Prayer Circles

PS to Sandy,
My father's accident was on Dec 31 and he died on Jan 3. My mother was also in the accident and was the only one to survive. It took six months of rehab for her to be able to come home to her 7 children.

Dear Sue. I am also praying for you, may God give you strenght today and fill you with wonderful memories, I am sure that our Angel kids are having a birthday party for Alex today, may you feel Alex's presence very close to you today so that you know that he is happy and in the presence of our Lord. Dear Jane. I also had a very quiet New Years, it is a good thing you decided to stay home, there are so many accidents on that night, here in Miami, there were several accidents lots of young people, also the stray bullets killed a youg man, it is so sad, people just don't get it. You are back to work now and we all survived another Holiday Season, Thank God it is over, I didn't go to work today, couldn't gather my energy, tomorrow will be another day. Just wanted to check in before work. Charlene, please know that you are in my prayers this week as Casey Marie's birthday is coming up quickly. I pray for beautiful memories and a calmness of your spirit, a peace that passes all understanding. Hi Dear Sisters,
I really need prayer. My asthma is acting up real bad and I see the doctor tomorrow. He was actually booked but when I described my symptoms the office got back to me and they made the appointment. I know that if he heard me right now he would put me in the hospital. I just can't afford to go. I have the insurance but won't get paid for time off work. Please pray either this calms down by tomorrow or we can agree to try something else before he sends me to the hospital.

Dear Sandy,
Thank you for your prayers. The most amazing thing happened in the doctor's office. My wheezing totally stopped! When he examined me I couldn't stop coughing and almost fainted. He knew that I was in trouble but since he couldn't hear the wheezing he did just what I was praying for. Increase the predisone, get cough syrup and an antibotic. Of course if in a couple of days I don't get better or get any worse, then there is no choice but the hospital. I have a nebulizer at home, so the only advantage of being in the hospital is the IV meds, and of course being observed. He wanted me to take a few days off, but of course I couldn't, but I'm off on Mon and Tues. I promised him I would get plenty of rest then, also when I come home from work, to rest.

You would be proud of me. I totally cleaned out my e-mails. I went from 600 some to 13. I organized everything into folders. At first I was going page by page, then realized I could use search mail and organize that way. Everyone from this circle is in one folder. All beliefnet articles was put into categories and filed. This took some time because I actually had to reread some to see if I wanted to keep them. Also for some reason beliefnet is the only site that was slow and page not found problem. I couldn't get here until I restarted my computer. It feels so good to finally be organized. It was pretty restful because there was nothing physical or mental involved. I left my chair every 30 min so I could relax my shoulders.

It's been extremely quiet here. I pray everyone is recovering from the holidays. Kathy has been especially quiet. If you get any e-mails would you just let us know everyone is OK? I feel so much part of this family that I am concerned when people are MIA. Love, Jane

Thank you all for your prayers already for Casey's birthdate. This past week I've had the stomach flu and now I feel TOTALLY wiped out. I did get up one day and put away the Christmas tree and all the decorations but that made me so tired that I don't care if I get out of bed again for quite a while. :o)
I've been checking the prayer site here and checking my emails once in a while but if I stay up too long I start feeling sick again. I go to my dr. Monday so hopefully I'll feel like getting up to go to that! HaHa
I've been drinking LOTS of water and eating chicken/noodle soup; I had a piece of Hershey's chocolate one day but that set me back so I don't want to even look at chocolate now. That's got to be really bad if I don't want even chocolate! :o)
That's all I can stay up. I'll check back Monday or Tuesday after my dr. appt.

Dezr Charlene,
I'm so sorry you're feeling ill. I'm impressed you were able to take down Christmas decorations. Mine are still up and probably will be until at least Monday. As you probably read I am also under the weather and it takes all I have just to work. Then I collapse. Know that you are very much in my prayers. I heard on the news that many people are ill because of the warm weather almost everyone is experiencing. Keep drinking that water and eating that chicken soup. Lova ya, Jane

