For those with chronic diseases and illnesses
Chronic Diseases Prayer Circle

This circle is for all who suffer with chronic diseases and disorders and in need of prayer and support from others.

There are many who are afflicted with chronic diseases such as lupus, MS, fibromylagia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and others, or may have children or other family members and friends who suffer with these conditions. The prayer circle can be here for the many ups and downs that come with these illnesses, as well as the tests that most have to go through when having a flare or time of activity in their symptoms. This can be a place to come for prayers when support is needed and also to give thanks and praise to God for remissions and times that we feel well.

I just discovered this site and pray that you will listen and include me in your prayers. I suffer from clinical depression and cronic back pain. I realize that these illnesses may seem minor to many of you and, in comparison to others, they probably are minor; but, clinical depression is a disease --- biological in many instances. I am currently on medication and am "ok" but I do need your prayers. I know that the God can heal all and I pray for his healing touch in my life. I also pray for all of those in this prayer circle and ask for healing and comfort IN JESUS NAME. AMEN

Unhappy sick person! Do not be anxious, have patience! Your illness is not a malady for you; it is a sort of cure. For life departs like capital. If it yields no fruits, it is wasted. And if it passes in ease and heedlessness, it passes most swiftly. Illness makes that capital of yours yield huge profits. Moreover, it does not allow your life to pass quickly, it restrains it and lengthens it, so that it will depart after yielding its fruits. An indication that your life is lengthened through illness is the following much repeated proverb: “The times of calamity are long, the times of happiness, most short.”
O ill person who lacks patience! Be patient, indeed, offer thanks! Your illness may transform each of the minutes of your life into the equivalent of an hour’s worship. For worship is of two kinds. One is positive like the well-known worship of supplication and the five daily prayers. The other are negative forms of worship like illness and calamities. By means of these, those afflicted realize their impotence and weakness; they beseech their All-Compassionate Creator and take refuge in Him; they manifest worship which is sincere and without hyprocrisy. Yes, there is a sound narration stating that a life passed in illness is counted as worship for the believer—on condition he does not complain about God. It is even established by sound narrations and by those who uncover the realities of creation that one minute’s illness of some who are completely patient and thankful becomes the equivalent of an hour’s worship and a minute’s illness of certain perfected men the equivalent of a day’s worship. Thus, you should not complain about an illness which as though transforms one minute of your life into a thousand minutes and gains for you long life; you should rather offer thanks.pls feel free to e mail me

I am asking for prayers for my niece who has just been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. This is her last year in High School and she is trying very hard to get a Volleyball Scholarship so she can go to college as financially her family is not able to afford the expense of a college tuition. She has worked since the 4th grade to be a fantastic volleyball player and has succeeded so far playing senior volleyball since her freshmen year. Now she has been strickened with this disease. She is the second victim in our family with Lupus. I have another neice who has just succeeded in a Kidney Transplant and is doing wonderful. We almost lost her twice but with prayers and strong family support, the Lord has blessed her with a great recovery. Mahalo nui loa ke Akua! Thank you Lord for your blessings. My Father in Heaven I ask for more blessings on this family, to help my neice Pua be strong, and patient; to know that you are at her side at all times. Please comfort her at those times when she feels
discouraged or in so much pain; please comfort her and let her know that you are not a punishing God, and that this is not a set-back but a test on her love and faith for you, Lord. You will not forsake her. I pray for my sister, Anna that you give her strength and guidance to help her daughter through this time. Mother Mary I ask that you protect and guide this family from anymore heartaches, that my sister will get a good paying job to support her family. She is a single parent. Thank you Lord for finding her a new home and a new job. Please help her get transportation for Pua who needs to commute by public transportation (2 hours to school and back everyday). Oh Holy Ghost, please shine your light on this family. God you have been so good to us and have shown that you are always at our side by the many blessings you have bestowed on us. So GREAT are you Lord that We praise and glorify your name! Jesuw!Jesus!Jesus!
Send your angels to watchover her Lord. She has a great attitude, and is very respectful towards others. I pray that she will continue to have a great attitude and respect; that she will continue to love and honor her mom, and that she will continue to succeed with her goals. In God's name I pray...No ka mea, no ke aupuni,a me ka mana, a me ka ho'onani 'ia a mau loa aku, AMENE.

Qadri 6 yrs has Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. A rare and incurable lung disease. Our faith has brought us through thus far. Please pray for the researchers and doctors that battle this disease (High Blood Pressure in the lungs), that they find a cure.

