Step 11

May we all seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understand Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry it out.

I pray for all the still sick and suffering alcoholics.

O love of God, immortal Love,
Enfold all in thy ray;
Send compassion from above
To raise them all today!
In the fullness of thy power,
Shed thy glorious beams
Upon the earth and all thereon
Where life in shadow seems!
Let the Light of God blaze forth
To cut men free from pain;
Raise them up and clothe them, God,
With thy mighty I AM name!

I am a recovering alcoholic and will be 10 years sober this August. It has been God's strength and guidance that has helped me to change my life for the better and accomplish so much. To believe in Him is to believe in yourself. May the Lord bless all of you and give you the insight to see the courage you have had all along. Amen.

Lord Jesus
As the wife of an alcoholic I pray for everyone who has an addiction, whether it be to alcohol, drugs or whatever. I know that they are precious people and that they have a hard battle. I also know that You love them and will give them the strength that is needed one day at a time. I thank You Lord for their courage to reach out for help and I thank You Lord that You are there ready and willing to give this help. I thank You Lord Jesus that You will never leave them or forsake them. And I ask that You will set them totally free In The Name Of Jesus Christ, The Name that is above every name. Amen.
GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS.

Im always amazed that when we read the 11th step we don't see that it says ,We pray only for the knowledge of his will for us and the power to carry that out.
If we need more prayer we can use these four words....When we go to sleep, we should say Thank You, and when we wake we should ask for,Help Me.

As a girlfriend of an alcoholic/addict, going through AA and Al-Anon, I also would like to say a prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father, please help to take away the wanting, needing, and/or craving of alcohol/drugs in our friends all over the world. Lord, please remove it from their hearts, body, mind and souls. Please fill those spots with your love and kindness. Gracious Father, bless all that are battling this disease. Teach them how to ease their pains and burdens by drinking in your life, your power, and your will! As always, we pray these things through the name of your son, Jesus Crist, who died for our sins. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for blessing me with the gift of sobriety and the choice of recovery in my life. Sometimes I know by nature I may not seem as grateful as I should and for that I am sorry. I pray that those who are still suffering may also be blessed with your grace and love and know a new happiness and freedom. I know not what your will is for me today, but I will continue to trust that your plan is much better than mine ever was or ever will be. Amen
