For those with chronic diseases and illnesses
Chronic Diseases Prayer Circle

This circle is for all who suffer with chronic diseases and disorders and in need of prayer and support from others.

There are many who are afflicted with chronic diseases such as lupus, MS, fibromylagia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and others, or may have children or other family members and friends who suffer with these conditions. The prayer circle can be here for the many ups and downs that come with these illnesses, as well as the tests that most have to go through when having a flare or time of activity in their symptoms. This can be a place to come for prayers when support is needed and also to give thanks and praise to God for remissions and times that we feel well.

Novena Prayer to Saint Joseph
O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most Loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen.
Say for nine consecutive mornings for anything you may desire. It has seldom been known to fail.

Novena Prayer to Saint Jude
O Holy St. Jude, Apostle and Martyr great in virtue and rich in miracles,
near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke your special patronage in time of need, to you I have recourse from the depth of my heart and humbly beg to whom God has given such great power to come to my assistance. Help me in my present and urgent petition. In return, I promise to make you name known, and cause you to be invoked.
Say 3 Our Fathers, 3 Hail Mary's and 3 Glorias (Prayers to be said once a day for nine days)

Novena Prayer to your Guardian Angel

O Holy Angel, whom God, by the effect of His goodness and His tender regard for my welfare, has charged with the care of my conduct,

And who assists me in all wants and comforts me in all my afflictions, who supports me when I am discouraged and continually obtains for me new favors, I return thee profound thanks,

And I earnestly beseech thee, O most amiable protector, to continue thy charitable care and defense of me against the malignant attacks of all my enemies.

Keep me away from all occasions of sin. Obtain for me the grace of listening attentively to thy holy inspirations and of faithfully putting them into practice.

In particular, I implore thee to obtain for me the favor which I ask for by this novena. (Here mention your petition.) Protect me in all the temptations and trials of this life, but more especially at the hour of my death, and do not leave me until thou hast conducted me into the presence of my Creator in the mansions of everlasting happiness. Amen

Dolphin-

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am still in a rut and can't seem to get out of it. I do pray for an hour everyday, but I don't feel that God is hearing me. I saw my psychologist today amd she said we will start meeting twice a week now. So I guess she feels I really need to get to the roots of my child-hood issues. I would like to ask all of you in this prayer circle to please go to mine and say a prayer for me. I am getting desperate for the Lord's help and maybe if you say a prayer in my circle, he would hear us all and I will hopefully get the answers I am looking for whether they hurt or not. You all are and always will be in my daily prayers. May God bless you all and keep you safe and healthy.

This prayer is for all the people suffering from hypoglycemia and diabetes (including myself). Please teach us how to heal ourselves and to learn how to take care of ourselves. Please give us comfort in times of low or high blood sugar spells. Please help us find the support and care that we need to manage our disease and the strength to keep trying in times of illness. Help us to remain positive and to affirm everyday that we want to be healthy and lead healthy lives. I also pray for the family members of hypoglycemics and diabetics. Please help them bare the burden of our mood swings and depression and give them the strength to keep positive for themselves and for us.

Shoshana :)

Just discovered you site. What a blessing! Please pray for my daughter who suffers from Lupus. She is a very brave young lady and each day is a challenge for her. Her faith is strong and has sustained her for many years. Our prayers also go out to those suffering from this chronic disease. Thank you and God's blessings to all.

mrsaagus: Many of your symptoms are ones that I also battle with so my prayer is for you to get some relief from the pain that goes with these conditions.

Muffins - your husband will also be in mya daily prayers.

Starfalls: I know that feeling of loss for your mother as mine has been gone for eleven years now and I think of her everyday. Both of them are in the arms of the Lord now and are healthy and whole. Thank you for your prayers for all who are suffering.

reefrattle: Thanks for posting the Novenas for anyone who may wish to make one for themselves or for the intention of others.

lively: Because of being off so much this past month, I must have missed your Prayer Circle. If you read this today, would you please let us know the name or link to get there, as I do want to go there and say a prayer, and maybe some others here want to do so also. I will go back in our pages of prayers and see if I can find it.

shosh: You are so right that proper control of our diseases, diabetes especially, is very necessary. Dear Lord, please give all of us here the strength and self-control to do what is healthy for us with our illnesses and to avoid what is not. Please have us know when we have to say "no" to something that may taste good, but can cause problems.

It was so kind and loving for shosh to recognize the need for prayer for those who help take care of us when we are ill. I pray to God to give them the strength, patience, peace and understanding needed each day and to pour out His blessings upon them.

dianaoflourdes: Thank you for that beautiful and loving prayer, and the love that you have for those who are ill which is evident in that prayer.

T-Lee: There are a number of those in the Circle with Lupus, myself included, so please know that your daughter will be in my prayers. It is a difficult disease in that it can affect the entire body. There have been many advances made in the treatment of Lupus, and we will pray that she will have a remission of her symptoms.

May all of your have a good weekend, and for those who are not doing very well right now, don't stop praying or get too discouraged. I know that can be easier said than done at times, but trying to stay positive can be an important part of healing and the way we feel. My prayers will be especially strong for those of you who are down and may not be able to pray. We will pray for you right now. I know how that is as it was just a couple of weeks ago I felt the same, and it was not easy to be faithful in my prayers for others and even myself during that time; however, I knew that there were prayers being said by all of you, so I thanked God for having this wonderful Circle, especially in my time of need.