10/1/2001 20:07

My prayers goes to all the sick and shut in. I pray that God have mercy on all of you. I include my father in this prayer as well, he has been beridden for 3 years and a half, and I pray for peace in his spirit and soul. God knows what best and I pray for inner strength, as his body begin to break down. I thank you God, for him being my father and he's in Your hands, and I know that "all is well, in his soul".

10/2/2001 15:43

I praise and thank God for being able to return to the Circle after such a long time of pain and sickness. I have thought about all of you and have prayed for your needs, but was unable to come here because of being too ill, and also my computer fried and I could not replace it until just recently.

I had another series of nerve blocks in my spine which seemed to do nothing at all to relieve the pain. The doctor changed my medication, and that did not appear to be of any help either. I was so very discouraged, but about a week ago I noticed that the level of pain had deceased somewhat and I was able to stand up and walk a little - I had been in the wheelchair almost constantly for the last few months. I feel that God has answered the prayers that have been said for me and that while I may have some level of pain to live with, it seems as though I will be able to function better than I have. God is so good - and I have read through all the prayer requests that I have missed and am asking him to bless each and every one of you. There are really some very serious problems and situations, and many of you have so much to cope with; however, as bad as I was and discouraged, He has helped and blessed me in so many ways and I pray that we can read many praise and thanks posts here that give witness to the love and healing of God. God Bless you all, and please keep me in your prayers, as I will always be praying for all of you too.

Love & Prayers,

10/3/2001 06:38

Praise GOD,
HE's WORTHY of all the Praise. I Thank GOG for seinng your post, Dolphin. My Prayers are ever for you and with you. My sister had back surgery, Friday. They said this is her last recourse because they can't do any invasive surgery because of her Polyarteritis. It's so bad that they would be concerned about her healing. They did Laser surgery on her back. We're waiting to see the results. She, too, has been confined to her wheel chair as of late. But Praise be to GOD that you are feeling some relief even if ever so slight. I'm so happy to hear from you and I know everyone has been holding you up in Prayer. As you see the circle keeps growing and every Post is a Blessing. Every Prayer Request represents so many people who have the same problems. There is Strength in numbers. It says in the WORD, that Wherever two or more are gathered together in HIS Name, HE will be in the midst of it all! May you prosper and be in GOOD health.
Love and Prayers!

10/5/2001 21:41

Alcore: I am keeping your sister in my prayers, that she receives good results from the surgery and will be relieved of the pain and be able to walk. I surely can relate to what she has gone through, and while I am not pain free or have good mobility, I am doing much better than I was a few months ago. Let us all lift her up in prayer, and please let us know how things are going for her; and lift each other up in prayer for the sicknesses and conditions that we or our families are fighting. May God give everyone a better day and weekend and hold us all in his loving and healing hands. It is so good to see everyone who comes here for support and prayers - it is like coming to a safe haven where there are others who know our pain and share it with us. God Bless All of You -

Love & Prayers,

Dear Lord, I glorify you for all miracles and this wonderful country I live in. I pray you will be with us and
have mercy on us as you did the Jews as
they traveled through the wilderness. Perhaps this lastest War on America will
wake many up I hope. I also Dear Lord
ask you to forgive me of any sins knowing or unknowingly. Especially and
as you know I pray that you will touch
my famyilys hearts and we can become
together once again and have good times
as thats what you want for us. Father
I pray that you will touch my grandson's
head and rid him of these multiple epileptic sezures he has been having since he was 2 yrs. old. NOw he is 13.
Has MRDDand ADH and seizures. Please
God, I know if you want this child to
have freedom of his mind and to function
for you in the years ahead that you will
touch touch the Drs. hands and minds in
order to know where you guide them if he
does have surgery on his brain. With every seizure his brain desenagrates.
We hope and pray it doesn't desenagate
before the touch of your hand. And
Lord be with his parents as this is a
very trying time for them. Also with his father who also has multiple seizures. In Jesus Name--A-Men

10/8/2001 15:51

Dear Lord, I pray that you will be with all these people with chronic illnesses and comfort them. I am also asking for prayers as I have MS. I understand how confusing and frustrating it can be, but I ask you Lord to help us all to understand and to continue our faith in you. I praise you GOD and thank you for my many blessings. In JESUS name. AMEN.

