Prayer Circles

Hi All,
It's 1:30 PM and I have tried this AM to reach my parents, but no answer. I left a message for them to immediately contact me as I was concerned. I don't even know what hospital did the procedure. Thank you for your prayers.

Hi Everyone,
I just received a call from my stepfather. My mom's procedure was postponed until today. Everything went well. She has an irregular valve and curved artery but no surgery is needed. She just has to stay on her heart medication. Thank you for all your prayers. Love, Jane

Jane, I'm so glad! I read your earlier post and began praying that God would give you peace; because He cares for your mom even more than you do, He will watch over her (and you too). I'm so glad that everything turned out okay and all she has to do is continue her meds. I also pray that your relationship will lead her to be more open with you. Miracles do happen you know; just not like/when we want them to sometimes. Thanks for keeping us informed.

I have been thinking for some time now that my mother doesn't have a clue of what I am about. Awhile ago I was going to write her a letter but didn't get around to it. I am going to write that letter now. I can't get her quiet enough on the phone to listen, but I know she loves mail. This letter is not to bring shame or condemnation, rather it is to explain to her who I am today. What my passions are, my struggles and especially my faith in my Heavenly Father. It's meant to be positive and perhaps open a door of communication. So if you think of it, I would appreciate prayer as I compose the letter. Love, Jane

That is a great idea. I do that when I just can't seem to talk to the person I write to. It is good for you and the person receiving the letter. When Wes passed, I wrote him a letter everyday. Just like he was away visiting somewhere. I still do it but just not everyday. It makes me feel better to tell him all about me. It is just between he and I like it would be between you and your Mom. I will of course send my prayers to you. Good idea!

Jane, Hallelujah Thank You Jesus. After I read your first Post, I immediately started to pray. Thank God when I got to your last one, God had answered all of our prayers. I believe that God changes people and God changes things. There is no problem,circumstance, or situation greater than God.He is in the fix it business and our God is always up to something isn't He? I think your letter writing is excellent. I used to communicate with my ex that way :0). He would never listen but he loved to read. Once your mother reads your letter, she will see what a beautiful daughter she has, a daughter that God sent here to represent. I pray for you and her relationship I can tell how much you love her. Dont stop loving her Jane, we are just going to keep praying that God comes into her heart.

Chris and Kathy thank you for your advice. I will surely take heed to it because Thanksgiving is not that far and everyone will be watching me. I still have some candles left over and I will light it in honor of him. Kathy, Derrick is like Wes, he used to tell me I was the strongest woman he knew, so I know he wants me to carry on protect his children and to keep his memories alive. He did not like to see anyone sad so this Thanksgiving, I will put on a happy face for him (like I said before, hopefully my crying will be over by the time everyone comes over :0) )) I appreciate both of you giving me ways of handling the upcoming holidays. My dear sisters. Just a quick post.Jane I am so happy that you heard about your mom, please be sure that Prayers works and all of us are praying for you mom and you. My dear sister Kathy, I just came home , I had to go to the hospital to visit my aunt (90), she had a mild stroke last night and fell down and borke her head, but not too much, she is doing just fine, I did read your wonderful e mail and I Thank you, that conversation with God I needed it, thanks my dear sister. I have to go and take care of my sister now, she is in pain (she had 2 broken vertebraes) on top of the emphyzema. Anyway my dear Connie, Jane, Charlene and all my dear dear sisters, let me tell you this. Thanksgiving is a very rough holidays for all of us, the first Thanksgiving I went through without my Solange, I decided to go to Miami Mission, which is a place for homeless people, I spent my day and night there and it was very rewarding, serving and preparing food for the homeless and at the same time, learning how they try to survive and improve was a very rewarding experience, since then, I did it every year except from last year when I decided to be by myself. Of course you guys have other children and I think you should be with your family, and even that there will be an empty chair, that chair will not be empty, only through the eyes of those who can not see, but in our eyes, we know that our children will be there. and they will also be enjoying the family, please my dear sisters, I know that it is hard, but please count your blessings, enjoy your children and family, our Angel kids will be happy to see that and they will also enjoy it, even if we can't see them with our Earthly eyes, they are there, I am sure that Wes, Derrick and all of our Angel kids will be tasting the turkey and giving you all a pat in the back. Thank you all my fellow AngelMoms, sisters, for the support and prayers for Thanksgiving, they mean the world to me! Sorry I haven't been around much the last couple of days, but I'm doing some work for Beliefnet (today as well)but I just had to come here first and see how everyone is doing!

Hi dear Charlene, don't worry, it's due to the technical work Beliefnet is doing on their site - things should be back to normal soon. I think too that it's a wonderful idea to write to your Mom, sometime's its a far more effective way to communicate.

I was so ready to sit and type the letter this morning. Then I got a phone call to see if I could pick up some extra hours. So I have to put it off another day, since I'll be too tired tonight, won't get home till 10:00. But, first thing tomorrow I plan to have it done and in the mail, so she recieves it on Sat. Thank you for your prayers and confirmation that this is the right thing to do. Love you all. Jane

I'm glad the prayers helped for your Thanksgiving; and thanks for letting us know about that day. I had no idea that Canada's Thanksgiving was different than ours--duh! (Now I have to laugh at myself.) Thanks for checking in and keeping us all informed about what's going on.

I am sorry to hear about your Aunt, boy, you have your hands full don't you? I am praying for you today that our Heavenly father lighten your load a little and he continue to bless you. That is a beautiful way to spend Thanksgiving...at a mission helping the homeless. I can imagine how rewarding that is. I may have to try that! You are right dear sister, there are no empty chairs. Good morning Angel Moms!
Wishing you all a great day today. It is a beautiful day here in Southern CA. The sky is blue, colors are vibrant and just the slightest chill in the air. I am alive by the good Grace of God. So many things to do and so much happiness to spread around. Thought I would share some with you all. Have a blessed day!

O God, help us...to be considerate of all we meet...to be faithful to trust...to be prayerful every hour of the day, to be joyous in all life's experience. Amen
