Shane Whalen
This Prayer Circle is Dedicated to my son Shane Whalen Who Passed Away On March 15, 1999 at the Age of 24, & All Other Children

Start a prayer circle for bereaved parents who have lost a child.

There are many of us out there who have lost a child, and it is devastating. It changes the outlook on life, plunges you into a depression, and you think that the feelings and thoughts you have nobody else could possibly relate to. I think a prayer circle for bereaved parents would only benefit us and help us on our journey of grief. This Circle is one of Love, where a Grieving Parent can safely come to for Prayers, and to talk about their feelings.

Hi my dear sister Verna. it is truly a very nice news, can you imagine? Diane's picture sooooo big, please take a picture and share it with us. My dear sister, like I told you before, go and spend some time on those nickel machines, and get yourself a new comp, you will be surprise how many offers are out there, I remember that I paid $2,500 for my first computer(installment pay) can you imagine what a terrific computer will I have now for that price?. Well Miss V. I wish I could go to the nickels machines but it is not allowed in Fla, only the Missosukees indian reservation have a casino about 40 minutes from Miami. Love you my dear sister, keep on trying, I have AOL and its not giving me problems, so please tell James "we need a new computer" How is my grandson? Love Selva

Hey my sisters! ~ Ha-ha! How about my quick click to submit my last post BEFORE being cut off! :) Am I getting good or what? Ha-ha!

Selva, ... I agree with you, It's time to invest in a new PC. Right now, it's 3 against 1, but I think I'm about to win! :) Hubby, who doesn't know dada about computers thinks that as long as this one is working at all, I should wait. James is sure he can repair it, & Cheryl is saying, "Mama, just be patient and let James try!" And I am saying ... I've had it! [Ha-ha!] I think I'll stay away from the nickel machines for a while & apply those coins to a new PC! Right Sandy? Ha-ha! 'Cause only the house has been winning lately.:(

Hey Sue! How about all of this sunshine we've been getting! Sure hope you've been enjoying your days as much as I have. I know it's been super hot, but I still enjoy the sunshine more than the rain.

Hi Marci, ~ Just want you to know that our prayers are still going up for you and family and also the victims and their families. May God continue to give all of you the strength to weather this tremendous storm.

Hey Sou, ~ Good to see a post from you! Sure hope you and hubby are having a ball! Drop in again when you can.

Ok Lisa, Deb, & Eva; It's time to check in and let us know you're pressing on! :)

Hi Sharon, ~ Good to see a post from you again also. Still praying for you and family during your most recent loss. God bless you for being there with words of compassion & love.

Sandy, just want you to know how much it still means to me to be able to come here during the good times and the bad. Like the other angel moms, I thank God daily for you and our circle of angel moms!

May God grant each of you those precious moments of peace and compassion for which we all pray!
Much love & Hugs from heaven,
Verna

Oh yes, Selva, your grandson is doing fine. :) They had youth night at church Tuesday and it was really a fun night. On youth night, the pastor's son delivers the message. They also had a youth group from Tennessee to perform and the praise dancers from their church. We adults sat in back while all the youth sat/stood up front. :) Of course, it seemed more like a concert with the blinking lights and all. But all the songs were spiritual and inspirational. Once grandson came out to the car to escort me to where his mom and dad were seated, he disappeared up front with the rest of the kids! Ha-ha! Cheryl kept reassuring me, "Mama, he's a big boy now, ... He'll be OK!" Ha-ha! I tell you, time sure flies!
I'll let you know when I hear from Baton Rouge about Diane's photo. She didn't say when, but I sure hope it's soon!
Much love,
Verna

Hello all my dear sisters

Our dear sister Selva need's our prayers, she would never ask for them herself, but I am. She went to see her Enocrinologist and he is not convinced that the Biopsy result's have been correctly read, he is of the opinion that they could be pre-cancerous or even caner cell's, so he's sending her (yes, again) for more testing. This is certainly an emotional rollercoaster for her to be on, this is her 3rd time with Dr.'s saying "no they're not", "yes they are" and yet again, this Dr. not certain either. Let's all pray that the Holy Spirit guide's this Dr. to the truth and for our dear sister herself, who has gone and is still going through so much. We love you our dear sister and I know we'll all be praying for you,

Lots of love, Hugs, prayers to you and everyone here,
Sandy

Hello Mrs.Verna, While surfing on the net,I thought about you and I tried to send you an instant message. I was unable to get through, then it came to me that I could find you on Beliefnet. Then I thought for a moment about how Beliefnet has become a very important part of your life. So Cheryl & I talk about how we want to be a part of those things that are important to you so we decided to post to you and we laugh because we new that this was a sure way to be curtain that you would get the message. We are excited about the bill board of Diane, our prayer are that we all will get a chance to see it. We were bless to read that you enjoyed the youth service, We talked about how you enjoyed it today at church. Want you to know that we are mindful of you and you are daily in our prayers Love James & Cheryl

Well, Helloooooo my Rues! [James and Cheryl] Ha-ha! What a pleasant surprise! Welcome to our circle of love. Yup, you know you can always get in touch with Yo mama here. :) Yes, I did so enjoy the youth service the other night. I told papaw he really missed it, but as you know, he was not feeling well, so couldn't join us. But he smiled proudly when I told him how grownup our grandson was. I sincerely enjoyed watching those talented youngsters making a joyful noise unto the Lord, the fun and laughter of trying to figure out the words of the 'rap' spirituals, and being able to see on the big screen monitors what I couldn't see directly because of the tremendous crowd. :) And, I still think grandson and their drill team need to be on Oprah! Ha-ha! And, you can tell their instructor AND Dr. Layton that I said so, and that I am not just saying that because my grandson is on the team! Ha-ha! Hey James, so far, so good tonight. A few popups, but I am still online. Sometimes, I think AOL just gets tired of me being online 24/7. :) Anyway, thanks again for keeping tabs on both me and my 'computer woes', and last but not least, for your thoughtfulness, & keeping me & papaw in your prayers daily. He's not gonna admit it, but he is really having a time with gout. :( Also, my Rues, please join us in praying for our dear Selva, [your son's Cuban-American grandma] :) And as always, please give him a big hug from both of us! :)
Much love & hugs,
Mama

Dear Angel Mom's and Dad's

My heart is breaking reading of all the pain you are all enduring...

