O God,
Please help my husband who is suffering from a powerful addiction that has taken him over. Give him the strength to fight the temptations he faces. I know he wants to do the right thing but seems powerless at times. Please extend Your powerful hand to guide him.
Please give me the strength and patience to support him and quell the anger I feel--I fear the loss of our marriage and family unit.
Thank you God for our three extraordinary children. We truly are blessed. Please protect them from the pain of this powerful addiction so that they may continue to be kind and understanding rather than angry and bitter.
Please continue to look after Tommy's family and all families who have lost a loved one to drugs and watch over all addicts and their families.

Dear Lord,
I pray for all those afflicted with the disease of addiction. That they may be able to be free of whatever their devil may be. Whether it be drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, food, that you will heal them and they will be able to overcome their day to day battles without giving in. Lord thank you for George and for his life. Thank you for our children and for bringing us together. I know that although he has done things to hurt me and the family he hasnt done them intentionally. Lord I ask you to bless him today and always Lord and to help him overcome those addictions that he's fighting and that we can again become a close and loving family. Lord I've tried as a mother to do the best I could for both my kids but I somehow seem to have failed. Forgive me Father for my sins but spare my kids. Oh Lord, as Jesus suffered on the cross that we may live I thank Thee for Tommy's suffering that others may come to know the right and wrong. I also pray for all parents to seek your wisdom and knowledge and help the parents to love their children and show their children the right path. Oh Lord let the love of your son, Jesus shine upon each parents heart and help them to use Jesus love upon their children that they may come to know of your son Jesus and glorify your name. Amen.

Okay, I am just writing in regards to your loss. I myself have struggled with addiction for 15 years. I wonder sometimes how I am still here.
I used to blame my addictions on my troubled teenage years which led to probation, incarceration which followed me for 10 years of my adult life. I got out of a state run rehab, and after care that lasted 15 months the last time, which was just under 3 years ago. After stealing, lying and eventually burning bridges I will never be able to restore, I came back into the world.
I am a very bright individual, that never cared about much, but had potential. When I left the half way house, I was working at a carwash making $7.50 a hour. Today, I am married, I have a beautifal one year old daughter, a young beautifal wife, and a six figure income. Oh and by the way, I am using again!
The point I am trying to make is regardless of having nothing, and having everything, I am still trying to destroy myself. I am mean to my wife(mentally not physically) I have a job I love but I am still unhappy. The good part is I am not in denial, and I seemy downfalls , sometimes I just feel that God wants me to end my life, but I know that is the devil and I just take a breath and try to think of my family, and what I need to do.
I guess I am trying to say God took your Tommy because he saw a need to use your son for things just like this, for me to stumble across this web-site and find you ,Tommy and the others who have taken time to see the need.
My heart is with you and hopefully I will take with me from this as you get from the circle of people who show they care.
