Prayer Circles

Hi dear Deb, hey, that's terrific that you had a good time yesterday with your son and his girlfriend! It's nice to get out of the house and have a little fun, especially eating out, no cooking or cleaning up to do, :) It must have been so nice to spend some time with Christopher, sometimes the older they get, the less we see of them, with demands on their lives and on our's. Hope he treated you to lunch, :). My son Chris called us yesterday, he could tell how sad I was when he left to go home, so he just called to say hello, and it really lifted my spirits. Our time spent with our children is so precious! That's a terrific idea to make a scrapbook and collages out of your Christmas pictures, memories made to last a lifetime. We video taped Christmas this year, something different, and I can watch it on our VCR whenever I want. Oh, thank you again for the kind words Deb, I'm glad too that God whispered in my ear to start this Circle, with all the wonderful, amazing moms I've come to know and love here, I pray each and every day for all you moms on all these pages, because I know how strong the power of prayer is! I look forward everyday to coming to the Circle too, and if I've been helpful to you it's through Our Lord working through me, to help all of you. I love you all, and all of you have been a big blessing to me too! Gosh yes, wouldn't it be nice to have a Reunion, finally see each other in person, what a beautiful event that would be! Thanks to Selva for suggesting it! I am thankful to you all, Deb, and I know that Our Lord has blessed this Circle of love. My brother came by and brought me sunflowers's seed to plant at the litttle garden we built for Solange, she loved sunflowers, hee just left and now my sister and I are watching football (she loves it) I don't understand it very much but it keeps my mind busy. Thank Sandy for visiting Solange memorial, you are such a sweet Angel. You know that I pray for you all and for all our children everyday. Verna Happy Anniversary,we have our 43 in May.deborahpoo thankk you for all the uplifting prayers and poems,love to 2and Selvan may the lord be with both of you. Hazel I'm so sorry about your loss on 8/14/2000, we lost are oldest son (39 to cancer and our youngest 20 was hit by a train)11/15/2000 and 10/08/1993.They say it gets easier but this yaer for all of was a deep pit, I spent 2 days in bed,that is not the norm though.Sandy you and several of the others make this a circle of love.I see we now have 101 pages we are sure growing. Hi Deb, well that was really nice of your son to treat you, what a nice thing for him to do for his mom! Yes, I was very happy to hear from my Chris yesterday, and today he called me to ask how to cook a ham, :) You're so right, our children do know us much better than we think. Digital pics are great too, then you can send them over the net, to other family and friends. So you woke your hubby up with the banging, Deb, :) but I bet he loved the picture that you'd already framed and hung. Yes, it sure would be terrific to meet all someday. Hi dear Selva, I'm so happy that you're feeling a little better today. That was really nice of your brother to do that, sunflowers are so beautiful, with their big stalks and big yellow flower heads, they're bright and sunny and will be beautiful in Solange's Memorial Garden. That's a wonderful way to honour Solange's life and spirit, I know she'll be visiting her garden. Yes, I know, football on today, ugh, I'm not a fan but my son is, when he called today he told me of all the games that were on. As you say, it keeps your mind busy and if that helps then it's a good thing! Oh, you're welcome sweetie, it suddenly came to my mind to post at your site, I'm happy you liked it. Thank you dearest Selva for your prayers for all of us and our children, and you know that our prayers are with you and Solange everyday too. I'm so very happy that you found this Circle, yes, I thank God for it too, just as it's therapeutic for you, it's also therapeutic for me. We're all here to help each other, the way Our Lord intends us to be, drawn together in the common bond of losing a child/children. It truly is a Circle of Love, and you and the other amazing moms help to make it that way! Oh sweetie, who could blame you for being in a deep valley over Christmas, losing one child tears your heart apart, but you've lost your two precious boys, and I truly don't know how you cope with it. You must have a very strong faith, and I ask Our Lord to lift you out of the valley and wrap you in His loving arms, that you'll have peaceful days ahead. YES, we are now on page 101, it's certainly grown, I remember the first page, and never dreamed that it would get this big. Dear Heavenly Father, ~ Thank You for answering our heartfelt prayers! I already knew
that You would. You always do. :) That is why we must never forget to pray. When we
spend time praying for others, we also receive the blessings of joy in our own inner spirit.
Thank You God, for always being there ... For listening .. when we cry out to You
whether in anger and despair or in thanksgiving and praise. Thank You for loving us
unconditionally ... We love You, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray ... Amen

Good Morning Angels Moms! ~ May God bless and keep each and everyone of you in His
loving care. I am feeling the joy and peace of answered prayers! It never fails ... When
we go to God in prayer, just as we are, He always comes through for us. Isn’t it good to
know that God is in the mist of all of life’s trials! No matter what we are facing, God is
always standing by to help us deal with it. Just knowing this increases our faith in a loving
God no matter how angry we sometimes get under the weight of life’s crosses! We are
His children, and nothing can separate us from His love. And, for that, we thank Him!

