Prayer Circles

Hi our dear Susan, oh gosh yes, this isn't whining! I'd be worried too if my son was in the same situation! I haven't heard yet today just where Ivan is at the moment, I have a friend in Puerto Rico who is in the midst of Hurricane Jeanne right now, hope to hear from he and his wife soon!
They have their priorities a little mixed-up, don't they, move the planes but not the people??
You know we'll be praying for this and for you too, a little peace for a worried Momma's heart. Please let us know tomorrow when you hear from Chris,

My Dearest Angelmoms, sisters and friends,

My prayers are with you all, especially those of you whose lives have been fraught with the added danger and stress from Hurricane Ivan. I pray that you and your families are all safe in God’s loving grace and that he will bring you comfort and strength.

Please keep us all informed on how you all are doing, when possible. Many of us are geographically far away from each other, but we all know that the hearts of loving friends keep us close together.

Selva, Mr.Bird, Susan, Verna, and all others whose lives have been affected by all these hurricanes and storms, please know that my heartfelt prayers are with you. I pray that God will give you strength, protection and comfort.

For all of us grieving and struggling Angelmoms (and friends) I pray that God will bless us with His comfort and hope.

Dear Heavenly Father,
You have promised us a life in eternity with you. I pray Lord that we see not only the work you do here but that we feel comfort in knowing that Your salvation still lies ahead of us as a promise yet unfilled. When we are struggling, Lord, please increase our hope. Help us to wait patiently for that final salvation. Our hope lies in You alone.

Hi our dear sister Marci, oh I know, these Hurricanes are terrible, they seem to be coming one right after the other, but yes, our hearts and prayers are with all here and everyone in the path. I finally heard from my friends in Puerto Rico who just went through Hurricane Jeanne, it was downgraded to a Level 1 when it hit them, but judging from the pic's they sent, still lot's of damage and flooding and some loss of life, sadly.
Beautiful Scriptural quotes dear Marci, comforting and full of hope! I pray that elephant's hide isn't as tough and the 'bites' are still staying small for you, You don't say how you're doing dear one, you know we care and will listen, always.

Hi AngelMoms,
Thank you so much for all your prayers for my son Chris. With God's protection, he made it through Ivan safely. My husband and I are driving to Mississippi next weekend to visit him before he heads back to Germany.
My heart breaks for the people that lost so much. Except for my Mom who lives in Arizona and my brother who lives near San Diego, all of my relatives live in Puerto Rico and Florida. They all suffered a lot of damage. I also found out that the beautiful beachfront cottages were destroyed at Pensacola Naval Station. It is where we stayed last Christmas because it was the first Christmas without Alex and we couldn't bear to be at home. That place was so special to me because I believed my family healed a little bit during our visit there.
My prayers go out to everyone belonging to this special circle of love and hope.

Hi our dear sister Susan, I am so glad that Chris is OK, I hope you don't venture into Florida this weekend, once again we are under hurricane watch, the same old Jeanne is coming back our way, yes even in the National Hurricane Center which is based here in Miami, in FIU where Solange used to go , are wondering what happened, Jeanne made a U turn and back to our coast and it is supposed to hit us on sunday, but it will not hit where Chris is, this will only hit the east coast, so don't worry he will be OK. Dearest AngelMoms,
I'm getting ready to leave for Mississippi to visit my son. I am so excited to see him!!! He will be going back to Germany Saturday afternoon. I wish we had more time to spend with him, but I will take and treasure what I get. I went shopping and bought toys and clothes for my grandcuties. I got to speak with them the other day. Damion (3 years old) was so proud of himself. He learned his first Bible verse and recited it to me!! You could imagine how this GrandMomma felt!! That little boy made my day!! Dianna (5 years old) started Kindergarten last week. She had so much to tell me!!! I can't wait to see them again.
I am staying up past my bedtime tonight. I want to sleep all the way to Biloxi. My husband has a habit of playing his "KC and the Sunshine Band" cd on long car trips...oooo boy, I hope I fall asleep fast!!

Hi my dear sisters. Once again I am requesting prayers, we have "another" hurricane coming our way, the same one who missed us made a U turn and is coming back to Fla, we are all stressed out 4 hurricanes in 5 weeks, I have my shutters up, have water, can goods, dog and cat food, and we are supposed to start feeling the effects by tomorrow around 4:30pm, I know that God listens to all of us Angel moms, and here in Fla we need all the help we can get. The words above was sent to me in an email by my friend and classmate: The Reverend LaVert H. Taylor of Lexington, VA shortly after he learned my daughter had been killed in a tragic chain reaction crash which involved 2 cars, 2 pickup trucks, and drunk driving. I received this email shortly before Christmas, [1999], at a time when I was feeling I could not deal with the pain any longer! I had felt this way many times before, but this time, ... It was a turning point. I still don't know why. I suspect that it was because it was time for the healing of my shattered heart, spirit, and faith to begin. I was deeply touched by the words of this grief counselor. However, I was even more inspired by words he didn't say. Words that were revealed by God. Words spoken to my inner spirit, which said, ... "I am deeply sorry about your loss. I wish I could take away your pain. I cannot do that, but I wish I could! Oh, how I wish I could! Although I can't take away your pain, I am willing to share your pain if you will allow me to! I know that as the holidays approach, this has to be a most difficult time for you. I am sending you this email, to remind you that you are not alone, and that others really do care, even if they don't have the words to express it! I care deeply! And, so does God!"

Marci, A late happy birthday to you! I wish I could keep up with all the special days like our Chief Angel Mom, Sandy. :) Thanks also for posting such beautiful prayers, scriptures & also the link to GriefShare. There are so many wonderful resources out there to help us on our grief journey. Praying that you are experiencing longer periods of peace which only our Lord and Savior can provide. As I said above, ... He knows, and He cares deeply!

Susan, ~ Praying for longer moments of peace for you, too! Your humor about your hubby's music made me laugh! Ha-ha! Boy, do I understand! Hee-hee! Only, with my hubby, it's the blues; BB King, etc. And, he makes sure he has the volume up so I can hear! Ha-ha! I can imagine the joy you feel being able to spend time with your son, Chris and family. Your little grandcuties sound so precious! I agree, even if it's a short visit, it is well worth it. Praying that you have a safe and enjoyable trip there and back.

Hi our dear Lisa,
You know our thoughts, love and prayers are with you today, on Aaron's 2nd Anniversary. Hm, a 2nd year Anniversary isn't much different from the 1st, the pain and longing are still so much there. In some way's it can be more painful, the reality of it has begun to set in.
I know you were having a special Remembrance today for Aaron at your Church, I pray that brought you some comfort, especially being around those who did know your precious Aaron. I hope you were able to remember some good memories, the special moments we all hold so dear to our hearts.
