Hi our dear Susan, out of all the Poem's that I could have posted for Father's Day, I can see that God led me to post that one, (Happy Father's Day Father!) what a neat and touching gift it's going to make for your dear hubby today! Gosh yes, I can see how that would bother him, people DO have this false perception that men, Dads, don't hurt as much as their wive's, but they hurt just as much, some just show it differently or deal with it differently, but they HURT! As our dear Miss V said, those are wonderful word's and advice you gave to your hubby to deal with those people who forget him, it'll make them realize that he's hurting along with you.
If they haven't removed that tree yet from Alex's grave, they just might do it on Monday when Momma call's them - you go girl!

Hi my dear sisters. I did some "punching bag" this weekend and I let it out, although my hands are hurting bad, but for a good cause, I recomend it to everyone, I had my brother put a punching bag in the yard, and he got me gloves and all, so whenever I get this angry I go out there and punch , punch and punch, (I am sure my neighbors are scared of me by now, ha ha ), but it does help. Hello my dear sisters, ~ Sorry to be offline for what seems like forever. My old computer is getting slower and slower, so I am thinking about investing in a laptop soon. My son-in-law keeps telling me that it's a lot cheaper than retuning the two I have, [Windows 95 & 98.] :) And, being a penny pincher, I keep telling him & my daughter, Cheryl, the one I use online is going to have to explode before I give up and invest in another one. :) But I may have to soon. :(

Hey, Selva! Now, that is the Selva we all know! Ha-ha! I just read your post above. You have a way of making me laugh on a cloudy or valley day! Of course we understand when you are venting, or having a deep valley day! Remember, ... We all do! It broke my heart to read that awful news too! I even said a curse word when I signed on and learned what had happened. :( I had prayed so hard for his protection, just as I know thousands of people did, including you and all our angel moms. And, when he was not spared by his evil captors, I was both angry and disappointed, and I was even tempted to ask that age old question: "Why!" Those of us who know the pain of losing a loved one can't help becoming very emotional when bad things happen to good people; especially when we feel it could have been prevented & that hate was involved. :( The bible teaches that we should love one another, and that we should do good to those who do all manner of evil against us and pray for them. But when we are bombarded with the existence of so much evil and hate in what I believe are the last days, ... It is very difficult to not become angry because of the evil things that are done in our world on a daily basis. So venting is just one of the ways in which we try to cope; to deal with the sadness, the hopelessness we can't help but feel inside. If anyone understand this, we angel moms do! So remember that it is OK for you to feel and express your sadness when human beings keep hurting each other. We all want to live in a peaceful world where people do onto others as they would have others do unto them. The human race has come a long way, but we still have a long way to go. :( So, once we have vented and prayed, we turn it over to God; then try to live in way that we let our lights shine, so that others will see Christ is us; Thus, glorifying our Father, God. So, like Sandy, I knew that you were letting out your pain and sadness for the victim and his entire family! We all did in some manner... So don't be too hard on yourself. Remember, we are all human, and God understands because He knows our hearts. And, we angel moms all know what a big loving and caring heart you have! I am still laughing about your comment about your neighbors watching you punch that punching bag! Ha-ha! But I can imagine it does help to let go of some of the anger. I would love to try that, but my wrist are already in bad shape, so I just have an outburst, [God forgive me], and then, ... I shed tears of sadness!!! We will keep this family, and all who grieve the loss of a precious and beloved love one in our love and prayers!

