Heavenly Father,
I come to you to ask to help my friends life. He's in need of guidance to show him the path, the direction of life. I ask Lord to Love him and please Lord forgive him, of all that he has done. I know you will be there , but i want you to show him how it's really done. He's using up his life in a negitive way Lord i NEED you to show him the powerful way. And that you'll always be there for him.

Dear Father in Heaven, I ask Your mercy and love for my son who is having a difficult believing in himself and who does not yet recognize that his struggle is mostly with an alcohol addiction. He does not yet realize the hold it has on him and thinks he can handle it himself. Please, Father, give him the wisdom and strength to find his way through this with Your help. My love for him is so very pure and strong but I cannot do this for him so I beg Your intercession for him. I also ask the intercession of Blessed Solanus Casey who is known to be a humble and loving soul and through whom many miracles have been noted. This I ask in Jesus' name. Amen

God the Father we come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. For Jesus stated: "I am the way, the truth, and the life."
I pray that your perfect will be done in the lives of all that are in this prayer circle. And if it is your will, that they and their families will be blessed with your healing power and be able to "Recover" from their addictions. Amen

Good Father of mercy, we ask a prayer for our fellow travelers in this world who are suffering from any and all types of addictions...we plead, we beg for your everlasting touch of healing and completeness. Please bless us and keep us close to you by faith and with understanding make us whole again. We ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.

Dear Lord, the pain of loss in the physical world can hurt so much that we ourselves turn to unhealthy ways of blotting out that pain. Please help us grieve in healthy ways, praying only for the knowledge of your will for us an the power to carry that out. May Tommy rest in peace, as he surely is. May his spirit continue to grow in grace and love and helpfulness to those he's left behind. ICN. Amen

dear lord, i dont want to stop. sometimes i dont care to. but people say i need to. im tired. i cant deal with much and its going on too long now. i know that you knock on my door in more ways than i have seen in a lifetime it seems, and all i ask is strenght and release from this need. bless all who have lifted family firends

i also wnt to bring dan up here cause dan is young younger than me and hasa wife and kids and hes doing drugs and is addicted. i bring you this family lord to hold them and open up dans eyes as well father to realize he needs help.

Dear lord-i pray for all that suffer from the bondage of addiction especially my husband james,may the addicted realize that that they can only truely be free with you..in jesus name amen

Please pray, too, for hope and comfort for all the parents and families of addicts. Our suffering and heartache is very great as we grieve over being so helpless to offer anything that will help our dear ones who live in the hell of addiction. Pray that we will remain strong and that God will grant us the insight we need to be good support for those who depend on us.

Lord Jesus bless tommy's family with peace...Send them a sign letting them know that Tommy is with you...Jesus I come to you asking you with all the love you've placed in me to bind addiction and illegal drug selling. and loose deliverence of this evil demonic force taking our family members and friends. I ask that you Jesus step in and put your foot on the enemies' neck and cast this evilness of addiction back where it came from...I come in agreement with my sisters and brothers here asking you to stop this terrible problem of drugs...You Jesus can do all things bind this drug problem up in Brewton and loose job opportunity in this place. please g-d help Brandon. Keep him strong and help him to overcome his addiction,and if not please don't stop watching over him.

Jesus I ask you to help all those addicted to Heroin. My Lisa was murdered 4 years ago on her 25th birthday. She struggled with her addiction for seven years. I am thankful to her for the many lessons she has taught me. And especially for the decision to have her child, who I now raise. I miss Lisa so very much as I know you all miss your love ones too. Watching an addict is like seeing them die over and over again. I always believed Lisa would have made it. Here is a wish list that I sent to my family after Lisa's death.

A Bereaved Parent's Wish LIst
1. I wish my child hadn't died. I wish I had her back.

2. I wish you wouldn't be afraid to speak my child's name. My child lived and was very important to me. I need to hear that she was important to you also.

2. If I cry and get emotional when you talk about my child I wish you knew that it isn't because you have hurt me. My childs death is the cause of my tears. You have talked about my child, and you have allowed me to share my grief. I thank you for both.

4. I wish you wouldn't "kill" my child again by removing her pctures, artwork, or other remembrances from your home.

5. Being a bereaved parent is not contagious, so I wish you wouldn't shy away from me. I need you now more than ever.

6. I need diversions, so I do want to hear about you; but I also want you to hear about me. I might be sad and I might cry, but I wish you would let me talk about my child, my favorite topic of the day.

7. I know that you think of and pray for me often. I also know that my child's death pains you too. I wish you would let me know those things through a phone call, a card or note, or a real big hug.

8. I wish you wouldn't expect my grief to be over in six months. These first months are traumatic for me, but I wish you could understand that my grief will never be over. I will suffer the death of my child until the day I die.

9. I am working very hard in my recovery, but I wish you could understand that I will never fully recover. I will always miss my child, and I will always grieve that she is dead.

10. I wish you wouldn't expect me "not to think about it" or to "be happy". Neither will happen for a very long time, so don't frustrate yourself.

11. I don't want to have a "pity party," But I do wish you would let me grieve. I must hurt before I can heal.

12. I wish you understood how my life has been shattered. I know it is miserable for you to be around me when I'm feeling miserable. Please be patient with me as I am with you.

