I am sending a prayer request because my Dad has had a severe stroke and is fighting his way back.

My Dad suffered a stroke on May 31, 2009. The stroke was in his brainstem, and the doctors predicted that he would be partially or totally paralyzed. It is Sept. 19, 2009, and he is not giving up. Every day he is learning how to talk, walk, dress himself, swallow and eat. A great lover of books, he is unable to read because his eyes can't work together. I am amazed at his strength and positive attitude. His courage is inspirational. Please say a prayer for him and my wonderful Mom who is by his side every day to cheer him on.
