Shane Whalen
This Prayer Circle is Dedicated to my son Shane Whalen Who Passed Away On March 15, 1999 at the Age of 24, & All Other Children

Start a prayer circle for bereaved parents who have lost a child.

There are many of us out there who have lost a child, and it is devastating. It changes the outlook on life, plunges you into a depression, and you think that the feelings and thoughts you have nobody else could possibly relate to. I think a prayer circle for bereaved parents would only benefit us and help us on our journey of grief. This Circle is one of Love, where a Grieving Parent can safely come to for Prayers, and to talk about their feelings.

Good afternoon all! I am on my lunch break and decided to sign in. Anita I will pray for that young lady. Last night a five yr old from here was called home to glory. Her mom took her to the dentist on Sat. and he over sedated her. She went into a coma and never came out. I am praying for this little angel's family and I am also praying for the dentist and his family. Kathy thank you for that article about the caregiver. Verna that poem said it all. My mom died from a bee sting and it was something we didnt expect. I love her so much, we were so close. Now everyone says I am just like her. I will copy that poem to give to my daughter because she is like that as well. Love, peace and joy to each of you.

Connie,
I heard about that little girl on the news. What a tragedy. I am sure the dentist is just beside himself. I too pray for them all.
Peace to you
Kathy

Thank you all you really don't know how much this means to me . I am not going through this alone. I have got to tell you I got the news about my mom wed night last week.I have cried on and off all week, I can't seem to do my daily functions. But: yesterday I was good, I acually thought wow I'm doing good I wonder why? Nothings changed! Then I checked beliefnet. When ever you doubt the power of prayer remember this. I thought to myself oh that's why, I had all of you praying. It really does work. I have no news of my mom. She has not eaten in 4 weeks and only sips of water. There will be no interventions. Oh Dear Jesus take my mommy home soon.
ps. I can't see my pictures either.

Good morning, everyone. It's been a little bit since I've been on here. I would like to ask for prayer for our family. A few weeks ago, my dad's cousin(also his best friend) and his wife, were in a motorcycle accident. His cousins's name is Dennis. Dennis was already suffering from a brain tumor at the time of this accident. The accident caused serious injury, including his back being broken in a couple of places. But, he was pulling out of it. Unfortunately, the tumor had taken over while he was down and caused him to have a major stroke this past Saturday. He was declared brain dead and life support was turned off. He passed away yesterday morning and my dad is just devastated as well as Dennis's wife and two children. His wife has a broken leg and is wheelchair bound at this time because of the accident. I am asking for prayer for this family. They are having a really rough time. Dennis had a brain tumor about 12-14 years ago, but they were able to remove it and he healed completely. It came back about 1-2 years ago. Dennis was a really neat man and he will be missed. I know that his family has faith in God and will be okay with time, but I am very worried about his daughter. She loves her dad very much and this has been so hard on her. I would appreciate your prayers for all of Dennis's family and friends. Thank you.

Margie.

Margie and Chris, my prayers are with you and your family. All of us will continue to pray for each other as you stated, the power of prayer. As long as we have each other, I know our prayers will reach God's ears because his son will intercede for us. Thank God for Intercessory prayers. It will never let us down. Much love to all of my sisters. Stay strong and stay focus.

I don't know whether to say good morning or good evening as it just past midnight my time! I want to thank all for praying for me. My shoulder is doing better. Last night I actually slept with no pain! Usually at night it hurts more because it's not in a sling and I move it a lot. I was able to pick up hours tonight so I won't miss any hours this week.

Yesterday, I discovered I was really fretting about the situation. I was frustrated and battle weary. It seems just as I get a handle on finances, something happens. I pray the Psalms almost every day. Yesterday I read Ps. 116:7, "Return oh my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you." (ESV) How awesome was that! Just a gentle reminder from the Lord that He indeed has taken care of me and will continue to do so. Therefore I have a choice, I can continue to fret or to rest. I choose to rest! I hope this will encourage someone here. Know you're all in my prayers. Love, Jane

Dear Margie and Chris,
My prayers are with you. Ps. 116:15 states, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." (ESV) The NLT has it this way, "The Lord's loved ones are precious to him; it grieves him when they die." This tells me that your loved ones (mother, 2nd cousin) are precious to the Lord and He is delighted to receive them after their death, but He also grieves with those left behind. May you feel the warmth of His comfort during this very difficult time. Love, Jane

Thank you Connie. :) So sorry to learn that you've also lost your mom. Yes, please share A Mother's Love with your daughter, and anyone else you feel it might bring comfort to. I think it's one of the poems I had added to Diane's memorial site along with a few more that I've written over the years. I guess the site is still there ... I'd better check! It's been a while since I've visited. I don't have a host for the site, so they had added a lot of advertisement, which makes the pages difficult to load and view. Most of the poems I've written seemed to help my shattered heart to heal and it is my prayer that they will help other angel moms also. So feel free to visit www.thespearofstrength.com when time permits. If you go there, please sign the guest map and guess book. I also invite our other angel moms to do the same. :) There is a photo of my daughter there and also a snapshot of me which was taken about 15 years ago [I think]. I will be forever grateful to our Chief Angel Mom, Sandy, for encouraging me to share my poetry online. God willing, I hope to have the site updated with paid hosting someday. May God bless Sandy and the person who built the site always.
Much love & prayers,
Verna

Dear Heavenly Father,

This is my prayer
Please bless all angel moms
And keep them in Your loving care
Please bless their families
And other love ones too
Surround them with Your peace
As only You can do
Let each of them know
They are not alone in their pain
Please remind them, Lord…
They will see their beloved children
And other loved ones again!

Hi my dear sister, Selva, ~ Just a short note to let you know that I am praying that Nancy is getting better and that you are taking care of yourself. All of us here are lifting up both you and Nancy in our heartfelt prayers. Jane and Charlene, I am also lifting you all in my prayers for healing. Charlene, I hope your husband is getting better also. Margie, my heart goes out to you, your dad, and the family. I am so sorry to read about the accident and Dennis's passing. This has to be so very difficult for his entire family - especially his precious daughter. I will say an extra prayer for all. Anita, I visited your beloved daughter's and your son's site late last night and the post about your son hiding under the sink made me smile. It was as though I could see him hiding there. :) I felt so much love at both sites. God willing, I will get around to posting at all our angels sites soon. Chris, glad to know that our prayer helped. There is power in prayer. Kathy, I join you and others in prayer for the little girl who went into a coma, her parents, the dentist, and both families and friends. Hope I didn't miss anyone; If I did, please know that you are in my heartfelt prayers also. Again, I thank all of you for praying for me.
Love & Prayers,
Verna
