CHEMICAL ADDICTION
FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY CHEMICAL ADDICTION

This circle is for the addicted person, and also for those affected by the addiction of others.

Having suffered from multiple chemical addiction for about 25 years and now living a solid, clean and sober life for 3-plus years, I have devoted a portion of my life to service; helping those suffering from addiction online and at 2 treatment facilities speaking before newcomers to recovery. Additionally, online I offer prayer and consolation when requested.

Beneficent Father, please bestow understanding, patience and courage to those suffering so they may face everyday challenges. By the Passion of the Most Sacred Heart of Lord Jesus Christ, the Infinite Healer, please reach out to those suffering and comfort them in their time of need. Despise not this petition and hear their prayer, and deliver them to the confidence of Your Holy Grace. Be the shepherd in their life as you have guided me, and reassure them to a level of hope in You.
-Amen.

Heavenly Father, Creator and Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We commend to your loving care Sandy S. Relieve her of her tobacco addiction and phobias against doctors and medical services, guard her from all danger, restore to her your gifts of radiant health and fitness and of joy and strength, and raise her up to a life of service to you. Hear us, we pray, for your Name's sake. Amen.

Prayer for my wife, Sandy S., that she be led away from her tobacco addiction. Pray powerfully that she heals from her phobias towards doctors and obtaining medical services. And Special prayer that she have her persistent cough looked into and taken care of.

Prayer for my Love, Sandy, that she as well as I, her loving husband, Larry S., be led to the Path and the Way of joyful, radiant fitness and health - physical health, emotional health, and spiritual health.

Pray that I, Larry S., am soon over my severe medical and anxiety problems and put on the road to a full and complete recovery.

And Bless my wife for standing by me so completely during these trying times, as I will stand by her.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15

The Lord Is Thy Keeper

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help [cometh] from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord [is] thy keeper: the Lord [is] thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth,
and even for evermore.

ThankGod I'm still alive.God's with me and he must have a plan.God never wants his child to continue to live/die in addiction. That's MYchoice. No matter how I say "I just can't stop".Man is given choices by God, God never expects us to go thruour pain alone. He is there for us and expects us to be for one another as long as we don't put ourselves in harms way.I know my loved ones feel harmed, hurt and pain I have caused. With serious counseling I need toget to the root of why I feel PAIN anduse drugs to escape. I can't look to God for healing if I don't cultivate my relationship with God and build my spirituality on a sincere, everyday basis.I need a recovery program to stick with NO MATTER WHAT.Recovery programs DO WORK butwith vigilence, honesty and FAITH.I know that they guarantee recovery if I follow suggestions and the path of other recovering addicts.Often families lose faith and hope, and are tired of being hurt,so they distance themselves as far aspossible.Tough love.Enabelers may be the only persons the feel still love them.It may helpthe addict, but addicts only feelabandonment, dispare, hopelessness. We don't love ourselves.Without my parents tolerating mefor many years, and I have only skimmed the surface here,I don't know where I would be.NA and GOD will not enable but continue to always be there until I can finally see for myself as well as my loved ones that it's ok to be an active part of my life, SOBER! I am only able to speak on what I have experienced and what has worked for me in the past.Recovery programs work if you stay with it. So why do I continue to use? I do not follow my own advice and knowledge.Like I don't want to quit, but there's NO successful addicts.Period.Please pray for me for answers to why I continue to do this.I know how to get recovery so what is my problem??
