Prayer Circles

It is been awhile since I've been here. I think of all the moms writing in and know that their is a world full of mother's who's hearts ache.
When I begin to feel sad about not having Lisa here with me, I remember the words I said to her daughter, Nikita.
I was having to explain that her mother had died. I told her that when we are a baby angel in heaven and come into a new baby on earth, the angel family and friends in heaven are sad we are leaving. But, the people on earth are happy that the baby angel is being born.
Then, when the angel's body does not work anymore, the angel gets to leave the body and go home! So, we feel sad that someone we love is not here anymore. But, when the Angel goes home, they through a big party and laugh and sing because the angel baby has come home.
I tell Nikita that we don't die, we just take off our body and go home.
And someday we will take off our bodies and join Mommy in heaven. I know she will be there to help us find our way home.
I pray for peace, joy and happiness to flow over you.

Hi Cheryl, ~ I just clicked on to catch up on reading. But after reading your post, I had to sign in and respond. First of all, it's good to see a post from you. :) Your post touched me deeply. What a wonderful way of describing Lisa's home going. I have heard it described in many ways, but your way of explaining it is the best by far. :) Give Niki a big angel hug from all of her Aunt Angel Moms!

Hello All, ~ It's been a very long day! I've been up all day and that's a miracle for me. :) A lot going on here with school starting and all. Hubby and I help out some days with picking up the kids when their moms can't do it because of work or school. Cheryl is working as an aid this year in the computer lab at the school where I worked before I retired. I'm not sure it's official or if it's volunteer work. She hasn't stopped long enough to fill me in. Anyway, she is taking 12 hours toward her degree, but has to pick up 3 more hours in order to be eligible for student aid next semester. She's maintained a 4.0, but money is so tight, she did not get a full scholarship this time, so she is stressed about that. I told her to just do her best and depend on God to make a way. If not now, then, in His time. I'm just glad she decided to go back and earn her degree, God bless her. She seems really determined this time. Of course, I knew if she ever started substitute teaching she would fall in love with the kids, and they with her. :) Please help me pray that all will go well for her and James and his dad. She called tonight to say that they were at the hospital because James dad is in intensive care. He had is other leg amputated recently, and is not doing very well. James is a car salesman and works very long hours but spends a lot of time looking after his father. His mother died just before he and Cheryl met, so it's pretty much on him.
I'd like to thank all of you for all the touching and fun fwd pages. They really lift my spirits and help me to keep it all together. Some valley moments, but your prayers and support help tremendously. Again, thank you all.
Lisa, I'm so glad that you were able to find some peace with the channeling session. I have watch some famous person do this on TV, but forget his name at the moment. Whoever he is, he is very good. Cheryl checked out a book by Sylvia Browne today and I can't wait to read it. It's called the Book of Dreams. Because most of my dreams in the past have warned me of impending deaths, I have developed a fear of dreaming. Cheryl sees this phenomenon as a gift. I'm hoping Sylvia's book will shed some light on things to help me better understand it all. :) Fortunately, I did have a very vivid dream that allowed me to embrace my daughter and ask her about heaven and find a bit of closure. I thank God for that. But I still feel sad because I didn't understand that my dreams were indeed warnings. Even though I know I there was nothing I could have done to prevent these deaths, I still feel I should have known something was about to happen. :(

Oh gosh angel moms, it is after 4 AM. So I must sign off so I will be alert to pick up the grand kids tomorrow. Will try to finish posting later today after a few hours sleep. :)

Hi dear Cheryl, gosh yes, it's been awhile, but I'm so happy to see a post from you again! Pray things are going well for you and Nikki. Yes, how true, not only on these pages, but right now there are other Mom's heart's breaking somewhere.
What a beautiful way to explain to a child, Nikki, Lisa's passing! Children have a hard time understanding death, but the way you described it to Nikki, truly warms the heart, and rings so true! Thanks for sharing that with us.

Hello our dear Miss V! Caught again, :)
not only up all day, but well into the wee hours again, I hope you're not doing that because of your fear of dreaming. I agree with Cheryl, it is a gift, perhaps not one you like right now, but understanding it more will help you to accept it as the gift it is.
I saw Sylia Browne on Larry King Live talking about this Book of Dreams, but I've never personally read it.
Oh gosh, that's so sad about Cheryl's father-in-law, God bless him, of course we'll pray for all! And thank you Miss V for all your Cards and fwd.'s, they also lift up a sagging spirit!

I came across this poem, and immediately related to it in the beginning, when our pain is 24/7. Unfortunately I don't know who wrote it, but they surely knew how to express that awful pain in the beginning of our Journeys.

