Garth is my newly found step-son who is serving time for five DUIs

Garth was separated from his father in a divorce 23 years ago. Garth made contact with his father, my husband, earlier this year. He initiated contact from jail where he has been serving time for 5, yes 5, DUIs.

Garth has been the victim of alcoholic parents and endured a childhood of neglect and abuse. He started drinking and drugging at an early age. He is now serving time in a "reentry" facility for 5 DUIs.

He says he has learned his lesson and welcomed God into his life. Yet he is still afraid of his impulsiveness and that he may get into trouble again after he is released in May.

He has a girlfriend who has two children waiting for him. He also now has us for support, but I am afraid he is still weak and vunerable to temptation. He is also now a felon so obtaining good employment once he is released will be challenging.

Garth has a good hear and needs everyone's prayers to straighten up and fly right for the rest of his days on earth. May he find and stay on the path that God has set for him.
