Faith and Love Prayer Circle

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ.

The Faith and Love prayer circle was created out of my desire to have a more committed prayer life. I hope that you will feel the comfort of knowing that many will join you in your own prayer concerns; I know I feel an incredible sense of peace, knowing others love me enough to actually pray for ME! Wow.

Our Motto.... PUSH! (Pray until Something Happens!)

We all need a little push from time to time, right?

Join us for an awesome prayer adventure!
May God Bless US Indeed!

I know I havent came in here all that much, but I am one that I dont like to complain or dwell on what is happenin in my life. I kow that this is probably the place to come for comfort, but I always say that I dont need comfort and I tend to keep things inside til I cant take it any more. I wouldnt say that I am a good Christian, cause God knows I am not, I dont go to church, but I DO believe in God and I always will. Well I think I have said enough for now. Take care and may God bless each of you!

Please pray for Margaret to be healed of lung cancer and all the ill effects of treatment.

2/3/2002 23:29

Hi Angel! Glad to see you returning. I understand how you feel.... most of us have a hard time asking for "help" and yet find it natural to want to help others. So, whatever your needs are, I will pray that you feel "comfortable" asking God... that is what He wants you to do. He wants you to come to Him for all your needs. If there is anything that I can pray for (specifically), please know that I would be honored to do that for you!

Teechers.... We will hold Margaret up in prayer, asking for God's powerful touch upon her, praying for healing, strength and FAITH. If you have updates on her progress, please let us know.

I'm headed to Mexico tomorrow with my Mom while she goes for a medical appointment. I ask for your prayers that we would have a safe and uneventful trip.

See you on the prayer circle when I return. :)

Dear Lord, please hear my prayer, send down the gift of the Holy Spirit to clarify and purify my words. I pray for all who come to this prayer circle and open themselves up to receive you. I pray for everyone's needs and concerns. We are united and powerful in You Lord. Thank you for this gift. I pray for all lost, hungry, suffering, ill and lonely people. And a special prayer for all the animals in this world. Have mercy on the innocent.

I ask for prayers as I emerge again from sickness and strive to be of creative service. Thank you. Love.

Hi friends...

Just wanted to add another prayer request.... please pray for Gordy, a friend's father who is undergoing medical testing right now. Pray that he is in the care of the best doctors and that all of his testing turns out negative.

Blessings to you all!

PS.... If you are looking for an AWESOME book to stimulate your spiritual growth, I highly recommend a book entitled "What's So Amazing About Grace" by Phillip Yancey. Your life will never be the same after reading this book!

I add to the prayer requests the minute ones of healing for myself and my children. While we are blessed to have insurance and doctors for them - I am not so fortunate as I am still unemployed. We all are battling different stages of strep throat.

And for my grandfather who I have not seen in quite some time (not by my choice) who has been battling different health maladies and I believe is coming to the end of his time here on earth.

And for me specifically as I prepare to chaperone a youth retreat in Prescott with our church. I am blessed to be able to attend this event with her.

And the worries that I am beset by constantly, I try so hard to let them go but my human nature refuses.

Thank you all

3/16/2002 23:50

Hi friends..... just wanted to share an awesome experience I had today!

Some of you have been graciously praying for one of my patients, a beautiful 14 year old girl, named Mary. She suffered a massive stroke approximately 4 weeks ago, and has been my patient for the past month. She touched my heart when I first met her, and we have been praying for her, on multiple prayer chains.

She has been able to comprehend everything for the past 3 weeks and the use of her arms and legs have been steadily returning, however she has had no verbal communication and her swallowing has been profoundly impaired (due to the stroke occurring within the brainstem). Because she is so aware, she has been very emotional during our therapy sessions.

Last week, during our therapy session, she got her first "voice" and it occurred while she was crying. That small breakthrough proved to be major, because as our therapy session progressed, she was able to get control over her ability to breathe and use her vocal cords, and produce "voice" on command (with lots of encouragement.)