Dear Wintermuse, I am very sorry to read about the loss of this precious two year old. It is always so very difficult when bad things happen to the little ones whose life was just beginning. I pray that God will wrap this entire family in His love and care, and give them the strength they will need so desperately in the days, weeks, & months ahead. I pray that they will receive the support of family and friends now, and in the days ahead. God bless you for submitting a prayer request for this family. Hey dear Sandy, ~ Thanks for your kind words about the poem I wrote for our angel dads. As you can guess, I was having a valley day because hubby was showing signs of missing our beloved daughter, Diane. He doesn't talk much, but I sensed his sadness. Every Father's Day, he pulls out the poem that Diane had me type up to give to him on the last Father's Day they spent together. :) I had it framed for him, and I also shared the one you posted here for all angel dads. He really liked the one you posted and agreed with the words of the author. I made a copy of both poems, and he filed them in his folder. Unlike his wife, he keeps up with everything, and can always put his hands on whatever he is looking for. He also makes sure I replace any of his "stuff" I mess with! ha-ha! Maybe I'll learn to do the same someday. Sure saves a lot of stress! :)

Would Ya believe that we have 4 days of rain predicted for this week? :) Today, however, it was a beautiful day filled with lots of sunshine.

Hello Everyone,

I just heard that Mattie Stepanik passed away today, due to complication's from his muscular dystrophy.
In his young life, he's touched million's with his book's, especially "Heartsongs" and his indomitable spirit and faith in God. He truly was a gift from God to those who read his writing's, heard his word's and saw his sweet smiling face.
Larry King Live tonight is doing a special on him. He was truly a wise soul living in a young body. His mother must be devastated, there was only she and him left, and she too has muscular dystrophy.
Thank you Mattie for all the beautiful gift's you gave and left us, and we'll remember your Mom in our prayers.

Oh Gosh, Sandy, ~ I just signed on to copy/paste a prayer for the family of Kim Sun-il, and saw your post above. It breaks my heart to read of Mattie's passing. Yes, he was a very brave and inspiring earth angel who touched the lives and hearts of so many. I join you and others all over the world in prayer for Mattie's Mom. I pray that God will bless and keep her in His loving care! And may she find a measure of peace in knowing that her beloved son will always be remembered and loved. In Jesus' name, Amen

Dear God in heaven, ~ I pray for the family of Kim Sun-il. Please console their hearts and give them the strength to survive this horrific loss of their beloved Kim Sun-il. Console them as only You can. Help them to realize that as Kim Sun-il's journey here on earth ends, his heavenly journey begins. Give them the peace of knowing that they will embrace him again someday, and live in an atmosphere of peace, joy, and love, ... Forever.

God, I pray that You will continue to send the messenger to take the hate out of the hearts of all human beings who are obsessed with such evil spirits which causes them to steal, kill and destroy, with seemingly no respect or compassion for human life; showing no remorse whatsoever.

Finally, Father, I pray for the leaders of the world to desire, and promote peace on earth. Help us to realize that we will never experience peace on earth without faith, hope, love, & Your divine intervention; for we cannot do it alone. In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray this heartfelt prayer. Amen

Hi dear Miss V, thank's for posting that Poem of Mattie's, we would all do well to pray the same, he was definitely wise beyond his years and he can teach us Adult's a thing or two. He understood that we are all children of God, on Larry King last night he read one of his Poem's about God, called "I Am". I'd highly recommend everyone to read it. Also a poem about Heaven - I hope he's enjoying it as he thought it to be :-) Thank you Mattie for lighting up this sometime's dark World of our's. May we take the lesson's you left us and apply them to ourselves.
Yes, I join you in prayer for the family of Kim-Sun-il, who only wanted to be a Peacemaker as well.

Hey all Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how the funeral for Zion went. I was one of the first people there, and when I walked in, the casket was open. It was supposed to be a closed casket funeral, which is why I didn't go to the viewing. I wanted to rememeber Zion the way he was, the night before he died. So I went out for a while to try to compose myself. Soon, more people came and they closed the casket. The service was beautiful. My cousin Cheryl sang several songs. The pastor, who is a friend of the family, held a great service. During this time he talked about how the Bible tells us that babies are safe in the arms of God, because they have not rejected God, and more evidence from the bible that proves this is true. He then went on to say that if we want to see Zion again, our lives must be reflective of Jesus Christ. He talked about how Zion's purpose in life was to touch our lives, and to bring people to the church to learn how to go to heaven, and how to live our lives each day. He was soooo good. It was one of the best sermons I have ever heard. Then friends and family went up and spoke about how Zion touched their lives.
Then they opened the casket and we all passed by to say goodbye. Zion didn't look so much like himself, which is good, because if he would have looked exactly like himself, I think I would have been even more sad. It is just more proof to me that Zion's spirit has left his body, and it gave me peace. Then I hugged and kissed Lo-Khem and Cathy and told them I loved them.

