For those with chronic diseases and illnesses
Chronic Diseases Prayer Circle

This circle is for all who suffer with chronic diseases and disorders and in need of prayer and support from others.

There are many who are afflicted with chronic diseases such as lupus, MS, fibromylagia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and others, or may have children or other family members and friends who suffer with these conditions. The prayer circle can be here for the many ups and downs that come with these illnesses, as well as the tests that most have to go through when having a flare or time of activity in their symptoms. This can be a place to come for prayers when support is needed and also to give thanks and praise to God for remissions and times that we feel well.

Jesus, Man of Sorrows, in every suffering keep my eyes fixed on You. Let me keep ever before my mind the glory to come and so face the suffering with true Christian courage.

I have just discoverd this site and I think it's wonderful that although we don't personally know each other we can still love each other enough to pray for one another. I also have some health problems that have made me sometimes angry at the Lord and want to ask him "WHY ME". I feel as though I'm a good person who is faithful and goes to church and serves him. I've never taken drugs,drank, smoked or abused my body,so I couldn't understand. Deep down I know that there is a reason for everything and if we follow him,someday there will be nomore suffering or pain.I just try to live each day to the best. I have a few health issues,being degerative disc disease, migraine headaches,cronic sinusitis including allergies of which I'm on weekly shots for and I have yet to get releif. I'm on 4 migraine medicines(which don't always work) and I've been on antidepressant drugs for 3 years now-due to dealing with the pain. I also have to take pain medicines just to funtion. I've had several surgeries with no relief. I also deal with all the side effects from all the medicines I'm on. I have 2 daughters who are constantly let down when moms in too much pain to do things at times.Not to mention the stress of all the medical bills that we have,which makes me feel guilty because they are all from me. Theres one thing I have that I am so lucky to have and thats a wonderful loving husband who I've been with for 15 years and helps me the best way he can.Hes the best. We are very much in love. When I think of this, I know my situation could be so much worse. I know there are others who don't have the good relationship with their spouse's and also have to deal with illness.. Anyone who reads this-Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my problems and being willing to pray for me. I too will pray for others that I've read about on this site. IF THERE IS ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN E-MAILING ME OR HAVE ANY SIMILAR PROBLEMS YOU CAN DO SO. MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS: bluegill@defnet.com

God Bless you all- Karen35

I think I just happened on this site but I am so thankful that I did. Right now I am going through alot of medical tests and have just recently gotten out of the hospital with a severe staph infection. they are testing for lupus and various other things. My husband has been off work since July and is waiting on back surgery from a fall at work. I have 3 children and my prayer is to just thank god for all the wisdom he gives us and to praise him for never leaving our side no matter how far we try to run from him he always lets us come back no questions asked. I pray that for anyone here that is hurting will know that God promised he would never give us more than we can handle and so we have to trust him and i just praise the fact that we do have such a loving god. May god bless each and every one of you today and may you each have a good day. Just remember that tomorrow is never promised to anyone and so we should all live like it is our last.

Please keep us in your prayers. Also, pray for my Dad, who's making the adjustment to his new home with me. Also, Pray for my brother who is with me now also. He is terminally ill but his Hope is in the Lord! I'm the oldest of these guys, so when my Mom died, they became my kids. It seems we've come full circle. Pray our strength in the Lord.

Please pray for my Father. He is 83 and dying of Congestive Heart Failure. He is ready to go and be with His Father.We are with him everyday and he is always asking me to pray that the Lord will take him home. I don't want to lose him, but I know it's the right thing. He has had a wonderful life as a Missionary to Brazil, South America for 35 years. I don't want him to suffer. It breaks my heart. Please pray for my stepmother to be kinder to him.She is not very gentle with him and it kills us to see this. She profeces to be a Born again Christian, but doesn't show it with her actions. Pray for me and my 2 sisters and 1 brother to be strong through all this. May God Bless you all. In Christian Love, Debbie

My dear Prayer Circle Friends,
It has been a couple of rough weeks for me and I have not been able to write to you, but do know that my prayers and thoughts are with all of you. I see there are a number of new prayer requests and posts, and I want to welcome you to our Circle and to assure you that you have very loving and caring people here that are praying for you and your needs. My doctors have decided that my lupus condition has gotten out of control and that I am having to use far too heavy steroid dosage on a regular basis, and this could present a life-threatening situation; so, I am being referred to the Mayo Clinic to see if there are any new and advanced treatments that might work for me and keep me from being so heavily dependent on high steroid dosages. They could have gotten me in on the 1st of May; however, my son is getting married on the 28th of April, and I have to travel and stay at a hotel for the wedding, thus it would make it hard for me to get to the Mayo Clinic early on the 1st. They are working on the next available opening for me to come for a complete evaluation. I will let you know when this is going to be.
Alcore: It was so good to see you back on here and that powerful prayer for our Circle. There are so many big needs here and we surely all have to be prayer warriors for one another. Your petitions are in my prayers.