Love & Prayers,
Dolphin

Thank you, Dolphin, for your prayers. I need them right now. I just can't seem to shake the last fibro flare I went into. I have gotten to the point that sitting at the computer makes me really sick; my shoulder and neck go into spasm, then it goes into my face and down my body into my hip. I do come on sometimes in the morning and read the requests, and try to remember everyone in my prayers (we know that God understands and knows the hearts of each one here in this circle, even when I cannot name them by name). Lively-39one: I sent a prayer and a couple of scripture verses to you that have helped me. Know that I am praying for you. God loves you so much, and so do those of us in this prayer circle!! My God bless each one of you and provide you with healing, comfort, and peace. Thanks again, Dolphin, for starting this prayer circle. I am praying for you!! Love in Christ, Cheryl

Today I offer this prayer:

O Lord Jesus Christ, who has vouchsafed to glorify by numberless miracles the Blessed Virgin Mary, Immaculate from the first of Her conception, grant that all who devoutly implore Her protection on earth, may eternally enjoy Thy presence in Heaven. Who with the Father and Holy Ghost, lives and reigns, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Lamentations 3:56 "Thou hast heard my voice:hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry." Ps.91:3 "Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence." Father GOD, Hear our cry, deliver and set free your children from the oppression of pain of these illness. Have Mercy, Lord, because Mercy suits our case. We love You and we Praise You for all that You have done and all that You are going to do. You have kept us and for that we say Thank You. We might not be where we want to be but we know that YOU know best. Strenghthen us where we are weak. Comfort the bereaved. We know You are a Mother to the Motherless and a Father to the Fatherless. You'll be our friend in the time of need. You'll be our Joy in a time of sorrow. You'll be our Hope when it looks like there is No tomorrow. Lead us with Your right Hand. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit because You left Him to be our Comfort and our Guide. Thank You, Lord for another day. And, when we've taken that last breath, give us a place in Your Kingdom; where there's no more dying, crying, pain or sorrow. We'll see those who have gone on before. But, in the mean time, Help us to be the Servants that You want us to be. Empower us to do Your will. Let us be a Blessing to everyone we meet. Thank You for these wonderful Prayer Partners and Prayer Warriors. In Jesus Name , we submit this Prayer! AMEN

i have never written here before, i have fibromyalgia, allergies and depression. trying to keep working at a stressful job, want to buy a house because my present financial status with paying my living expenses is worrying me to the point of making me miserable. i am paying more to live in this mobile home with all the added expenses than it would cost to live in a house and this mobile home is depreciating more every day where as a house is worth more every day. I try to keep my faith and pray, and read my bible, but i seem to be overwhelmed by things I cant get done, and my mind isn't working at full potential either, I forget words, get irritable and upset over everything, etc. i would appreciate prayers for me and my fiance who has had two back surgeries and has constant pain from them. i feel like I have failed the Lord or something and that he has forgotten me sometimes. depression is rough and added to the other problems, i am so glad I know what it is like to feel good or I would just give up. thank you, will pray for all of you. i feel so fortunate compared to some of you and I admire your faithfulness.

Hello All My Christian Brother's and Sister's-

Today I offer this prayer to all....

THE POWER OF PRAYER

Father, I ask you to bless my friends
reading this right now Lord, show them
a new revelation of Your love and power.
Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.
Where there is pain, give them your peace & mercy. Where there is self-doubting, release a renewed confidence in your ability to work through them. Where there is tiredness,
or exhaustion, I ask You to give them
understanding, patience, & strength
as they learn submission to Your leading. Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them
by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy
with You. Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage. Where there is a sin
blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over my friend's life. Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders, and friends to support, and encourage them. Give each of them discernment to recognize the demonic forces around them, and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it.

I ask You to do these things in Jesus' name.

In Christian love,
Your Friend in Jesus,
Lively-39One

KEEP A PRAYER IN YOUR HEART

A day that starts without a prayer
Is like an empty shell,
And a day that ends without a prayer Cannot be ended well;
For when your heart turns HEAVENWARD You find a sweet release,
And you understand the meaning of "His mercies never cease."
When life brings pain and sorrow
Which you feel too weak to bear,
There's strength in God's abiding love And in the power of prayer.
So never start a day unless
There's a prayer within your heart,
Don't make a firm decision
Until you've prayed about it,
For prayer is like a golden gift --
And just can't do without it ...
And though at times you feel as if
Your prayer has not been heard,
Remember, God is listening
And He hears your every word.
He may not always give the things
You wished and hoped He would,
But in His love and wisdom
He does all things for your good.

In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

A Prayer For All Those Who Are Suffering-

God, please help the troubled, the suffering, the hungry, and the heartbroken. Ease the minds of those who feel as if there's no way to break free from despair and dejection. Touch their hearts with a renewed enthusiasm for life. Inspire those who have failed to try again. Take the suffering into Your warm hands and infuse their body and soul with strength and courage. Cast Your light upon all the children of the earth and put comfort where there's pain, peace where there's worry, joy where there's sorrow, light where there's darkness. Let all who tread the earth know the healing power of Your love.

In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
