Shane Whalen
This Prayer Circle is Dedicated to my son Shane Whalen Who Passed Away On March 15, 1999 at the Age of 24, & All Other Children

Start a prayer circle for bereaved parents who have lost a child.

There are many of us out there who have lost a child, and it is devastating. It changes the outlook on life, plunges you into a depression, and you think that the feelings and thoughts you have nobody else could possibly relate to. I think a prayer circle for bereaved parents would only benefit us and help us on our journey of grief. This Circle is one of Love, where a Grieving Parent can safely come to for Prayers, and to talk about their feelings.

Hello to everyone, thank you so much for your prayers I just spoke to my Mom for the first time in 2 months oh how wonderful the power of prayer is. I told her of your support and she said to say thank you so much, she doesn't have alot of support and can't use the computer so I do thank you for all your help and advice. I know that Jesus is all that we have and he will fill our cups. I will continue to pray for all of you and pray that God will Bless each of you. You truly are the soldiers for Jesus. Thank you
God Bless Love Vicki

Thanks, you are been a terrific hel for her. Love Selva

Dear dovesfromheaven and shaner, I just spoke to my mom and through word of mouth my Dad is not doing very well after 17 years all he can talk about is my brother and we have not spoken in over 7 years. I look just like my brother and everyone thought we looked like twins. Please pray for a healing for my Dad. I have tried everything to mend our relationship this is the only thing that will work. We did not know about my brother until 6 weeks after his death and my Dad had to identify him I think this may be part of it. Again thank you and God bless.

Hello my sweet sister angelmoms,Not much to post.Just wanted to let you know how I am praying for all of you daily. I have been trying to keep myself busy with work and housework.Just to keep my mind off my Matthew. The tears come...I cry.and with everything that is in me..I try to hold on another day. There have been days when I just simply think of ways to die. I even have my music picked out for my funeral. What is wrong with me? I want to live..but then I don't...Not like this ...not without my Matthew...I went to my paster to have him pray with me about my I just want things to be like they used to be..No pain. How I don't like to see other families all happy and stuff.I have no tolerance of being around "happy people"..I guess that's why I don't get out much..I go to the church..and that's it.I have no life. My husband is always trying to get me to go to the movies..but then I think of the last time I was was mother's day last year when Matthew and his dad treated me to the movies...we all went...oh my God how I want to go back to that day..In my mind is where it happens I'm sitting there with Matthew and sitting in the middle , both of them hogging all the popcorn.and me trying to "shush" both them to hear what's going on with the movie. Oh God..what a beautiful time we had..I loved him so much. I miss terribly. Next month on the 17th he would of been 17 years old. Why am I still here? When will this pain end? I love you all. Please pray that I will continue to be a chicken**** and not go through with these feelings of trying to end my life....
In His Care
I press on,

10/12/2003 19:19

Thank you Selvam, I will do that I am going to see her this next weekend.
May God Bless you and thank you so much for your prayers too!!!

10/12/2003 21:32

Hi dear Vicki, I'm so happy that our prayers are helping to make a difference, Praise Our Lord for listening and answering! Please tell your Mom that it's our Joy to pray for her and all of you, we all know what it's like to lose a child and how it changes lives and families. That's a good idea that Selva gave you, printing them out and giving them to your Mom, she's not alone and neither are you!
Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad, he'll be prayed for too, and also for a reconciliation for the two of you, that must be hard on you too. I humbly ask Our Lord right now to touch his heart and let him realize that he's missing out on having a wonderful relationship with his daughter, you. God bless you dear Vicki and your Mom and Dad, and know you're in our hearts and prayers,
Love & Angel Hugs,

10/12/2003 21:50

Hello our dear Eva, it's so nice to see you posting again, and you're always in our prayers too. You're really missing your sweet Matthew, that's OK, cry and let it out, you'll always love him and he's always going to love you! God still has work for you to do here, that's why you're still here, so keep pressing on! We all go through feelings of wanting to die ourselves over the painful loss of our children, but I do pray that you remain a chicken and don't do anything to harm yourself, everytime that thought comes into your head, stop and say a prayer, you've got Ron to think about and your other children and now grandchildren!! So, as painful as it still is sometimes, please don't ever do that, keep praying as I said when those thoughts come up, and we'll be storming Heaven for you too! We love you sweetie, and pray a hedge of protection around you to keep you safe. KEEP pressing on,
Lots of love & Tender Hugs,

Dear Angel Moms, ~ Just a short note to let you all know that my sister and I made it here and our sister was very happy to see us, as we were to see her. However, she still needs a lot of tender loving care, which we brought with us! :) Thank you all for your prayers, and please continue to storm heaven with prayer for our entire family. We are getting ready to go shopping, will write again soon!

Dear Buckholzv, ~ Your faith shines brightly. Our Lord and Savior sees within your heart. Keep trusting in Him and lean heavly on Him to provide the healing within your family. I join in with the other angel moms in prayer for you and your entire family. I pray that God will touch the hearts of each member of your family and that He will provide the desire and the means for your family to come together in love. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen!