Not only has Mary faced this difficult challenge, but her Mom was a patient at the hospital a few months ago as well. Mary's Mom is challenged with a "glioblastoma multiform" brain tumor....also called a GBM. These tumors are the ones that are essentially incurable. They grow very quickly (can double in size in three days) and have protruding "tentacles" which ultimately can not be treated. Mary's Mom is facing anywhere from 2-6 months, as there is nothing more that the neurosurgeons can do for her, beyond the surgeries she has already had. Needless to say, Mary's road seems a long one.

I've felt challenged this past year to pray for my patients. Because my faith is often small, I was feeling very blue when I went to work today, thinking and praying about Mary all week. Today I had the opportunity to witness a true miracle. Mary's speech returned today during her therapy session..... and not just in one word utterances. By the end of the session, God had shown me the power of His healing touch.... and Mary was speaking in full sentences, reading from a book and laughing the most beautiful laugh! When she reached out to give me a hug....she said the most beautiful thing....."thank you for helping me".

Ahhh, well you see my friends, it was not "me" . I did nothing. I didn't even believe that she would have full return of her speech. It's not too often that I do the crying in a therapy session, but today was one of those days. If you don't believe in miracles, I am here to tell you I witnessed one today....and nothing less.

Thank you all for praying for this sweet young girl. Please keep her and her Mom in your prayers!

Just had to share! Keep the faith!

Dear Jesus:
You know my prayer, please let me find a job and please remember Angela and the rest of the people that need financial help. Please show me where to go and what to do. What ever and where ever you want me to go, I will do it. Please open the door for me and deliver me from this heavy burden that is in my heavy heart. I want to become a Medical Transcriber within the next year to work out of my home, but if I don't find a job within the next few days I won't have a home. Our home is in foreclosure. Please Dear Jesus help us.

3/23/2002 22:29

I ask that you please pray for me. I filed for divorce from my husband because of his infidelity. Since he started having an affair I have been treated harshly. I don't see a future with my husband, I feel if it is not this woman it will be another one soon. I had high hopes that this marriage was different and would last. I am so depressed and shattered. I feel so empty and scared. I still love and husband and he does not want a divorce but I can't continue living like this. The woman won't leave him alone, she keeps calling and he won't stop talking too her in secret. I feel thewhole situation is hopeless. I am so ashamed because everyone knows what happened between us. I need prayer that God will sustain me and help me go thru this very difficult time. Soon I will be homeless and without insurance and my husband. I still love my husband but I am miserable in this situation and it is affecting my health badly. My blood pressure is elevated. The doctor says I am having mini-strokes. I have a small benigh brain lesion, and a history of childhood leukemia and a heart condition. I am currently being treated for most of these conditions. I am in so much pain I don't know how to stand much longer I can stand it.The mental anguish is awful. Please pray for me. I will go for my divorce hearing on 04/19/02 Thank-you and God Bless You Mrs. Price

A PRAYER: Relax and let God be the only Person on your mind while you read this Prayer. If we can take the time to read long jokes, stories, etc., we should give the same respect to this prayer. Friends that Pray together, stay together. Let's pray...

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day. I Thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for I have sinned. I ask now for Your forgiveness. Keep me safe from all danger and harm. Let me start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day and give my best in all that is put before me. Clear my mind that I can hear from You. Broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God. And when this world closes in on me, let me remember to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Thy Will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who refuse to share a word from You. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that will only read this and not speak this aloud in their own lives. I pray for those that will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those that don't believe. But I thank you that I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes, that they are out of debt & all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every Battle is in His hands for Him to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly. This is my prayer. Amen. Jesus said, " if you are ashamed of me," I will be ashamed of you before my Father." If you're Not ashamed Pass this on . But only if you mean it. Yes, I do Love God. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I will be nothing. Without him, I am nothing but with Him I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. (Phil 4:13)
