My older son suffers from bipolar disorder

Please guide me to understand & help my son!

Dear brothers found out June 9 that my older son suffers from bipolar disorder & has shattered my inner life. He was in Irak for a year & now lives with a good woman who takes care of him. Unfortunately he's upset with everyone in the family & has drawn apart from us.
Now I understand why he behaves the way he does. If any of you have a loved one that suffers from this condition and can shed some light & lets me understand/help him I'll be thankful. GOD bless u
