Thomas W. Glenn Jr.
Tommy was a wonderful man. He was charming, intelligent, charismatic and good-hearted. He could always put a smile on your face.

This prayer circle is for all of those who are suffering from the disease of addiction, dealing with a family members addiction, or those of us who have lost a loved one to addiction. In loving memory of Tommy. September 2,1975-January 27,2001. God Bless

This prayer circle is in memory of Thomas W. Glenn Jr. Tommy was an intelligent, articulate, charming and good-hearted young man. His life ended short at the young age of 25. A true genius, the things he could have achieved if given the chance. On a cold Januay morning he passed away from "bad heroin". His family and loved ones miss him desperately and need prayers. Also, in honor of Tommy the prayers are being said for all of those suffering from the disease drug addiction, families dealing with addiction and loved ones of those who have passed on due to addiction. Tom was a conquerer, if this could beat could beat anyone. Please help one another. Please Lord, give me the strength to continue to fight for this cause. God bless you.

Tom, you are in the Lords hands now and one day we will meet again For now, I pray for you all the peace and happiness in heaven.

May the angels lead him into paradise.
May the martyrs receive him at his coming and take him to Jerusalem, the Holy city.
May the choirs of angels receive him,
and may he, with the once poor Lazarus, have rest everlasting.

Dear Tommy,
Our visit with you was really great! I felt someone caressing my shoulder right down to my wrist. I turn around to ask if my daughter was saying her prayer, but no one was around me. I know it was you saying everything is alright.
PSALM 20: 5-6
Grant what is in your heart,
fulfill your every plan.
May we shout for joy at your victory,*
raise the banners in the name of our God.
The Lord grant your every prayer!

10/4/2001 13:27

I pray for those left behind in Tommy's family. Have faith and ask for God's strength to see you through your special tragedy. Reach out to others who may also have an addiction to drugs, alcohol, food, sex, etc.. God bless Tommy's family.

10/4/2001 16:18

My heart goes out to you and your family.
I am an addict/alcoholic with 15+ years in continuous recovery; I have 6 brothers, and three of them are still "out there", using heroin. Why HAVE I RECEIVED this gift, and them not? I don't know. I DO know that their addiction is NOT MY FAULT, same as mine is not theirs. I DO KNOW that I am only responsible for me, my feelings, my attitude, and what I do with it.
THANK GOD FOR GOD, who has blessed me most mercifully with many days of happiness, joy, and freedom. Because, "but for the Grace of God, go I."
I am dreading the day we get "the call" regarding a death; however, I DO know where there is a breath there is still HOPE>
TO TOMMY'S FAMILY: Please know he is in a loving place now, surrounded with God's grace. And though you grieve his loss, maybe, just maybe, his passing has helped just one other addict suffering. You never know what you don't know...
My love and prayers to all of you...
A grateful Gramma in California

I pray God's grace, mercy and deliverance upon all of us suffering from this terrible disease called addiction. When our family members are addicted it affects the entire family. My heart goes out to the Glenn family. I pray my 31 year old will soon return to his homem training and wake up from this nightmare we are all living in right now. I have literally taken every action I humanly could take to help him. However the demons keep coming back stronger and stronger. I read your prayers until tears feel down my cheeks. Because I can feel the hurt expressed. The word says "where two or three meet in my name and can agree, I'll be in the midst.
So my prayer for all of us is:
Dear Heavenly Father, I know you are an all knowing, all wise God. You knew all of us before we were conceived in our mothers womb, so I must beleive you knew we would be at this particular place in our lives at this particular time. Therfore, I must beleive that you will deliver us and our children from these demonic spirits. I refuse for Satan to have my children because you Dear God did not give these children to me for Satan to have. Satan is a liar and I rebuke him, his powers and all that is a part of him. Greater is he that is within me than he that is in the world. I belong to God and all that he has made me steward over belong to him. So, we pray that God will keep us all strong and give us strength to endure this our time of testing. My sisters and brothers, when we have done all and there is nothing else we can do, we must STAND STILL and wait on God.

May God Bless and Keep All Of You

Dear Lord:

My prayers are with everyone that suffers from the disease of addiction. It could happen to anyone, regardless of what you do, how much you make, how smart you are, etc. It is an addiction, that is cunning, baffling and powerful, as so many say. No one wants it, but I believe God has found a way that we can come together, in small groups, and support one another. This has created a large amount of support for many. I'm sorry for this loss and I rest assured, it will make a statement in someone else's life. I know it did mine. Thank you God for giving someone the opportunity to share, yet another story of this problem. In Jesus name, I pray for Tommy.

10/23/2001 01:18

Praise the Lord! All praises due Him!I pray for my husband Lord Jesus Christ. He is becoming an alcoholic due to our finances. Please help him stop this vicious cycle. He is now starting to neglect me and is becoming sick all the time from too much drinking. In Christs name, Amen.

10/24/2001 09:01

Lord, i give thanks to your forgiveness of our sins if we just ask. i pray for tommy, that if he had not established a relationship with you yet, i pray for the forgiveness of his sins in his place. he was so young. and i would also like to share my experience with addiction in hopes that it may help someone. i was a walking dead person due to my alcoholic drinking. i became suicidal and was taken to a treatment center. i got on my knees in the floor of that hospital and prayed and did a little begging, for the Lord to lift the desire, the need , the addiction off of me. i can't take anymore. and when the treatment center took me to my first AA meeting, i knew something miraculous was taking place. i've been sober for 4 years. so, please seek help for your problems. there is help out there. there is a way to freedom. God does answer prayers. God bless everyone.

Father, I come on behalf of myself and for those in need here that whether my addiction, eating for reasons other that real hunger, or for alcohols, drug addictions, whatever, we need a united stand because you promised us liberity. where the Sprit of the Lord is there is liberity. I claim this now fgor myself and everyone who's willing to come into agreement with me now. Your promised where two or more agree on touching anything it would be donw for them. Deliver us now Lord, from glutttony (eating for the wrong reason) alcohol, pot, drugs, sex, gossip, whatever, in Jesus name. The truth will set us free and we can sow in our weakness and by Your strength be set free NOW!