13. When I say, "I'm doing okay, " I wish you could undestand that I don't "feel" okay and that I struggle daily.

14. I wish you knew that all of the grief reactions I'm having are very normal. Depression, anger, hopelessness and overwhelming sadness are all to be expected. So please excuse me when I'm quiet and withdrawn or irritable and cranky.

15. Your advice to "take one day at a time' is excellent advice. However, a day is too much and too fast for me right now. I wish you could understand that I'm doing good to handle an hour at a time.

16. Please excuse me if I seem rude, certainly not my intent. Sometimes the world around me goes too fast and I need to get off. When I walk away, I wish you would let me find a quiet plact to spend time alone.

I know this is long, but hopefully it will help someone. Nothing is worse than seeing your child hurt from the disease of addiction, and knowing there is nothing you can do, but pray! God grant of serenity. I pray for all of those addicted and know how hard the cycle is to break. NEVER GIVE UP!!

MY CHILD IS SITTING IN JAIL FOR THE 4TH TIME AND IS VERY ADDICT TO COC. AND AS HIS MOTHER I AM DOING SELF-HELF FOR THREE YEARS AND HAS HELP ME MORE THEN MY CHILD THE PROGRAM IS WONDERFUL AND I WOULD BE TOTALLY ILL WITHOUT IT AND I PRAY FOR MY FAMILY AND FOR HIM AND THOSE STILL ON THE STREETS.

God bless Tommy's family and friends. I too have suffered with the disease of addiction and you, Father have set me free. It is our job and responsibility Lord to get the message out to those still sick and suffering. Tommy's family and friends, please turn to the Lord, who can give you a peace beyond all understanding. It is in His Holy and precious Son, Jesus' name that we pray, Amen and Amen

My prayers go out to all the people listed on this board.may God bless and comfort your families in your time of need.Please help me pray for my friend jason.he also has a drug addicition.I pray for him and his family everyday.I hope that God will open his eyes and heal him before its to late.I claim his soul in Jesus Holy name knowing all thing are possible through Christ!!!!

Father God in Heaven, I pray right now for everyone who is struggling with a spirit of addiction of any kind. Lord, we so often overlook or are deceived by this spirit. People face addictions to drugs, but also to cigarettes, overeating, caffeine, drama, whatever. So often people are bound and feel unable to lay down things that we don't need, things that are not helping us in our walk with You, things that are not helping us to treat our bodies as temples. Lord, I pray that you will reveal in all of us the things that we cling to, the things that are not good for us and to help us remove these things from our lives. I speak strength and boldness to step out on faith, knowing that no cigarette, no lottery ticket, no hard drug, no marijuana, no substance is going to solve whatever we feel we're struggling with, and taking one more move toward it is not the answer. I pray the spirit of peace upon all who are struggling against addictions, and I ask that all doors of assistance be open to them--access to inpatient or outpatient recovery programs, counseling, prayer ministries, and anything that will truly help them move from being bound to being FREE! We will be mindful to give Your Name praise! Thank you, Lord! Amen!

Father, I ask that You help every person and family, friends, that come to this site in the hopes of being set-free. Lord, look past our weaknesses and bring deliverance In The Name of Jesus and through the Blood Jesus shed on the cross for us. I stand in agreement with everyone in our attempts to be free. Father bless all, the previous post was of such significance we need to know where these addictions originate and it's the pit of hell. May you all find the Peace and love of God through your trials. God loves you and has perfected love in me toward you. God's Speed!

First of all, my thoughts and prayers for Tommy. Second, I ask God to help my son who is currently in jail. Also, I ask his help in dealing with this life/emotional draining situation. I pray for all families dealing with loved ones who have made the wrong choices. May our prayers be answered. Mom

Help Tommy's family to copy with this terrible loss. Although let them know that he is at peace now and shall live life eternal. Addiction is an unfortunate robbery of some of us but we have the tools - you, dear God - to keep moving on day by day. Bless this family and bless Tommy with you in heaven.

Dear Lord,
I have read the prayers that my brothers and sisters have written before me. I see so much of myself in the words that describe Tommy. Lord, I know that addiction is hard to beat first hand, becuase Lord, I cannot hide the fact that I too am a drug addict. I have been sober for a little while now, I'm not sure how long. But with you, Lord, you have given me the strength and ability to stay clean. Lord, you know the struggles my family is going through as Meredith, my sister, is also an addict. She is stuggling and is not willing to come out of that life yet. Show her what she is hiding from and give her the courage to escape from this tormenting cycle. Lord, I pray for Tommy's family. Give them your assurance that he is ok now and not suffering anymore. Show them that there is a reason for everything and deliver them from their pain. We only have a short time here on earth, but the glory we shall receive from you, Lord, when we pass from here will be more wonderful than we can imagine. Lord,we don't understand the reasons why things happen like this. Help us to remember that your will is good. Lord, Just know that I am praying for all those who suffer from this disease that we can wake up from this dream that we have created and come to you Lord! You are the only answer. Please pray for Paul who is in final stages of live unless he gets help. He is a 50 year old addict that I cannot convince that it is not too late.
