Cindy, thank you for your wonderful prayer of blessing for us all, I hope and pray that you yourself have good night's and are able to sleep, I know I had a hard time sleeping myself for a long while. Our angels are watching over us and want to help us, sometimes I ask my Shane to pray for me, especially if I'm having a bad day.

I came by this poem today by chance, and wanted to post it here for us all.
PLEASE BE GENTLE
Please be gentle with me for I am Grieving.
The sea I swim in is a lonely one, and the shore
seems miles away
Waves of despair numb my soul as I struggle
through each day
My heart is heavy with sorrow, I want to shout,
and scream and repeatedly ask, "Why?" At
times, my grief overwhelms me and I weep bitterly, so
great is my loss.
Please don't turn away, or tell me to get on with my life,
I must embrace my pain before I can begin to heal.
Companion me through my tears and sit with me
in loving silence. Honor where I am in my journey,
Not where you think I should be.
Listen patiently to my story, I may need to tell it over
and over again, It's how I begin to grasp the enormity of
my loss.
Nurture me through the weeks and months ahead.
Forgive me when I seem distant and inconsolable.
A small flame still burns within my heart and shared
memories may trigger both laughter and tears.
I need your support and understanding. There is no
wrong way to grieve,
I must find my own path.
Please, will you walk beside me?

Dear Lord,
I pray you will take the hand of each grieving parent and lead them to you, to peace and the knowledge that all is truly well. Let them know in their hearts that you have their children in your arms, that they are safe and loved more than even we ever loved them. One day, we will be with them, you will keep them safely for us. Ease the earthly grief by reminding us all that this life is only temporary and we will all one day be in your eternity. Keep us each safe until you "call us home."

BarbLW, it's so nice to see you posting again. Thank you for posting a beautiful prayer, may all of our grief be eased until we are home again and reunited with our children, you're absolutely right, our earthly lives are very short compared to Eternity, so let us all live each day to it's fullest as best we can.

I lost my 14 month old granddaughter 6 months ago. She lived with me and was like my own child. She suffered so much but has such a sweet spirit. I don't think this pain will ever go away. I wish God would have taken me instead of her.

God bless you, violetflowers, there isn't one of us who wouldn't trade places with our children if we could. God's will be done, not ours. It doesn't help much when you're in a lot of pain, you've lost a granddaughter who was more like your own as you say! The awful pain will subside and will settle into a quiet sadness, at least it has for me, you'll never forget your wonderful grandaughter who touched you so, and you'll always treasure the time she spent here with you. You're in our prayers and pray yourself, Our Heavenly Father is with you in your time of grief.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO HAVE A BABY FOR 3 YEARS NOW I LOST A BABY LAST SUMMER! NOW I HAVE FINALLY CONCEIVED AGAIN BUT THIS WAS A TUBAL PREGNANCY! THEY HAD TO REMOVE THE WHOLE TUBE!! Dear Lord, Please bless Shane. Shane is entrusted in your hands therefore I know he has found peace. Please Lord help those left to grieve his loss. Give them strength and keep them aware that Shane is still with them in spirit. Please help them with the healing process. I can only imagine the pain of losing a child. Unfortunately, tragedy struck my life as well and I lost my 25 year old brother. God Bless you Tommy. I love you forever. And Lord bless all the good-hearted people who have come to this board. Amen

TJSWIFE97, I'm so very sorry to hear of your miscarriages. It must have been heart-wrenching to finally conceive then lose them. God's will be done in all things, but I believe in miracles too and I'll pray that you and your husband are blessed with a child!

renee25, thank you for taking the time to post here, I'm so sorry to hear about Tommy, but as you say, Tommy and all the rest of the children on these pages, including my own, Shane, are now at peace and at one with God. Thank you for asking Our Lord to bless us all, and to help us, the only way some of us get through this is to rely heavily upon Him. And it does help in the healing process. God bless you.

violetflowers, such a sad, bittersweet post. Rest in the knowledge that your little Emily is being very well taken care of and knows no fear. Talk to Emily yourself, she can hear you, I talk with my son, and I know he hears me, they are not far away, they are only across the veil. God bless you.

My only son, Alex died on June 4, 2001. He was only 3 years old. I miss him terribly and I pray each night he is ok, not afraid. Some days, I don't know if I can go on without him. He was our family's everything. We are all lost without him. Each day seems worse than the day before.

AlexMyLove, I am so very sorry to hear about Alex. You have just recently lost him so you are in turmoil and shock right now. You are right at the beginning of your journey of grief, so whatever you're feeling IS normal. My heart goes out to you and your family in this time of great sorrow. It's very hard for you to grasp or believe, but you will get through this, but only if you take it one day at a time, especially right now. Losing a child is the worst type of pain a parent can ever experience. Your little Alex is in the arms of God, he's OK and is not afraid. At this stage, keep praying, asking God to give you strength to bear this and know that you will be prayed for here. May God wrap you in His loving light and help to ease your pain. God bless you.

Please pray for me. I lost my son Dale 7 years and 4 months ago, and I am just having a hard time right now, so any prayers will be helpful. My love and prayers go out to all those parents who has lost a child.

Donna, I'm so sorry to see you also have lost a beloved child. The old saying that time heals all just isn't true for many of us, is it. I think we will carry our own grief with us all our lives, it's something that we live with on a day to day basis. I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time right now, you will certainly be prayed for here and thank you for your prayers.
