please pray for my son Jim. he is a recovering herion addict, jim has been clean for 7 months. this is the longest he has gone "without". we love him so much and he is struggling

Dar Father, I, too,lost a Tom...to a heroin overdose. I pray you will hold all addicts in your loving hands, keep them safe until they can come t you. Comfort the family and friends who are torn apart by this disease.."looking to see whom it can devour". Lord, most addicts are sensitive and intelligent which sometimes makes it harder for them to get help, open their hearts and minds to your wisdom...for the "Toms" we have lost let not their deaths be for nothing...if one person is savedbecause of this prayer circle, all will rejoice. Give us all your love and wisdom, hold Tom close to your heart. lauriejoy

to shevaun...I have been clean from heroin for 2yrs...after many,many attempts...do not give up on Jim...It was my mother and all my relatives that prayed,I believe, that helped me get here alive...I will pray for Jim and add him to the prayer list at church...tell him to hang in there. Its hard because one bad decision and you're using again...just remember to tell him that even if he slips up one day, don't throw in the towel thinking that he screwed up and its over, start over the next day. I used to get so discourged if I used once, I'd just give up and start up all over again. This disease will make him think ...what' the point, I'll never stay clean..even when I really try I still relapse...once a junkie, always a junkie.........addiction is really a disease of the mind.....it's like hell on earth but God is all powerful and it can be beaten with his help...lauriejoy I'm willing to help..

Dear GOD,

Bless Tommy's family and give the strength to carry on. I myself am going to a similiar situation.

My husband is a heroin addict and has gone to numerous bouts with rehab, but only stays for about a week. And a week is nothing to a person who's been an addict for the past six years.

I don't know what to do with him he went to Puerto Rico for 6 months. His mom told me he was clean but it was a lie, he was still using over there.

Well before he left he had stolen a bunch of stuff from our four children and myself. And the second day he came back he sold my DVD which I had replaced because he stole my other one. He's stolen from my children he is such a compulsive liar.

I suggested that he go to a rehab for about 6 months to a year but he refuses to go. Saying that he's going to find a job. Well nobody is going to hire a heroin addict, and his appearance says it all.

Please pray for my four young children and myself that he may get the help that he needs. I'm at the end of my rope if I throw him to the streets he has nowhere to go. But meanwhile I losing all of my personal possessions.

Please pray for us. I pray that it won't be too late.

ITS SO HARD SOME DAYS TO UNDERSTAND HOW THIS ADDICTION CAN HAVE SUCH A STRANGLEHOLD ON MY LIFE, FOR MARIA WHO'S HUSBAND IS ADDICTED...WE ALL BECOME LIARS AND SOME OF US THEIVES WHEN WE ARE STRUNG-OUT. i HATE TO SAY IT BUT THE BEST THING MY FAMILY DID WAS REFUSE TO LET ME COME HOME(EVEN TO VISIT) UNTIL I WENT INTO LONG TERM TREATMENT....MY MOM WOULD COME SEE ME AND TALK TO ME ON THE PHONE. BELIEVE ME I TRIED EVERY ANGLE TO GET AROUND THIS...USING GUILT(WHAT IF I HAVE TO SLEEP ON THE STREETS AND SOMEBODY KILLS ME) I SAID HORRIBLE THINGS TO HER TO TRY AND GET MY OWN WAY WHEN MY MANIPULATIONS DIDN"T WORK....I'D PROMISE TO GET A JOB, SAY IWAS GOING TO REHAB BUT THEY HAD NO OPENINGS,ETC.ETC. IT WAS ONLY WHEN I HAD NO WHERE ELSE TO TURN DID I GET SERIOUS ABOUT REHAB AND ACTUALLY STAYED WHEN I GOT THERE. YOUR CHILDREN NEED YOUR STRENGH AND ENERGY RIGHT NOW AND ,UNFORTUNATLY,US ADDICTS DRAIN EVERYONE AROUND US. I WILL PRAY FOR YOU AND HIM BECAUSE I KNOW GOD CAN HELP BUT TRY TO GO TO SOME ALANON MEETING,TOO. IF YOU DON"T LIKE THE FIRST ONE,GO AGAIN UNTIL YOU FIND A GROUP YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH...MY MOM SAYS IT SAVED HER SANITY WHEN I WAS ACTIVE IN MY ADDICTION. please pray for my husband.. he is addicted to gambling... we are drifting further apart each time he does it.. we have only ben maried 2 and a half years..i don t want to leave him.. but it is getting to the point i might have to.. please pray that he stops and i can be as happy as i was before also pray for me that i can try to understand why he does this it is tearing us apart fincially also.. i need to see a dermolist about a major problem i have with my hands and can t go because i can t afford it.. please help us...