I have a new companion

Oh gee, my sister, I just saw your post now on the previous page, I thought the page was filled? Ah, Nancy misses your company, so good for you spending more time with her. Hope the Marlins won for you, :) Of course we understand my sister, I pray that your Dr. can help you to cry, vent, and let the pain out where it belongs, that rock you feel in your chest is the stress of not being able to cry, so we'll all praying that you will be able to cry, and then that rock will go away. Donna is spending all week with Shar, and Shar doesn't have a Computer, but hopefully we'll hear from her soon, with some good news. Love you my sister, and praying for you,

Hi my dear Angel sisters, Ms V you are overdoing it again, what are we going to do with you?, you have to take care of yourself so we can see you in Oprah, with your book, I pray that everything is going well with the book, you are so lucky taking care of your grandchildren, Hurray for your daughter going back to school , I always told Solange that I will keep up with all her adventures, but School was number one on the list, she did keep up to it. LISA, thank you my dear sister, what a great job you did this way we can say special prayers on those days, unfortunally there are so many of us. Sandy my sister, I am so glad you got the mail, I thoughed it was going to be returned, I hope you did not have to pay extra postage, I will try to scann it and send it to all my sisters, Deb I tried again to get into Skyla web site but no luck, I will keep on trying until I get it straight,dont worry my sister, God will take care of that. I went to my Dr. today, and its true what she said, the 2 year its worse thatn than the first, I am going nuts about it, the pain is greater , I try to hide it because my sister and brother has put up with me for a year now, but they have no idea what its going on within me, I can not stand this pain anymore, I just don't know what to do. I will keep on trying to get in touch with Solange, this way, if I can, then it will bring a little peace to my heart, and then I will patiently way until my time comes, but in the meantime, its just plain hurt. Dearest Angel Moms, ThankYou for your Prayers and good wishes. I got home last night and Shar was doing better because Jan was in the put in the hospital for bronchitis and there was no smoke in the house for a few days and Shar finally was doing better Jan was released against Drs orders and made it clear she is not going to quit smoking so I'm praying Shar will continue to do as well I'm going over after I get dress to see Shar and hoping all goes well she'll be on oxgen for awhile but I'm hoping she has turned a corner but smoke in the house will make it longer for her is what the Dr said and as soon as she is well she is going to look for her own place it is a serrious condition but if the person doesn't smoke and gets flu and pneumonia shots Shar should do well with only ocassional flair ups I aired the house out good and sanitized so in time Shar will have her own place. Missed You and will catch up with you all soon Have a great weekend and Thankyou for your Love and Care Donna

Hi my sister Donna, so great to hear from you and find out that Shar is getting better, I really hope she finds a place soon where she can be without her (stobburn room mate), I think that it is not nice from her, but don't worry God is looking after you and Shar, so everything will turn out to be fine after all. Oh that's terrific Donna, I'm sure she has turned a corner, not smoking herself and keeping up with her shots for flu and pneumonia will greatly protect her. You have a good weekend too, and say Hi to Shar for us all,

Hi my sister! Yes, I received your mail, and no, I didn't have to pay for any extra postage, :) Yes, I'm sure the other Angel Moms would love to have a copy too. You're just entering the 2nd year, so still give yourself plenty of time and keep praying, usually in the 2nd year the Reality of it all starts to set in, and yes, it's painful, but leaning on Our Lord during the painful times will help you, or rather HE will help you, love you my sister,

Hello Angel Moms, Miss V may post later on tonight, but if she doesn't, she and her hubby's good friend who recently lost his wife, lost his mother also, so she asks for our prayers for this, and also for her mother-in-law, who is ill right now, (90 yrs. young) and of course tomorrow is Diane's 7th year Anniversary, so I assured her we will keep all of this in our prayers for her.

I thought of you as soon as I opened my eyes this morning and I lit a candle for your Diane as soon as I got out of bed. Dear Angel Moms, this was in my latest Newsletter from Bereaved Parents of Ontatio. It's so true for recently Bereaved Moms and for us too, who are further along the road with worn out shoes,


For the Newly Bereaved

Most bereaved parents experience one or more of the following:

*Feel physically exhausted, have difficulty sleeping, do not want to go to sleep or get up

*Feel a tightness in the throat, heaviness in the chest, or a lump in the stomach like a rock.

*Have an empty feeling with appetite loss.

*Wander aimlessly, forget a thought in the middle of a sentence, neglect to finish tasks, feel restless, look for activity, but can't concentrate.

*Have respiratory reactions - excessive yawning, gasping, hyperventilating.

*Experience feelings of anxiety.

*Think they are losing their mind.

*Say to oneself, "If only I had..."

*Keep asking, "Why?"

*Feel they don't want to go on.

* Feel the loss isn't real. that the child will return.

* Sense the loved one's presence by expecting the child to walk in the door or phone at the usual time. Hear the voice or see the face.

* Look for the child in a crowd or see reminders unexpectedly.

* Need to tell and retell and remember things about the child and the experience of death.

*Cry at unexpected times.

*Feel able to cope and then fall back again - a see-saw type of reaction.

*Feel depressed.

All of these reactions are natural and normal. It is important not to deny one's feelings, but to learn to express them. Realizing that you are not alone in having these reactions is helpful. One's balance is regained slowly through understanding and working through the grief process.

It has been said that the bereaved underestimate their ability to survive. Many bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents are proof that the self-help process in a group work.

I'm not posting this to make anyone sad, but to help us all realize that we're not alone in our grieving, and all of us have experienced some of these feelings at one time or another. Here, at this Circle, we are the Group that lifts us all up in spirit, with love, support, prayers, and the sharings of all.