The other day, shortly after I submitted my posts to Selva and Barb, I left home on a wing
and a prayer! :) It was to be my very first meeting with one of many perspective sponsors
for my book. I was in such an emotional state, I paused for a few moments and said a
very special prayer. Speaking in tongues, I asked the Holy Spirit to pray and ask God to
ease the pain in our hearts and give us a few moments of peace and relief from the grief
and pain and depression that so many of us were feeling throughout the holidays, as we
grieved for our children. I know my prayers were answered because when I clicked on
today, and began reading where I had left off, I could tell that everyone was in much
better spirits! So, I just smiled as I read all the wonderful post that everyone had
submitted, and I thanked the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for answering all of our prayers!
There is, indeed, such power in prayer!

Sandy ~ When I read your post to me about the seat belt, I laughed out loud. Thank you,
my friend, for the good advice. As I told Barb, I have taken your advice and started going
to bed at a decent hour on a regular basis for the last couple of nights. Still ... Each time I
recall your post to me, I can’t help but laugh out loud. Ha-ha! Thank you again, for
sending me a reason to laugh again!

How wonderful that your son Chris and his friend were able to come spend time with you
and hubby for during the holidays! Oh, how that must have lifted your spirits just to wrap
your arms around him again! I know it brought back many fond memories of days gone
by. As well as bitter-sweet memories of your beloved Shane as your both lit candles to
include him in the celebration of the birthday of our wonderful Lord and Savior, Jesus. It
brought on the tears though when I pictured you holding on to your child as he prepared
to depart. That must have been very painful to let go. :( But, I know the warm and sweet
memories of his visit will remain with you and hubby all year through. That was so sweet
of him to call to check on his dear mama. :) And, I just loved the part about him calling to
get your input on cooking the ham! :) I guess our kids will always be our babies, even
after they are all grown and out on their own, want they? And, I am sure most moms
would agree, we wouldn’t have it any other way! Ha-ha!

Selva ~ It filled my heart with joy to know that you are feeling less anger now. It broke
my heart to read about all the trials you have faced in addition to the loss of your precious
Solange. But, it lifted my spirits to know that you have the support of your family there,
and of course now, you have us as your extended family, to love, support, and pray for
you 24/7, as you continue on your grief journey. Also, Selva, I can’t thank you enough
for the gift you sent to me. I look forward to viewing the pages each day, and they do
help motivate me to face whatever lies in store for each day with a brighter outlook. God
bless you, dear one!

Deb ~ Oh how I wish I had started taking care of my physical health years ago. I
commend you for doing so. I am trying to improve in that area, but I still have a long way
to go. :) It made me happy to read of the good time you had with your son and his
girlfriend. :) And, yes, our kids do know how to wrap us around their finger, don’t they?
:) I just know he is the joy of your life. He sounds like a very caring son, and I am glad
you got to spend some fun time with him. I laughed out loud about your banging and
hanging the photos. :) Your husband sounds a lot like my David. I keep him shaking his
head about something, daily! Ha-ha!

Also, Deb, I feel in my heart and soul that things are going to work out for you and your
precious little granddaughter, Skyla... And, what a pretty name! :) I always remember to
pray for her, and I ask God to please touch the heart of Skyla’s mom, and that
unconditional love will abide in the hearts of all for Skyla’s sake. Like Sandy, I can’t
understand why she would not want to make you a part of Michael’s child’s life. Maybe
once she gets to know what a warm, caring, and compassionate person you are, like we
do, she will have a change of heart. I sure hope so, Deb.

JoeyRick(Peggy) ~ Thank you! ... And how wonderful to read that you and hubby will be
celebrating your 43rd wedding anniversary in May of 2003! My, the years seem to go by
so swiftly, don’t they? And every year, my hubby always ask what I want for “My” anniversary!
:) When I respond by acting as though I am really having a hard time deciding what I
want, he just shakes his head and walks away -- As I yell, “Hey, wait a minute ... I know, I
know! And that just cracks me up! :) This year, I ended up telling him I wanted a new
truck, which I knew he needed. :) And, with my daughter, Cheryl’s and her husband,
James’ help, we finally convinced him to get it. He has always put everyone else first. I
thank God every day for my wonderful husband. :) God bless you and yours as you look
forward to your 43rd wedding anniversary!