Debbie: I will be praying for your father, and also that your stepmother can be kinder and gentler to him. It must be very difficult for your whole family, so I pray that God blesses all of you and gives you the strength you need to help and support you father now.
If it be God's will, let him go peacefully and with those he loves around him.

Mary Beth: We all will be praying for you and that you can find some relief from the COPD. Please keep in touch with us and let us know how you are doing.

Drema: Your request for prayers for your stepmother and father will be in my prayers.

eeyoraus: Thank you for that lovely prayer.

krogers: Oh my, you do have many concerns right now, but your faith and spiritual strength is so apparent by what you have written. May God Bless both you and your husband and ease the trials that you are facing. Please let us know how the tests turned out.

Hi Karen:
Don't feel bad about getting angry at God sometimes. I think most of us who suffer chronically have had times that we feel the same. Why Me Lord? Well, I don't know why, but I do know that whenever I feel that way, God gives me an extra boost or dose of grace and strength, and most important - His love. I think you will feel that also - after being in the valley, you will come back up on the mountain top. That does not mean you will not have pain, but that God will give you what you need to cope with this all. I have had many of the same experiences, especially when it comes to chronic pain, and I don't think for a minute that I could cope or manage at all if I did not feel that God does care and love us, and that He will give us the grace we need at these very difficult times. Keep in touch with us here - as you have sisters and brothers in the Lord who care and will pray for you whenever you need prayer and support.

cuore: Thank you for your prayer, and we will keep your uncle in ours. Stay in touch.

Sherry: We will keep you and Dale's prayer requests in our prayers, and I sincerely hope that you can find relief from the pain.

lively: you are in my prayers.

BettyMed: Praise God that you have found something that is giving you relief from your symptoms. I hope that you continue to do so. Please keep us updated on how things are going. We will also keep praying for Donna

Cheryl: You are always in my prayers, and I hope you can get some relief from all the pain and discomfort. With all you have to cope with, your encouraging and uplifting posts here do so much to support others. God Bless You.

And God Bless ALL of my dear Prayer Circle Friends.

Love & Prayers,
Dolphin

sunshine45: You and your husband are both in my prayers. I have had many years of back problems, three operations, nerve blocks, and I now am in pain management which includes medication and a spinal cord stimulator implant. This has helped me quite a lot; however, I do know the power of prayer also and therefore I will surely keep you and your husband in my prayers daily. Please keep in touch and let us know how things are going.
Sunshine45, my prayer to God tonight is that you and your husband can find relief for the pain you both are having because of your back. May He put His healing hand on you and heal you so that you can continue your teaching and your husband can return to work. May you feel God's love and healing.

God Bless,
Dolphin

Thank you for this site and I join my prayers with those who use it. Special prayer requests of mine include my sister who has MS and is currently nursing her pastor husband who has just gone through open heart surgery and faces additional surgery. Secondly, my dear friend has just learned that her "spells" of low blood sugar are actually seizures and is now required to take a very strong medication which is depressing and confusing her. Both of these wonderful Christian women are being tested by God and I pray for their faith, acceptance, and continued good works. Praise God for His all knowing ways and love for us through every trial in life. Amen

Hello All;

Today I need some special prayers. I may have arthritis or bone density in my hips now. I just started learning to walk all over again since my heart attack in November of last year. I was afraid to put on my prosthetic leg because I haven't worn it since then. I have been getting very good therapy and making progress until the pain in my hips started. I had x-rays done, blood drawn and a bone scan. I am still waiting to hear from my doctor with the results. So please if you can, pray that it just may be nothing else that I have to add to my list of health issues. And if I am not asking too much, can you please also post your prayers on my site as well? I will keep you all in my daily prayers as well. Thank you and God bless.

Hi Keitz;

I too was on dialysis until I was blessed with a kidney from my younger brother in September of 1996. I know just what your husband is going through. It is a rough ordeal to get used to. But I had to keep thinking that I did want to still live just to keep on going. I have been through alot more since the transplant, but I thank the Heavenly Father for keeping me here. If you like, I have a web site that maybe your husband can read. It's all about my trials and tribulations dealing with my illnesses. You can email me at pezziepaddlesNY@webtv.net and I can send you the page from there or you can just go to "http://community.webtv.net/pezziepaddlesNY/MyLifeDealingWithMy

I will keep you and your husband in my daily prayers as well.

O Heavenly Father, please hear my prayers for Keitz and her husband. Keep them both strong and help them through these tough times as you have helped me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

Hi Dolphin;

Your son picked a great date to get married. That is when I will turn 38. I will keep you in my daily prayers that you can get a quicker appointment at the Mayo clinic. God does work in mysterious ways sometimes and he will hear our prayers for all of us. I do wish you and your family the best on your son's wedding day! The Heavenly Father will be shining down on you that day and helping you get through the service without a problem. Just go and enjoy the happiest day in your son's life like the proud dad that you are.

Lord please hear my prayers for Dolphin and his family. Shine on them always and keep them safe. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
