Prayer Circles

Hi All,
Unlike CA it's cold and snowy in Chicago. I awoke this AM to lots of snow coming down! Now it's just flurries. Please pray Janie, someone in the dialogue group who has a special day on Saturday. We all know the apprehension that comes with our special days. Don't have much time right now. Will post later. Lots of love to everyone. Jane

Evening to all of you Angel Moms! I want to thank of you for all of the birthday wishes.They were much appreciated. Charlene,yep,you have someone in your age group. Aint we something?:0) I thank God I may it to this age because He didnt have to do it.I know He's not through with me because I am still under construction. Selva I love the ideal of helping with the homeless. During the winter, my church participate in something we call PADS. It shelter the homeless in a church from Friday through Monday. People volunteer to chaperone. I would go with about six or more others and stay until around 10 at night. The fellows spend the nights. We cook for them, read to them, play games with them etc. I wish we could do it all year long, but the church only does it in the winter to protect them. Jane is right, its not even Halloween yet and we have snow, temperature in the 30s, etc. Its so cold now. My grandson's birthday is tomorrow and his last football home game. So he wants all of his family there to see him play and celebrate his birthday. These old bones aren't used to sitting on the cold bleachers but I will do it for my grans. My birthday was enjoyable, I worked, and thats something I haven't done in ages. I kept expecting Derrick to call me but I know he said it in his own way. I am praying for all of you and your families and that all of you are led by the Holy Spirit. Love you all and have blessed and wonderful evening. Connie.

My dear sisters, just a quick post, CONNIE, I am sure that Derrick called, see, you have to be aware of signs, they can not talk to us like they used to, let me give you an example, two days ago I was really in need of a sign from Solange, I have a very large yard where I keep a small place with Solange's garden, I have a swing right in front of it, I went to the yard with a very very heavy heart and I said please Solange if you are with me right now please give me a sign, all of a sudden this beautiful little feather came out of the sky, I knew that at that very moment she was with me, I usually keep those special feathers in a small frame, so I put my feather in that frame, that gives me such a support. Please my dear sister, I am asking now for prayers for my sister, I talked to my brother today and we decided that tomorrow we will put her in the hospital, in the bad way, she doesn't want to go into the hospital. So please pray for us my dear sisters. Prayers works and I really need all of your prayers. Love and prayers Selva

My Dear Selva, thank you. I sent you an email that I hope will help you to deal with whats happening with your sister.
Lord God hear my prayer. My sister Selva and her family are in need of your everlasting love. They need you Lord God to touch them, they need you to surround them with your undying love. Lord God they need your grace and mercy in this trying time. Bless them oh Heavenly Father. Give them the strenght that only you can give to get through this trying time. Cover them with your Armor Lord God so that they all can come out victoriously. Use them as your instrument, use them so that they can rejoice and cry out to everyone, VICTORY IS MINE. Let them know there is nothing you cant do and you will never leave them nor forsake them. This was your promise to all of us through the blood of your only son. Have mercy on them, have mercy on all of us from this day forward forever and forever. All of this I ask in your darling Son Jesus Christ name, Amen.

Oh good, our dear sister Selva posted - she sent me an early morning e-mail telling me they were putting Nancy in the Hospital today, Praise God! Let's pray that Nancy is not angry and realize's Selva and her brother are doing this for her own good. I know it's a very hard thing to do, I had to do it with one of my sister's, a few year's back too. That is exactly where Nancy belong's, in the Hospital, and the strain on our dear Selva is too much for her.
I know she need's our prayers for Nancy and for herself too, God bless you all dear sisters,

Father God, I lift Selva up to You today for You to give her peace today. I ask You to relieve her mind of the burden of caring for her sister; we know, Father, that family care for each other, but we also know that when it gets to be too much for us there are others who can care for them much better than we can. Above all, Father, show Selva that You care for her sister even more than she does and that You have them both in Your hands today. Father, give Selva peace and rest today in Jesus' name.

Dear Selva,
Sister, you are greatly loved. I am sorry that Nancy is going to the hospital but I am also glad of it. She will get the care she needs and and you won't be run so ragged. I know how hard this is but please remember our Lord in Heaven is holding you both in his hands. Lord I pray for peace and comfort for Selva and her family. I pray that she is able to find rest and have peace with the decisions she and her brother are making. I know Lord that you will be there for them in a way we can only imagine and I trust that the love you have for them will help them along this road. We are never alone Lord, you are with us at all times and we are so thankful. Amen

I prayed for you during the day. I did not have time to post cause I was with my granddaughter all day. You made the right decision. I pray Nancy will quickly realize it. Please don't spend all your free time at the hospital. You need to rest so you can help Nancy through her illness. God be with both of you during these next very trying days. Love, Jane