At the cemetary, the pastor said a few more words, then there was a huge balloon with little baby ballons inside. Cathy and Lo-Khem popped the big balloon, and all of the pink and blue baby balloons flew toward heaven. It was beautiful.

Hi CSNUGGS, Thanks for sharin about Zion's funeral, remember this, when we are born to this Earth, we cry, do you know why? because we are been born into a diferrent world, well Zion laughed, because he was borned into Heaven, we don't understand, but yes He is with Our Lord and hapiness is all around. I am going through rough valley days, Solange's 22 month, Ay my dear sister, As honest as I am, I was going to swim at the pool today 93 and problaby more today, when I went out, this little bird fell out of a tree, the blue marlins it is Fla bird, he was all sick and dying, when I told my sister,she tried to put it above our swing, you had to hear the mother's cry, I could not take it, I went back home and my poor sister, she does not understand the pain of that little bird, see, people does not understand our pain, only us, my sister and brother loves me very much, but they do not understand. Hi CSNUGGS, yes, thank's so much for posting back and sharing little Zion's funeral with us all. It truly sound's like a very beautiful one, a wonderful, comforting Sermon from the Pastor, people sharing how Zion affected their live's, and then Cathy and Lo-kem bursting the big balloon, releasing all those little pink and blue one's, that rose to Heaven for little Zion. Your cousin Cheryl singing beautiful song's, it was truly a family event, touching for Cathy and Lo-kem and all.
Little Zion is now resting in our dear Lord's arms, we pray for Our Lord's comfort and strength for Cathy and Lo-kem, in their grieving, and for you and all the family,

Hi my dear sister, aw, the poor little bird, I understand how that would bother you, of course it would remind you of yourself, and the love a Mother has for a child, hearing the Mother Bird's crying was something very personal to you, it touched your heart and brought up pain, knowing how a Mother feel's, human and bird. Of course Nancy and Gus love you, and you love them, but no, they wouldn't understand through no fault of their own, how that affected you so much and brought up more pain for you, God love you. Any of us would have felt the same way, we can all relate to that Mother bird and losing her baby.
I hope you were able to have a good cry and be able to put it out of your mind and have a peaceful sleep with wonderful dreams. Love you my sister and lot's of Tender Hugs too,

Hello Everyone, ~ Just a short note to let you know that I am OK. Can't wait to be able to post a rambler again, but for now, it will have to wait; Doctor's orders. :( I had my first OT test & treatment this past Tuesday, and after the tests were done, the therapist outfitted me with two wrist braces. I go back in 4 weeks & hopefully, if I am good, my wrist will have healed enough for me to post one of my ramblers! :) For a while, however, I will try to keep them short. I will start working on short post to tomorrow. In the meantime, I will try to give you a broader view of all that's going on with family & me by copy/paste email responses between me and my Rue. :) As always, you & family are in my heartfelt prayers, and I know family & I are in yours!

I pray everyone is well. We have ended a bad couple of weeks; with the senseless murders of the innocent men overseas and of course the death of everyone's "Heartsong", Mattie. What a remarkable young boy. His gift of reaching straight to our hearts and minds through his writings was God-sent! I pray his mother finds comfort and peace.
Selva I hope you are feeling better. I had a few valley days myself this week. It doesn't help when you can't even remember the last day you saw sunshine. We are a soggy mess here. Do you like Marc Anthony?? I just got his new cd and it is just wonderful! I have to say I have all of his cds and I love the ones he recorded in Spanish more than the English ones. His songs are so full of emotion.
Miss Verna, I hope this weather hasn't added to the wrist pain you've been having. My joints are killing me; my husband says it's arthritis, but he is wrong. I'm WAY too young for arthritis; it must be "growing pains" :D
