Renee Peterson
My Cousin Needs a Liver Transplant

My cousin is in need of a liver transplant and may also need a kidney transplant.

My cousin, Renee, is like an older sister to me. She is 47 years old and is currently in ICU waiting on a liver donor. Her kidneys are shutting down and she was sedated and put on a respirator yesterday in order to give her lungs a chance as they are beginning to fill with fluid. My cousin has always been a selfless person, giving to all of us in the family without any qualms or questions. As our moms and aunts get older, she has taken up the role of the matriarch and we need her. I would ask that prayers be said to help my cousin be healthy enough to accept a liver when it is found. I would also ask that prayers be said for her husband, Terry, who has been by her side for the last 18 years as she has struggled through all of her medical issues.