I heard from our dear sister Selva late last night, she had stayed at the Hospital until Nancy fell asleep )they had given Nancy a shot). This is the 1st time Nancy's ever been hospitalized and she was very shaky and of course nervous about it, so that's why Selva stayed until she fell asleep.
Selva asked me to post for her, and tell you all how grateful she is for your support, love and prayers for Nancy and herself! She is deeply appreciative to all who are praying for Nancy and she! Selva is going back up to the Hospital this morning to be with Nancy.
Apparently Nancy was developing pneumonia ON TOP of her emphyzema, Praise God that they had her hospitalized! She had also fallen due to the sweeling of her feet and legs and Selva had one heck of a time getting her back up, so that's what prodded her to call her brother and do something about this stressful situation for her and for Nancy's health, God love them both.
I just wanted to convey our dear Sela's message to everyone and also keep you updated,

I did go to the board and practiced, but didn't submit. So thank you for the info. The dialogue group is going slow. I didn't check yesterday cuz I was out all day. I'm checking there next. Since it started there only about 5 people who have posted, and only 3 on a semi regular basis. I even started a topic "WHERE IS EVERYBODY?". Hopefully more people will get involved. I have suggested coming to this prayer circle for continued prayer and support. Have a great weekend. Love, Jane PS Connie and I were complaining how cold it was here. How to I get to the AV Cafe without following the link. Yesterday, I couldn't get on any prayer circle and was wondering if it was down. So I decided to go to the cafe, however I couldn't find it. Since I couldn't come here for the link, I was lost. Since no one has posted in the last 24 hrs I assume Beliefnet had us shut down. Do you know what happened? Hope your weekend is restful. Selva, I am still praying for you and Nancy. My older brother stayed with me for years in my basement apt. One night I noticed how black his toes were.He told me he bumped into the table(that was a lie he didnt want me to take him to the doctor). Finally I took him to VA and they said it was good thing I made him go.He lost his foot because he had gangrene. He's not a diabetic, get this, the gangrene came from Athlete's Feet.Its a good thing I took him when I did because the doctor said it would have gotten so bad he would have died. My brother stayed in that basement for three years, never coming up, never going outside. He drank and smoked himself to death every month for two weeks straight. Hes a retired Sgt. from the Army so he was used to giving orders not taking them. So he did not take it well that his youngest sibling was telling him what to do :0) His permanent home is now the VA. He loves it. He goes on outside outings, plays Bingo every night, gets to share war stories with other vets. He has 5 purple hearts. He thank me everyday for saving his life. I was depressed about putting him there at first now I know God lead me to that place to save my brother's life. So Selva, you did do the right thing. God Bless you and Nancy and God Bless all of our Angel Moms.

Good morning Angel Moms, ~ I am so sorry it has taken me so long to post. However, I think you know that my prayers are ongoing for all. :) I have been feeling a little down lately, but know that if it is within His will, this too shall pass. Still counting my many blessings and thanking God for His love and protection for all; night and day. I pray for all who are going through any form of depression and/or physical pain. I pray for our troops and their families, for our leaders, the homeless, and for peace on earth. I pray for all families who have become victims of violent crimes. Lord, it seems we need you now more than ever! Please protect our schools; students/faculty/and staff, from this ongoing outbreak of violence. I pray this prayer in Jesus' name, Amen!

That He would grant unto us, that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear.

Dear Selva, ~ I am so sorry to read about dear Nancy's accident, but so very glad that God led you to take her to the hospital. As Connie said, that was God leading you, and answering our prayers. Our faith teaches us that He will not forsake us during times of sorrow or times of sickness or trouble. Like our precious children, we may not see Him, but we know He is there to help us deal with whatever life throws our way! By our faith, we know there will be a brighter day ahead no matter what we go through down here below. As you go through these trying times, please lean heavily on God; for He is able to see you through. Please know our prayers are with both you and Nancy 24/7.

Dear Connie, ~ I enjoyed reading your bitter/sweet post about your brother. It brought tears, but a smile at the end. :) As the lyrics of an old favorite reminds us: "There's gotta be rain in your life, to appreciate the sunshine." :) Five purple hearts!!! You must be so very, very proud of him! May God continue to bless him and shower him with His [Son-shine!] :)

Selva, I'm so glad you got Nancy to the hospital okay; sometimes we KNOW what we've GOT to do. That's God's voice telling us to act; sometimes I do what He says and sometimes I doubt my 'hearing' and don't do what I hear. But, we learn by experience. I'm just so glad that Nancy is getting the treatment she needs; she'll get used to the hospital too and be glad when she gets to go home. Maybe she will take better care of herself so she won't have to go to the hospital again. :o)
Connie, yes you must be very proud of your brother for all the purple hearts; and he should be proud of you for standing up to him and getting him the help he needs! :o)
Verna, so good to hear from you again. Thank you for your morning prayer; it lifted me up this morning. I'm finally getting over my cold and starting to feel 'normal' again. Our oldest daughter's baby girl is due to be born this week so pray for all of us as I'll probably be the one to watch the other 5 kids while she's in the hospital. The oldest two are 15 and 14 so they should be a big help, even if they are boys. HaHa.
The weather is very nice here and we're finally getting some moisture, even though it's just a sprinkle and drizzle all day long. Thank you all for your prayers! I really feel for all of you in the snow; I'm not ready for that yet even though I love the snow.
