Shane Whalen
This Prayer Circle is Dedicated to my son Shane Whalen Who Passed Away On March 15, 1999 at the Age of 24, & All Other Children

Start a prayer circle for bereaved parents who have lost a child.

There are many of us out there who have lost a child, and it is devastating. It changes the outlook on life, plunges you into a depression, and you think that the feelings and thoughts you have nobody else could possibly relate to. I think a prayer circle for bereaved parents would only benefit us and help us on our journey of grief. This Circle is one of Love, where a Grieving Parent can safely come to for Prayers, and to talk about their feelings.

The last Enemy Destroyed,but now christ is risen from the dead,and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.for since by man came death,by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.for as in adam all die,even so in christ all shall be made alive.But each one in his own order:Christ the firstfruits,afterward those who are Christ's at his coming.Then comes the end,when he puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.For he must reign till he has put all enemies under his feet.The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.1 corinthians15:20-26 love in christ.

Hello SAFENEST, a very warm welcome to the Circle, and I too am so very, very sorry to read about your 13 year-old niece dying so tragically, what a shame.
Your brother and his wife must be overwhelmed with pain and grief, God bless them. All of us here share in their sorrow, we know all too well how devastating it is to lose a precious child. This is so nice of you to post here for them, you must be a big support to them in their pain. Thank you so much for your own kind words and prayers for us, and know that your niece's Parents will be prayed for.
May God bless you, in whatever way He knows you need,

Oh my dear sister, I LOVE your news!! Yes, I heard the Marlins lost, but it aint over yet, :-).
That is wonderful news about the Columnist doing the story!! I'm so happy for you! You must be elated, you started the 'ripple' and look at the effect, your e-mail made it to the Columnist's desk, a miracle, she was very touched by it, in the meantime you and Don, Evelyn, found each other, another miracle, and now a beautiful story will be told about how all this came to be!! I'm so excited and happy for you! And yes, it will raise awareness of the importance of Organ Donor's, I can surely see God's Hand in this, He has worked through you to help others and that is amazing, in your own pain a little over a year ago now, you made the selfless decision to donate your beautiful Solange's organs, a lasting gift from her, and now look how far the 'ripple' has been widened!
Please let us know what Paper it's in, and perhaps we can read it and see the pictures online. God bless you, my dear sister, I'm VERY happy for you!
Much love & Angel Hugs,

Hello maxie2003, and thank you for posting here at the Circle! We always love and truly appreciate it so much when someone who hasn't lost a child posts here for us. Yes, by Christ's Resurrection from the Dead, He conquered it for us, and now we have the promis of Eternal Life, and know one day that we will be reunited with our beloved children who have gone sadly before us. But oh the Reunion that awaits us! May God bless you too, in whatever way He knows you may need,

Hello Angel Moms,
I am one of Solange's friends and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for Selva, I came across a poem that someone else wrote and I wanted to share it with you all. You are all very strong and I'm sure your kids dedicate this poem to you from heaven...

My Mom’s my precious gift from God, she’s not like any other;
She’s my forever Angel, my dear sweet wonderful mother.

She doesn’t have to wear a halo, have a golden harp or wings;
For my Mom is my Angel, with or without these things.

There’s no other person like her and she’s my lifetime friend;
She is the dearest Mother, the good Lord could ever send.

We share good times together, we talk, we shop and dine;
My mother is the best on earth and I’m sure glad she’s mine.

My Mom’s my precious gift from God, she’s not like any other;
She’s my forever Angel, my dear sweet wonderful mother.

Hi dear Jessica, what a very sweet thing to do, post this beautiful Poem for us all! Thank you sweetie, it's very touching, and what an appropriate title for the Poem, ANGEL MOM! That's what we call ourselves here at this Circle of Love.
You must miss your dear friend Solange so much too, and our dear Selva is so fortunate that Solange's friends are there for her too, remember, Jessica, Solange hear's your heart, so when you're missing her a lot, just speak to her from there, and she'll hear you and be around you!
Aw, that's so nice of you to thank us, all of us here know of her pain and grief, having lost children ourselves, so we are only too happy to help out our dear sister, we all love her dearly, and our prayers are with you too Jessica, I just lost a dear friend, so I know it's hard for you too, and Solange's other friends. God bless you sweetie, and thanks again for posting this beautiful Poem!!

Hello dear Jessica, ~ What a beautiful poem you have shared with us. Thank you also for your kind and thoughtful words to all of us here. As Sandy has already said, we do love our Selva, and she is such a loving and giving person and an inspiration to all of us here, even as she grieves. She helps shares our grief just as we share her's. Because we, too, have lost a child, we can relate to her pain and what it is like for her on an ongoing basis. I takes a lot of prayers, leaning on God, to continue on our grief journey; especially so in the very early stages, like where Selva and our other angel moms are now. It is a very difficult and neverending journey, and it takes a lot of support and understanding. All of these things are important to the healing process; and they help give us the determination and will power to press on, during valley times when we could so easily give up and quit trying because of the pain and loss we feel daily. Again, I thank you for your post and for sharing such a beautiful poem with all of us here. I know that Solange is watching out for you, her wonderful mom, and all of her other dear friends and family. God bless you dear one!
Love & AngelHugs,

Hi Jessi, thank you so much for sharing that beautiful poem with me and my dear Angels sisters, I lnow how much they appreciate it, that its so sweet of you. I know how much you miss Solange and like Sandy and Verna said, she is watching over you too, she can hear you when you talk to her, see, she is olgy gone from our sight, but love never dies, yes we miss her, and I will give my life just to see her again and hear her saying Hi Mom, I'm OK, but I know she is there waiting for me so we can hugg, and kiss and laugh again, se, my love for her is eternal, that never dies, so when God decides is my turn to cross over, she will be there waiting. Thanks again Jessi. Love MOM