10/8/2001 22:30

I am writing this today in hopes that the prayers of others will cure me or atleast alleviate my symptoms. I am 17 years old and about a year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. It's been getting worse and my biggest fear is that it will get so bad that I'll lose mobility in the future and miss out on the joys of life that I have yet to experience. I'm in a period of time where I am struggling with my faith and losing hope. I feel that I am too weak to fight my diseases and I know that this is bringing me down. I pray that the Lord gives me all the strength I need to face my problems and not give up. I also pray that He endows me with a greater faith so I can rest easy knowing that it's all in His hands. The things that I need the most right now are a better relationship with God and the emotional strength to keep on going. Please pray for me as I will pray for all of you also, because I know the pain and suffering you are going through and the hopelessness that you feel at times. Just know that the Lord blesses those who share in his suffering and that He is always with you. God bless you all.

10/9/2001 10:52

Hello ...As one living with Lupus , please pray for me and my family to stay togehter and strong ... Likewise I will pray for all who have chronic illness because ...once you have walked a mile in their shoes you do not want them to go on in pain and suffering without prayer. God Bless Us all

10/9/2001 14:41

I pray for those who are suffering.
That they may have the strength, wisdom and the faith needed at this time. To trust in our Creator and give our will to Him.

10/10/2001 00:23

When the days seem to blend and the nights never end, I seek prayer to help me mend. When no medicine can give me relief and sitting makes me cry,I seek prayer to help me try. When I am cranky and no one understands, I seek the comfort of prayer in our Lords hands. When the bills pile high and the Doctors demand pay, I seek prayer to help lead the way. When I get up and walk around, I can hear his Grace sound! "Hope lies where I can be found".

10/11/2001 12:27

Our Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for all your many blessings and I know that I have truly been blessed with family, friends, and many other needs. Most of all I thank You for sending Your Son to die for my sins. What greater Love than this? Father, I pray that You will guide me in my search for ways to live with and breathe with the disease of Chronic Obstructive Pulmany Disease (COPD). I pray that You will take away my desire to smoke the cigarettes which have caused this disease. I am weak, Lord. I have tried so many times to throw the cigs away, but I keep picking them back up. My great weakness is that I keep turning the addiction over to You, and then I take it back. Please help me to overcome this addiction. I know that all things are possible through You. I give you the praise and glory for my deliverance from this addiction. I pray that You will help others suffering from Chronic Diseases and hold them in Your Precious Arms for rest and assurance. Amen.

10/12/2001 17:46

Thank you for this wonderful site that gives families like mine hope and lets you know you are not alone. I have a 24yr old who suffered kidney failure at 9 and has had two kidney transplants. His second one is from his older sister and it has just stopped after 3 yrs. I pray for each and every family who suffers the burden of watching your loved ones in pain. May God give us the strength that we need to keep providing them with love and support. May he fill our hearts with so much love that we overflow with it. May he light our way so that we can see his light leading us to his home and his love. May he give us the courage to fight the fears we face daily and trust him always. I pray to you, oh Lord, to not abandon us and to guide us so we can be the best that we can be for you and because of you.

10/13/2001 05:22

I have asked prayer for myself before. I am suffering from some sort of chemical or neurological disorder. I have regressed in the last month or so and this did not have anything to do with the attacks on America. I need prayer from anyone that would. I have suicidal thought frequently but I don't want to die. I have a pain that is in my head......not physically so much but it feels as if I'm possessed or in hell or something. I know this can't be possible since I am a Christian but there is definately something wrong. I am on permanent disability because of it. I've had this for about 7 and 1 half years. I feel like I cannot live another second with the pain when it is upon me an when it does come, it stays for hours, days, weeks, even months sometimes. I have a wife and son and I can't be the husband and father to them that I should be in this condition. I've prayed and believed God through all of this and He has helped me, but He has not healed me of it completely for some reason. I would ask that you would pray on my behalf to take this torment away and no I am not exaggerating when I call it torment. Thank You,

10/14/2001 10:19

Anyone who has a chronic disease, have faith. No matter how dark things seem, there will be some light, sooner or later. And no matter the circumstances, God loves you. Remember this for all your days.

10/16/2001 12:02

lonely waters, don't be discouraged. I've been living with RA for four years and was recently diagnosed with Lupus. God loves you and will provide you with some very sweet times. "He prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies..." Chronic illness is definitely any enemy. I pray that the enemy does not have a victory in your life. While it affects our flesh (how we feel), it cannot control how we think. I pray you can take your thoughts captive and speak words of praise to God in the midst of your pain. I pray that He will that He will heal you.