Dear God, thank You for all You've blessed us with here on earth, even though the passing of those we love so dearly can tear us apart inside You are quick to send us a moment of Your time, a blessing, even if they may appear only to come far between they are there, and only appear that way...i think i'm seeing that now, especially in what we've still got in our minds, and in matter. Never the less i still need to ask mercy, for having stayed so blind at times, even almost all of the time, You still give me breath, and love, i never feel worthy anymore, almost ashamed to be granted such, like time though i guess even that feeling will pass, i hope, well really i pray, asking that maybe You could allow me pardon for living out of Your light, and though not liking it still living like so, You 've pulled through again for me to show me something, things, or one..some one very dear to me i feel i've neglected to cherish, and definitely neglected the same with those things i wake up to every day, nomatter how seemingly minute or little that might be,it has to be a miracle of Yours, i doubt the devil is so concerned...well i need to pray more, and the penance and 'do unto others' i hope i can live up to this day on, please give us the strenth, show us that there is someone, even if You might be that only One, to live on a better man & woman...for these things i pray

Lord, i came here tonight because i myself could do with more prayer in my life, i have my own problems, yes, but they cower in comparison to those around me, but still i seem narrowminded, stubborn and ignorant to those hurt and afflicted, i too feel afflicted but my vices and disease by mine and Your will alone are probably easily conquerable, but i've not yet done that, so maybe You could direct me today in being more mindful of those around me, in turn i hope to see clearly enough to be open to being compassionate and willing to receive, because i havn't and that hurts, myself and especially others, i don't think i will try this time, if i could have your blessing i will do.

Please help me Lord overcome my addictions. give me strength forgivness courage direction. Open our hearts Lord so we may fill it with the Love of the Holy Spirit.Heal my body so I will not feel pain all the time and haft to reach for pain pills. They have stolen my life away.
Touch the hearts of everyone who comes to this place of prayer Lord.Open our eyes so we can see we are your children and are worthy. Help us Lord. Send us a friend, a teacher someone to help redeem us.Im so so lonely. help me do your will Father. Help us all, by your grace we can have victory!Heal me so i may be of service to you and my fellow brothers and sisters. Dear God, i feel the need to pray, i haven't for the longest time, so as rusty as i am i'm asking again, i pray that You look upon Tommy's cuz Ren who has dome an absolutely astounding job with this site in using it as an instrument of Your peace, so many have sought and found refuge and solace in her words and expressed thoughts and feelings, to those who need a lil nudge with a wink and smile she looks eye to eye with and shares her story, and as hard a one as it is her cordialtiy and compassion rings through those sceens in front of a face damp with tears, i am blessed to know such a woman, things are always popping up to challenge her the same as any of us, but when they get abit large i ask You to touch her on the cheeks, send a warmth to her, one she can be aware of, those warm hugs are so vital to health and heart and i just think she deserves a gazillion of em'

Be with Tommy's family, that they will be comforted by your presence, that they will feel guided, supported by those around them, strengthened to face this loss, this tragedy. May my family know your presence in our lives and feel guided and strengthened to deal with my sister's problem, know the right way to deal with it. Protect her daughter, keep her from harm. Be present with my mom and her friend, that they will know you are present with them as they travel to visit my sister and her daughter. Keep them safe during their travels. Be with all those who are suffering from the terrible disease of chemical dependency, and those around them, who would be caught up in the destruction. Grant that the circles of humanity and divinity around these afflicted would grow and envelop them in loving kindness, that they would be open to this, that they would know peace and freedom from bondage.