Our dear Charlene, gee, you too, but it's the time of the year for bugs to go around. Yes, just keep on doing what you are........that's what we eat here when one of us is sick, good old Chicken Noodle Soup :) and get your rest.
My love and prayers are with you today on Casey Marie's Birthday, Happy Birthday Case Marie! as well as with your daughter and Margie. Is Casey Marie the one who loved Elvis? Maybe he sang Happy Birthday to her, :). It'll be a day of reflection for you with so many memories surfacing, I pray the good one's outweigh the painful one's,

Your wheezing stopped in the Dr.'s office? God is good, all the time! If you don't have to work tomorrow or Tuesday, then you really are following his order's to take a few days off,,,as long as you rest up!
Wow, that IS something to be proud of, over 600 emails and now down to 13!! That's quite an organizing accomplishment and good for you! That's what I have and do, folders for different things I want to save and labelled them.
I haven't received anything from Kathy lately, but Anita e-mailed me and told me she couldn't get onto Beliefnet so to send her love and prayers to all for her. Connie doesn't have a Computer, she can only post if she use's her grandson's cellphone. Another person I haven't heard from lately is Donna (arqt), I usualy get quite a few jokes, fwd.'s from her but nothing lately. YES, we miss you all when we don't hear from you, I agree with Jane!

Yes Sandy, the wheezing not only stopped in the doctor's office, but hasn't been bad since. I did find out that I can use my nebulizer before bed, or take my cough syrup before bed. I was awake all night Sat night. Ended up calling work at 7:00 AM to get a coworker's number to switch shifts with me. She agreed, but wasn't happy I work her up. I don't usually use cough syrup with codiene in it and I remember the last time being up all night. Now I know not to take it after 6:30. I'm also staying away from towels for now (it's part of my job to fold them and put them away). My boss is agreeable for awhile, but if it's permanent I'll have to move to another department, which I really don't want to do. The doctor seems to believe the weird weather has a lot to do with it. Anyway, I slept in this morning, not by choice, somehow I set my alarm for pm, so didn't wake up in time for church. I feeling much better. Thank you for your prayers. Love, Jane

Sandy, thank you for your prayers and thoughts. No, Casey wasn't the one who liked Elvis; I can just see her rolling her eyes at you and saying 'oh brother'. HaHa.
I actually got out for a little bit this morning; my hubby and I took a fresh long-stemmed rose to the gravesite for Casey. The weather wasn't bad or cold, just windy. That made me start coughing, though, so I had to get back home. It's a pretty quiet day here; I'm glad because I need my rest. Ha. I'm so tired of my bed that I roam around the house looking for a new place to sit for a while. Oh well, this too shall pass...and life will get hectic again and I'll wish for some peace and quiet. :o)

Dear Charlene, ~ I've read all the posts before submitting so I was happy and also relieved that you made it through Casey Marie's birthday without too much stress. It always helps to know that you don't have to face the special days alone. I lit my special day candle and prayed a special prayer for you, your daughter, and Margie early this morning before turning in. When I came here and read your post, I smiled and thanked God for answering all our prayers. Your comment to Sandy about Casey made me smile. It gave me a vivid vision of Casey's humorous personality. :) Thank God for the fond memories we have to share. I agree with Sandy: "God is good, all the time!" :)

Dear Sister Angel Moms, ~ I am asking that you pray for me as I face a few stressful challenges. As Charlene said, [I pray that] this too shall pass. The recent loss of one of my classmates who lives here, and a recent phone call from another who lives in California informing me that a doctor performed the wrong surgery on her has triggered some sad memories. Again, as Charlene has already said [and I agree], "This too shall pass!" It's just that the prayers of others added to your own makes it easier to face whatever you may be going through. Like I've read so many times in most of your posts, most of my earlier life and also presently, I've thrived on being there for others. In the process, however, many times I forgot to take care of me. If this sounds familiar, angel moms, I pray that you will make it a habit to take good care of you. :) I know now, that it is the best gift you can give to yourself, your family, and your friends. :) I pray that all members of our circle of love will remember to start or continue doing that in 2007. My love to all.

I'm glad you made it through the day and was able to place a flower for Casey Marie. It must have felt so good to get out of the house for awhile, even if it did bring on more coughing. From what I hear it will take some time for that cough to go away and to get your energy back. Here they don't even give it a name, just say it's the bug everyone has! Yes, life is full of stressful situations. It seems the older we get, the more we are reminded to take care of ourselves.