10/14/2003 15:24

The sudden and tragic loss of a loved one or friend is a heavy cross to bear. Not only are friends and loved ones grieving the loss, they are left with the lack of closure. That is, they didn't have a chance to say I love you, nor did they have a chance to say good bye. Sometimes, the last contact made with the deceased may have been filled with hurtful words or anger. When this is the case, the loved one or friend will usually have a harder time dealing with the loss. In such cases, it is important to remember that the loved one would want you to know that the love you had for each other did not die! Friends and loved ones may disagree and speak words of anger frequently. This does not mean that the love that binds has been broken. It is important that we remember: we are forgiven as we forgive. If you or someone you know were angry with a loved one or friend that died, believe in your heart that you are forgiven! If it were the other way around, wouldn't you want your friend or loved one to know beyond a doubt that you had forgiven them? Sometimes, we are harder on ourselves than our departed loved one would ever be. If you or someone you know are carrying around such a heavy cross; acknowledge it, then pray for forgiveness, have faith, and know that you are forgiven!

10/14/2003 15:30

Heavenly Father, Sometimes death comes calling suddenly and without warning. If words of anger were the last words spoken to a precious loved one or dear friend, who was taken suddenly, and without warning, we have a hard time forgiving ourselves. Father, You have told us in Your Holy Word to "Ask, and it shall be given." Right now, Father, I ask that You would take this heavy burden off of each and every one of Your children who may be carrying such a cross! Father, I know You have forgiven; and so has the friends or loved ones who are now with You in heaven. God, please teach us how to accept Your forgiveness, as well as the forgiveness of friends or loved ones who have gone on before us! Last, but not least, Father, teach us how to forgive ourselves. I ask these things in Your Son Jesus' name, Amen!

10/14/2003 15:48

Dear Eva, ~ I am so sorry that you are going through deep valley days. May it help to know that no matter where you are on your grief journey, God is there with you, and He will carry you in His powerful arms and give you relief from the unbearable pain. Remember also, you have us who love you and walk with you through it all. Most of all, we will continue to lift you up in our prayers daily. Keep pressing on, Eva. You have come a long way. Don't you dare give up and give in to the evil one's desire! When you feel like giving up, let go, and let God and our prayers comfort you and see you through! Hold on to your faith, and trust God to see you through!
Love & Angel Hugs,

Dear Sandy, ~ Hope all is well with you. I will be posting as time permits! Sister is doing well so far. She will receive physical therapy today. Please keep us in your prayers! We think we have almost convinced her to come back to Louisiana. We will be here until the 25th. She is in good spirits and taking her meds on time. Also she is beginning to eat a little more and drink lots of fluids which seem to be helping her regain her strength. Of course you know that I appreciate all prayers that you and the other angel moms send up for me and family. God bless each of you, and I will try to get back on later this evening if possible. I'm having a time finding my way around on Pat's computer. I still have not been able to access my email because I have forgotten my password. I would have to know it in order to check it at AOL Anywhere! But, I'll keep trying! :)
Love & Angel Hugs.

I will put this prayer circle on our churches prayer list too!! I ask that the Our Dear Lord would bless you today.

10/15/2003 13:56

Dear Selva, & Buckholzv, ~ Thank you both for your kind words and prayers. I have shared your posts with my sister, and she asked me to thank each and everyone for praying for her.
Selva, I have been keeping you and your beautiful Solange in my prayers and hoping that God will permit her to send you a sign or two to assure you that she is ok and happy in God's kingdom along with all our other guardian angels. It has been quite a while since I have had a dream about my Diane, but she and MaDear sends me plenty signs. :) MaDear had a special love for birds. Each morning she would sit on her porch and feed the little birds that visited faithfully. They were like children to her. So, when ever I am in valley time, suddenly a little robin, or red bird, or blue jay will appear out of nowhere and visit with me. Their singing is my sign from Diane. And, all of a sudden, I am smiling and feeling much better! Sometimes, God allows our loved ones to send us signs in many different ways. So, make sure you keep an eye out for a sign from Solange. :) The same is true for our other angel moms. Our children are watching over us 24/7, and they want us to know that they are always near. I believe that with prayer, and faith in a loving and caring God, we will begin to recognize more and more signs from heaven.
God bless everyone, and I will try to post again later today.
Love and Angel Hugs,

10/15/2003 14:02

i pray for you and may god keep his loveing arm around you at all times to give you hope till you find your child ..cause in god we trust

10/15/2003 14:34

Dear Phillip0525, ~ Please know that I care, ... And so does all the other angel moms and dads who post here in our circle of love. You are now an important part of our circle, and we embrace you and will walk with you through your storm. Remember God is able to do what seems impossible to man. He wants the best for each of us; and this includes you! You, too, are His child! Whatever is going on in your life at this time, turn in over to God! We will help you to do that with our prayers! It is hard to do but you must surrender your all to God! Just trust Him and He will help you to weather all of life's storms. There is a saying, with which I agree ... "God said it, I believe it, That settles it! :) I pray that God will bless you in whatever way that you need!
God's peace and blessings,

10/15/2003 18:11

Dear Dixie3561, ~ I have visited your site and read your touching story conderning your long search for your beloved sister. I join others in praying that you and your sister will be reunited soon. Turning it over to God is the right thing to do. For God is all wise and all knowing. He also knows what is best as it relates to each of us. If it is within His will, you will be reunited with your sister. In His time ... Not ours. I pray that it is His will that the time will be soon!
God's peace & blessings,
LOVE2U (Verna)
