Prayer Circles

My prayer is for Tommy and for my son Michael. I pray that God keeps Tommy close to him and that Tommy will reach down and help my son. He is a single father with two children who he loves very much. But Michael has a drug problem and needs all the prayers he can get.

Dear Lord above, I pray that you heal my brother Ronald from his addiction. He is a precious to us as he is to you. You know why he continues I ask you in the name of Jesus that the cycle be broken and he no longer needs drugs for his escape from life. I also ask you in the name of Jesus that you heal my addiction for food so that I no longer destroy my body and find food as my comfort but to find you as my comforter.

Dear Lord,

Please embrace Tommy's soul into your loving arms that he may find the peace he lacked on earth. And may all our friends who are still with us, especially Marco, and who suffer from addiction find the joy of living again, so that the passing of young ones like Tommy will not have been in vain. May your angels, Father, show them the way and the Light. Amen

I pray that the Holy Spirit will allow this family to heal and to help them deal with the pain and grief they are feeling. Help them to realize, Lord, that no one's life, no matter the experience, is lived in vain. There is a message in Tommy's life, as well as his death. Let us all learn to see the lessons that addictions teach us so that we can apply them to our on lives and the lives of others.

Hi. My name is Bill & I am a greatful recovering alcoholic. Two years ago I started losing the feeling in both hands. My doctor ordered an MRI. The MRI showed that I had a calcified disc pusing in on my spine. At that time he placed me on Oxycontin. He assured me that it was not "that" addiciting. So I started it. All the information I found said that to go off of Oxycontin was to simply decrease the dosage until off. I had a disc removed from my neck in November. All of my attempts to get off of the Oxycontin met with failure. My wife and I called a treatment center and we were told that the only way to go off of the medication was "cold turkey". So starting next Wednesday, I will be going through the detox process. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I start this journey. I was told that it will take between 5-7 days to do this. I have been told that getting off of the Oxycontin will be similiar to a heroin addict coming off of that. So, I need your prayers. Thank you in advance.

I lost my 19 year old son, Robby, on April 16, 2001, due to a Heroin overdose. 2 of his friends are doing really well in their recoveries, but all the rest are using again. May God help those in recovery to stay strong and healthy. I pray God opens a door to those people suffering the demons of addiciton, so they may find their way to recovery. I pray that God helps us, as a Society, learn to reach out and help these addicts, who cannot or will not help themselves. May God walk with those suffering addiction. May God protect our young people from the evils of drug abuse. And, may God guide our families, so we know how to help our addicted loved ones. Bless you all. Sandi

I pray for Tommy's family and wish for them the peace of knowing that his spirit is with the Lord now and that he wants them to have peace. My family could have the same thing happen to them at any time -- we have several members who have drug addiction problems as well as alcohol problems. They do not consciously live their lives -- they let drugs and alcohol guide everything they do. Please pray for them and for all who struggle with this problem. We pray that they experience a life-altering moment that changes how they perceive the life that God gave them. Amen, Deb

Dear GOD, i know you are listening and that you are always with us and that you love all of us unconditionally,
for that i know i should be more grateful, and i will try everyday to do just that by being more like you nomatter how hard it may be each day, but though You so much already i am here to ask more from You. With the coming spring and events like Easter, the 4th of July and just on any beautiful days that you bless us with, Tommy's friends and family will miss him just as much if not more than last year and i ask that you bless them all with a little extra comfort and solace, because it's been over a year the initial shock and disbelief that You've called him to You in heaven seems to fade some and become more real, memories become more vivid and detailed, smiles, laughs, tears, funny things Tommy said and did all come whirling through our minds, especially those closest to him and that can sometime

...sometimes bring on more pain than joy because he is such a great and wonderful man whose time with us on this earth just wasn't enough and though it was your will none of us could have ever been ready to part with him. So please GOD, send us comfort from the grief that those hurt most by his passing feel every day, minute and second, because the pain is very real, and endless for those who lost a part of themselves when they lost Tommy. Show us that he is still here with us, that he never really left, that he is in us,nomatter what this year brings good or bad, Tommy is there all the way, wether getting up each day or when we go about our lives, so that when this summer comes and goes all of us feel there's someone right beside us, even when we try to have fun let us know he's always right there having that same fun with us so that we are never saddened that in reality he can't be here phsically...but when we take that first walk into the shore we always know spiritually he's already waist deep in the water ready to jump that first rolling wave with us. Lord, thank you for all the great things You've given us in Tommy, i pray you will never let our spirits sink but rather you allow Tommy to walk through the rest of our lives beside us shining with pride for those who keep him dearest in their hearts. AMEN.

Come Holy Spirit,
fill our hearts with your holy gifts.

Let our weakness be penetrated with Your strength this very day that we may fulfill all the duties of our state conscientiously, that we may do what is right and just.

Let our charity be such as to offend no one, & hurt no one's feelings; so generous as to pardon sincerely any wrong done to me or others.

Assist us, O Holy Spirit,
in all of our trials of life, enlighten us in our ignorance, advise us in our doubts, strengthen us in our weakness, help us in all of our needs, protect us
in temptations & console us in afflictions.

Graciously hear us, O Holy Spirit,
and pour your light into our hearts, our souls, & our minds.

Father God I ask tha you would grant these soul that are suffering with all manner of sickness that you will send healing in there body that they may be a witness to you and a testimony for you and that you would raise each one of them up for your Glory

Dear Lord, please be with this family as they try to deal with their loss. Please don't let his death be in vain. Please let Tommy's death be an eye opener for someone going through the same thing, that they might see the pain that addictions cause to not only the families and friends, but also to you our Heavenly Father. GOD BLESS THIS FAMILY.

Dear God I pray for all those experiencing addiction. I pray for everyone involved. I pray for their families to be strong and consistant in their fight. I feel that addiction is a response to something that happened in their life. Please Lord let us all keep you and your miracles alive in our hearts. Let those who are without sin cast the first stone. Let us not be judgemental but a loving force to break the devils grip on us. Thank you for seeing me through. My addiction lasted 14 long years. It was a hard battle. It was hell on earth. But, I know you were with me through it all. Thank you, father. Amen.

Lord, Thank you for guiding me to this place, I thank Tommy's family for sharing his story and I Pray for his soul and his families hearts. I also ask that you please shine your love and strength along with your healing power on not only my cousin tracy but all who have the evil of addiction upon them. Please Lord, I lift them all into your hands and ask that you guide them into the life that you want for them. Help them lord to grow in your love and to take the desire away from them.
For Tommy's family, I am so sorry for your loss, I know the pain of losing a loved one to drugs and the power it has over them, I also believe that Tommy is an angel now helping those with addiction. God Bless You and the Rest of Your Family. Thank you Jesus for all of your love. AMEN

Oh Lord please bless those with addictions with the strength of the Holy Spirit because being an addict myself, I know first hand how utterly impossible it is to stay clean without Your help. Also, please bless Tommy's family and friends who were on the outside looking in-with no way to help him. Even treatment doesn't work without intervention from You, oh Lord.