Hazel ~ I sure hope and pray that God has given you moments of peace during these holidays. Just remember that you and family are in our prayers!

Hi Deb, that was nice of Christopher to take you to the music store and then rent some movies for his mom, even though he might? have had a motive, ha, ha. Yes, our children forget that we once were their ages, and did the same thing to our parents, :) and do know them inside out! That's cute, and you and your hubby got to watch some movies together. I'm happy for you that you had a good day. That's so nice that your hubby liked the pictures, he appreciated all your work, that's sweet of him. NO, Chris never watched me cooking, wasn't interested, but he loved to eat what I put on his plate, :)
I'll have to call him after and find out how the ham went, :) I pray that today is another good one for you Deb, you're in my love and prayers,

Hi Peggy, I am SO happy to read that you're being lifted up out of the pits and have some peace! Yes, Peggy, I agree, we should be thankful for the time that God gave us with our children, but that doesn't stop us from missing them or stop the pain we feel. I am thankful to Him for giving me Shane for 24 years, and I know in your heart you're thankful too. We just plain miss them and always will. Hello Verna, nice to see you posting again! Your posts are always so heartfelt and filled with the joy of God in your life! I'm glad that brought a chuckle to you about the seat belt, we don't want you falling again, :). Glad to hear also that you're getting more sleep at night, that's wonderful and will help your health. Yes, it was so wonderful to have Chris home again, even though he's 31, once a mother, always a mother. And also nice to see my future daughter-in-law, :) I think he's going to ask her soon. Yes, it was very painful to see him leave, he lives and works in another city, so we don't get to see him as often as we'd like, so I treasure the times that we do spend together and he's a wonderful son, always calling home, sending e-mails, and always telling us how much he loves us. He misses his brother so much too, so that's why he decided to light one of the candles for Shane. Yes, ha, ha, he's always calling home when he's stumped on how to cook something, but as you say, I wouldn't have it any other way! A new truck for your Anniversary? That's wonderful! Hi Verna, Sandy, Deb, Peggy and all you wonderful moms; I woke up today again in an angry mood, but I prayed for all of us and I began to feel a little better after I cried my anger out. I started to help my sister with the daily choirs and now we'll be getting ready for "football" again, but today is a very important game for Miami Dolphins, so It will be very entertaining and loud. Hello dear Selva, I look forward to your posts everyday, to see how you're doing. I'm sorry you had a bad start to the day, but remember, anger is very normal, and I'm happy that after you prayed and cried it lessened for you, you were able to let it out, and even posting here helps you to let go of some of it. Yes, my Chris informed me this morning that it's football all day today, he's a big fan of the NFL, I don't know who he's pulling for today, but maybe it's the Dolphins! You have a good day cheering on your hometown team, hope they win for you! Thank you Selva for all your prayers for us, we appreciate them so much too. I WOULD NOT TRADE MY HUSBAND IN FOR ANYTHING. HE IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME. TIM AND I HAVE BEEN TOGETHER 19 YEARS BUT MARRIED FOR 9 AS OF JUNE 18TH. HE HAS PD FOR ALL MY COLLEGE CLASSES AND I DIDN'T GO TO WORK UNTIL THE BOYS WHERE IN SCHOOL FULL TIME. THIS IS HOW HE WANTED IT AND I WAS ABLE TO SPEND ALL THAT QUALITY TIME HOME WITH MY BOYS.
HAPPY TO HEAR ABOUT THE NEW TRUCK. TIM AND I WENT LOOKING AT NEW TRAILBLAZERS TODAY. WE WOULD LIKE A NEW ONE BEFORE WE GO TO MAINE & SOUTH CAROLINA IN FEB. WE WHERE TALKING ABOUT THAT TOO TODAY AS WE SPENT THE DAY TOGETHER. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE HE HAS GONE FOOD SHOPPING WITH ME AND IT FELT GOOD WITH HIM BY MYSIDE. I DECIDEDE TO MAKE A TURKEY DINNER AND WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS IT WILL BE DONE AROUND 6PM. I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE THE TURKEY IT'S ALMOST LIKE HAVING CHICKEN. THATS THE ONLY TWO MEATS I EAT. WE DID IT TOGETHER. SHE DID ALL THE SQUARES AND I DID THE SQUARES TO MAKE THE PILLOW CASES. I WANT TO GET IT TOGETHER FOR WHEN I OUR HOUSE IS DONE FOR IT WILL GO ON OUR BED IN THE NEW HOUSE. WE SHOULD BE IN IT FOR CHRISTMAS NEXT YEAR. I CAN'T WAIT.