I had to take a hiatus from everything to do some internal healing from the triple suicides in my family...

Just got thru my bro's 4th anniversary July 10 and did not cry or get upset...just knew it was his day...Praise God for healing!!!

My girlfriend and I went for a bike ride June 24 and her knee flared up with bursitis...it has had 2 previous surgeries...so I have been nursing her for the past 3 weeks at home since I have all the equipment she needs...wheelchair, shower rails and shower stool and all that stuff...

She is walking using a walker now and sees the surgeon on the 26 of July...we hope no surgery is necessary...

Her name is Deborah and she is a dear. During her convalenscence, we made a page for her dear mom who passed away from cancer 4 years ago...I know Deborah would be pleased if you visit it for her and her mom Victoria...

My Mom Victoria

Caring for Deborah 24/7 and getting up in the middle of the night for meds and toilet really took my mind off myself and I found life again and laughter...

Deborah and I are planning a Visiting Ministry together....We will pack a picnic basket and a teddy bear and visit the sick sisters in our church and community...since we both have been sick and endured many surgeries each, we both know what sick people need and want...nobody came to us so we will start it and that's how dreams are made from our own experiences...

Our first visit is to a dear friend who is extremely suicidal right now and has been in and out of the hospital and they will not keep her in there b/c they don't have beds available....

She has attempted so we know we need to help her...she came to my house unannounced one day and just flung herself into my arms as I opened the door...she cried on my shoulder for a good time, then we had herbal tea and listened to her and then I put her in my bed and tucked her in with my teddy so she could get a good sleep...then we ate and she went home feeling somewhat better b/c she knows I know what it's like to feel that way...

I feel that God told her to come to my place and that God told me she needed me...and being needed is the key to my survival...

so I had Deborah on one couch and Trisha on another couch and I felt very humbled to be helping these dear ones....we prayed and I read the Bible out loud to them and it was a very wonderful day...

Deborah is now in her apt again and I am able to get on pc now so I do apologize for not being here but I was needed elsewhere.

Miss V!!! I am so proud of you and Diane and I hope you will send me a pic of Diane on the billboard so I can put it up for you on her page....

Marci, I am so proud of you for helping and PERSISTING IN THE SEARCH when the authorities deemed it un-do-able...proud of you for doing CPR and for acting quickly on the scene...only you knew what it was like for Matthew's mom...So very sad...I'm sooo sorry Marci...

Selva, you are a dear one too...as are you all...

Sandy glad to hear of your new little birdie...I am thinking of getting one too...

Brother Angelo left me a phone message yesterday...he was on the road and he asked me to mention his love to all of you angel mom's.

Miss V!!! You don't have to spend $2000 on a laptop...they are not as good as a CPU...you can get a used CPU for $300 and have a great system...wish I was there to find one for you...please do not shell out that much moola for a laptop...

Will be back...

Lots of Love,
Angela xoxo

Hi Angela, for sure we will storm Heaven for you, Deborah and your friend, it is so sad, you know that sometime in our life after our loss, we have contemplated suicide (I had) but we have to be strong in our Faith, and only God decides when our time is Up.We have to keep on living no matter how hard it is, it is our mission that we chose before coming to this Earth, so we can not quit, we have to learn our lessons needed and then, Yes the Glory, we will all be together in Heaven, but we have to pay the price, after all, we chose the price. You and your friends have my 24/7 prayers. Love Selva

My dear sister. I have a favor to ask. Could you please join me in prayers for Don, Solange's organ donor recipient, the only one who tried and we succefully got in touch with each other, and he said Thank You Solange. He was a diabetic since 12 years old, now 51, for the first time in his life he enjoyed life for the last 23 months, he was on dialysis every day, but I don't know why his diabetis since to hount him, he got a bruise in his toe, and to make the story short, he is in the hospital, they had to amputate his toe, and now they are waiting until next friday to see if the infections goes down, otherwise they will have to amputate some more. Please my dear sisters, pray for Don so he can have his life back again, he is a wonderful human being, I am sure that is why Solange chose him to have a good life again, please, please, pray for him to be OK, I know that God listens to our prayers. I thank you all. Love Selva

Hello Prayer Moms thank you for taking such good care of our Mom! And Thank You _All_ for your encouagement and prayers!
*** Miss V,****
We love you so much!!!! James says he located a guy that updated his desktop for $230.00 he put new memory, new hard-drive, and put a faster opertating system. Now his computer has the ability to do what a $2000.00 unit would do. He said he had to check him out first to make sure he was creditable and he will find out how much it will cost to update my Mom's hard-drive and put her a new system with more space than she can load-down or use(ha!) Then I will contact you and we can go from there!
Now, for some good news we signed more paperwork today on our new house! We are very excited!
*** We are praying for Selva!**** That God's hedge of protection will surround her, that no sickness or disease can come near her body, and that NO WEAPON that is formed against her shall in any way prosper!
