Soon-to-be ex-husband and family need prayers

I am in a bitter divorce and custody battle and I'm afraid that my soon-to-be ex-husband has lost his way. Please pray for him.

My husband is so distraught over our impending divorce I believe he has gotten lost in darkness. Rather than find a way for us to amicably decide about custody of our children and the splitting of our assets, he has let himself get sucked in by his lawyer to fight me for everything.

He is successful, but he says he will leave me in the street and take our children away from me. I have nothing in my life that would warrant that, and my lawyer assures me we will win a custody battle, but it’s expensive and my husband has cut me off financially. It's so bad that my car broke down and he won't give me money to fix it.

I pray not for things to go my way but for him to remember the kindness and lovingness in his heart. It is too late for us to get back together, but please pray for him to heal his anger and bitterness and make a decent life for my children and for me, but most of all, a life of happiness and tranquilty for himself.
Please keep our family in your prayers. Thank you so much.

Penetrate his hardened heart and soften it with Your touch. May Your Holy Spirit convict him to the point of repentance. I thank You that nothing is too hard for You. I thank You for being there to ensure that the kids don't suffer emotionally in spite of what's happening. Lord, I thank You for keeping "Mom-in-need" strong. I thank You that she cares enough to put out a prayer request for someone who has mistreated her in this fashion. That speaks volumes about who she is. I ask that You continue to bless her and may she find favor with You and with man. May Your perfect Will be done, in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen. 	scojoy0708 5/30/2009 18:50	Heavenly Father, I pray for this whole family, I pray that everyone involved in this situation be of good courage for divorce is never an easy matter. I pray Lord for the children who must be devastated and don't understand why daddy and mommy will no longer be together. Comfort, protect, and give them peace of mind that everything will work out for them. I pray Lord for both husband and wife that they both remember how much they once loved each other and now that love should carry over to the children. Help Theo to see that the end of this marriage is not the end of his life. Help him Lord to stay focused on the real issues which are his children's well being. Help him Lord to see that forgiveness is the only way and that to hold on to bitter feelings will only destroy him. Lord help Theo out of this dark and lonely place open doors that he can not see that he is full of life and bring him back to a place in his life that he remembers only love for his family. I pray in Jesus name Amen