10/22/2003 17:03

Hi Vicky, nice to hear from you again, I'm so glad that your mom is doing a little better, did you printed our messages?, tell her she will be always in our prayer and we understand, the pain, the anger, dispair and everything that comes with this long and awful grief. Give your father a little time, we all grieve in different ways, he will also understand and I am sure that God will touch his heart. God Bless you. Selva

10/22/2003 17:08

Hi my dear sisters. I went to my pshyco today and told her about the story, she was very happy, she said that is part of the job Solange left for me to do, to continue helping others, they sent a photographer to take my picture today, I spoke to Evelyn and don last night, just wanted to make sure they agreed to have the story published nad of course they said yes, Evelyn is having a had time with her knee surgery (the second one in a year, she is under a lot of pain, I promised we all be praying for her recovery, so we can finally meet each other. Marlins lost last night, there is still hope for tonight. love you Selva

10/22/2003 22:16

Hi my sister, you're probably watching the game right now, :-) hope they win tonight!! That was such a nice thing that Jessica did, she sounds like such a sweetheart! I'm glad to read that you're still visiting with your Therapist, yes, I agree with her, one of the most wonderful ways we can honour the memory of our children is to reach out and help others, in their name. You had your picture taken today?
Don't forget to let us know what paper it's going to be in and when, then maybe we can see it online. Love ya my sister, and hope the hometown team wins!
Love & Bear Hugs,

Love & Angel Hugs,

10/23/2003 19:39

Hi my dear sisters. Yes the photographer came and took a lot of pictures, she asked me to tell her the story why she was taking pictures of me because they did not explain, she is a young girl , works for Associated Press, so when I told her she cried with me, she told me she is writing a book about death, and that she signed for Organ Donors, but her family is against it, so I told her to talk to her parents about it , all that people need is just learning more about it, our bodies are just like a shoe, once we get rid of the shoe (body) your feet are so relieved (soul), so why not help others?, she promissed she will talk to her parents and explain further. The name of the newspaper is, she published her columns on mondays, but I don't know the date yet because when I talked to Evelyn and Don last night she told me she is under a lot of pain and told the reporter to wait a few days, but the minute I'll know I will tell you. Sandy the Marlins won last night, that place was rocking, it was the last pitch for Roger Clemens (the best) he retired last night (going to the Hall of Fame) and even that he plays for the Yankees (and we were loosing) the whole stadium stood up and gave him standing ovation for a long time out of respect for a great player, that was very emotional, and the Marlins players went out of the doug out to aplaud for him too. We are one tonight before going back to NY, so Let's go Marlins. Miss V, are you back home? I received an e mail from your regular e mail address? please let us know. My sisters, Jessica is a sweetheart, she comes to visit me, and leaves flowers at Solange, she was one of Solange's best friends. It is nice to see young people caring so much, I'm sure that is part of Solange's work in this planet, Juny is also learning a lot, that makes me proud of my daughter. Lisa I will also let you know when the article will be publish. Love you my sisters. Selva

10/24/2003 02:34

Hello dear Selva, ~ NO, we are scheduled to arrive back in Shreceport sometime late Sunday night. The email that you received from me was probably a forward page that I sent to my email address, too, because I liked the site and wanted to have it on my computer. It will be good to get back to my old computer. There are a lot of things I can't access on this one because of security blocks. I think they have had a lot of problems with spam. Also, Selva, my hands are not doing too well, so I can't post as much right now. I will have it checked out as soon as I get back home. I think James will have the program installed that you told me about. Will post again when I can. Love and hugs to all.

10/24/2003 16:04

Oh, that's so wonderful my sister, your story is touching a lot of people, and the 'ripple' is spreading out farther and farther!! Yep, I can't see any reason why people don't sign Organ Donor Cards, unless it's against their faith beliefs. SO many people who are on long waiting lists (and some sadly will die waiting) would be helped so much if everyone who could donated their organs when they pass on.
I know, I read about it in this morning's newspaper, about Roger Clemens, it must have been something to see it though, everyone wishing him the best and giving him a standing ovation, bet he was emotional over it all! Yep, Marlins better wrap it up tonight, :-) so keep cheering them on, ha, ha!! Ah, yes, Jessica sounds like a real sweetheart, God bless her, how wonderful that Solange had such good friends, and they still remember and care about you, too! You are like a Mother Hen to them, I bet, :)
That's too bad about Evelyn being in pain, but once they get their pictures taken also, yes, please let us know what paper it'll be in!
Lots of love & Angel Hugs,

10/24/2003 16:09

Hello our dear Miss V, I thought the same thing when I got the fwd. from you, because it came from, so I figured you were back home. Is your sister coming back to Louisiana with you and your other sister? Bet your hubby and Rue will be happy to have you back home again!!
Much love & Tender Hugs,

Hello mythreesons, and a very warm welcome to this Circle, although I'm sad because of the reason, losing your precious 12 year old. You're in very good company here, all of us have lost a child or children, so we can relate very well to the pain and longing to see your son again. Yes, I believe that a part of us does go with our child, how could it not, they occupied a big part of our heart. It's comforting to know and realize that our child's spirit is around us, they are never that far away, and yes, Praise God for letting us feel that and know it! We'd love to hear about your boy, please post back again, you'll only find love, support, prayers and understanding here, at this Circle of Love. May God continue to strengthen you and your family too, sweetie, and please know that we all care,
Love & Angel Hugs,
