute little head up last night!

However, Spencer continues to have a level three bleed in the brain.....(level 4 is the worst) and on Monday a pediatric neurosurgeon will be evaluating him because the ventricles in his brain have shown enlargement. His parents are Kristi and Frank... and they are also in need of prayers for strength.

Would you please keep this little munchkin in your prayers.....and if you belong to any prayer chains, would you pass this one along?

I know that God blesses when we take the time to pray for others.....

I will keep you posted as to his progress.

(((((((hugs)))))))

Barb,

Could you please send this to all in your prayer chain? BOth Kristi and I wrote this to that all of them (and yourself of course,) for their much needed prayers....

Frank & Kristi

Friends in Christ:

We’d like to thank each of you for your continued support and prayers for our son, Spencer. Ever since we found out that we were ONCE AGAIN pregnant, we knew we were up against what we thought to be insurmountable odds. Kristi and I were at wits end with the difficult pregnancy and birth of our last child Brenna, who was only a few weeks old when Spencer was conceived. During her pregnancy with Brenna, Kristi suffered from a myriad of health issues that placed her into pre-term labor and on bed rest at approximately 27 weeks. Finally giving birth to her at 35 weeks gestation. She was a perfectly healthy child, able to come home with mom and I, after four days. At best we expected the same with Spencer. BUT as you well know, this was not the case.

Kristi suffered almost immediately from hyperemesis gravidarum and unexplained seizures. Finally going into pre-term labor at 22 weeks with Spencer. As you are all well aware of, she finally gave birth to our wonderful gift at only 31 weeks. (Brenna and Spencer are 10 months to the day apart in age.)

Since his birth, he has gone from suffering a very rare bacterial infection, to a collapsed lung, severe anemia, liver dysfunction and finally enlarged ventricles in his brain from fluid caused by tiny vessels in his precious tiny head rupturing! Today he survived placement of a tapping reservoir into ventricles. Each and every moment, he still continues his upward march to recovery, determined to come home to a large family that loves him dearly. Immediately following today’s surgery, there was obvious, measurable improvement for Spencer. The surgeon drained 15 cc’s of fluid (1/2 an ounce) during the procedure and it is expected that about the same amount will be drained every 2-3 days for the next three weeks. During that time the doctors will determine whether or not Spencer’s body will heal/grow sufficiently to allow his body to process the spinal fluid on its own or if a permanent shunt will need to be implanted. We selfishly ask you to please continue your prayers for Spencer – THEY ARE WORKING!

I offer this testimonial to you - Spencer and our faith will prevail. There is no doubt. He is a living testimony to each and every one of us; that faith, hope, love, and the power of prayer are the true healers. God’s love and guidance (from the professionals that cared for him to the prayer chain you had a part in) will soon bring a healthy, precious child home to us.

These trials and blessed outcomes in our lives only affirm our belief in our Heavenly Father. We pray that by sharing our love and experience with you, it too will affirm your beliefs and offer you hope throughout the trials that you may experience in your lifetime. Know that you are appreciated and we are praying for you as well.

We cannot thank you enough for your kind thoughts, well wishes and prayers. We can only begin by sharing our testimony with you.

Love in Christ,

Frank, Kristi & Family

AND Spence :-)

God has brought us through so much this past year: loss of jobs, income, illness, eviction, and through it all He has never let go, His presence was all around us. Today, we $3500.00 to get caught up on the rent where we have been since our eviction. We moved in with a friend, who has been most gracious, but now she's behind in her mortagage payments, and her job situation is questionable. The money would also get us caught up completely on all of our debts. So please, lift us up in prayer today, we could use a miracle. Rachel
