Dear Father,
I never had the courage and strength to tell out openly to the world about my sins but Lord I think it's time I don't runaway from all the things I have to face.
There are lot of things I've done some by mistake and some I've done deliberately. I regret for all that Lord. I know Lord that You love me sooo much that You died for me on the cross. So, Lord I just want to say to you "Thank You" for all the things that You've done for me even though I don't deserve it. I just want to do onething in return Lord, You know pretty well all the things I've been doing I will try my level best to keep the cross beforemy eyes so that I'll not be able to sin again Lord.
Lord help me to keep up my word. I also ask You to bless the onewho is reading this prayer as You blesses me when I was going through someone's prayer. I ask all this in name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

I am a child of God too,but where in the bible does it say masterbation is a sin??

I am trying to conquer my obssession for masterbation. If anyone would like to share their suggestions on how to stop or just general views of masterbation, I strongly ask that you send them to me. I am a sixteen year old sophomore male. e-mail wong_brianandrew@yahoo.com

Hi. We are human beings with desires, and there is nothing wrong with masterbating. The only time it's a problem is if one is using masterbation as an escape from true intimacy with a loving partner. We are suppose to pamper ourselves whether it's a long hot bubble -bath, getting a back massage, applying moisturizer, and yes masterbating. When we have an itch, we scratch, when we have a headache we rub our temples, so when we are aroused some if not all of us, masterbate. Sexuality is a wonderful thing. It's a gift as long as we do not hurt another human being or any life form, it's not a sin. There are people who have no partner, or are away from their partner, or they are too afraid of love etc.... so masterbation is a safe, harmless activity if it's done for the right reasons as I've mentioned at the beginning. To me, it's a sin to rape, molest, torture, and hurt others. Masterbation should not be put in that same catagory.

Please take away the feelings of guilt some people feel for giving themselves pleasure by masterbating.

Oh heavenly Father, I thank you for leading me to this webpage. The prayers of my fellow brothers and sisters here have encouraged me so deeply Father, and I thank you so much for the very needed uplifting. But I know in my heart that the One who truly lifts me up is the Holy Spirit, and I thank You for that.

However, there have also been several discouraging comments on here, thankfully they have been a minority. If I may take a moment to stop praying I need to address the people saying negative things or going on about how "masturbation is not a sin". Whether it truly is or not, only the Lord knows, does that argument need to take place HERE? SHOULD it? A place where people who have a very real problem with masturbation, people like ME, have come to seek help?

Please, I urge you to keep your "prayers for those who consider masturbation a sin" to yourself and God, because frankly they are discouraging and hurtful to me. You have no idea how much masturbation has RUINED MY LIFE, and for you to tell me I'm confused is simply inconsiderate of me and the others here who are crying out against masturbation. So please, just show us some respect and love?

As for sin in general...I look at it like this. Examine your actions and ask yourself, "Would Jesus be happy if he was right next to you, in the flesh, watching what you were doing?" And I HIGHLY doubt Jesus would be ok with me masturbating right in front of him. In my PERSONAL OPINION it is a sin, and I want it out of my life more dearly than any other sin because it is dragging me down so violently.

Oh Lord God, I am thankful that I am not alone in this struggle against the Evil One, that my brothers and sisters in Christ are also struggling so dearly to beat this sin, and that You are helping us all in our struggles. Father, look upon us with mercy and let us know that we are forgiven when we mess up, when we turn from you and return to our vomit like dogs. I beg You, Jesus Christ, to reach down and pluck this sin from our lives! I cry out to You Father, save your people from the Evil One!!! He is too strong for us alone! We need YOU, Jesus, to fight for us and to defeat the sin of masturbation in our lives! Kick out the Devil and let the Holy Spirit come and dwell within our holy temples!!! I am so thankful that 2 months ago you promised to deliver me from this, and my only other request is that You help me to have patience and strength as I wait for the day You remove this filthy cup from my life. Thank you Jesus, for everything you've done, everything you're doing, and everything you will do! I pray all these things in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ! Amen!!!

I would just like to say how much the honesty reflected by most here is so heart warming. Masterbation is a sin in its intention. It is plain and simple lust and is a motivation behind pornography. Pornography sets a dominance in modern society where men and women's bodies are exploited in a way Jeses our Lord is hurt by. Sexual love is one of the most amazing gifts from God and I pray that all can experiece it without the corruption of this idea which is seldom seen. I would just like to ask for you all to pray for me as pornography is a temptation that hurts me even now and was involved in an abusive sitation which has scarred me ever since.
