Newly Engaged Couple Dealing with Trust Issues

My boyfriend and I just recently got engaged and everything has been going great thus far. The only problem is that I have a hard time letting go of the past. Please pray for us so that our dear Lord may bless our heavenly union.

My Fiance and I were friends for 4 years before we got together and in those 4 years I knew that he had a tendency to be somewhat of a flirt. He was quite persistent and after 4 years we began dating. 3 months into our courtship, he proposed and I said yes. After knowing him for almost 5 years I knew that this was the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Because our courtship was so short and our engagement came so soon, he didn't exactly bring closure to past relationships he had with females. Although he never cheated, he still talked to females that were interested in him and who were shocked to find out that he was engaged. He finally brought closure to those relationships so that we may move forward with ours. However, I find it hard to let go of the past.I trust him but since this just recently happened, I'm having trouble moving on and not over analyzing everything and all his friendships. Please pray for us! Thank you & God Bless!

Dear Heavenly Father, please grant them grace and mercy to trust you and to pray together and stay in prayer and in your word. We know that there is no temptation that we cannot bear if we just stay prayerful and resist the devil. Please grant that they may always call on you in times of temptation and doubt. Help them to be the servants that you will have them to be, always bringing glory and honor to your name in all that they do and say. In Jesus name. Amen.

It sounds to me that, given how quickly things happened, both of you may just need more time to get used to this idea than anything. In any event, may God bless you guys!

First off the bible states that a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave unto his wife. This doesn't mean that both you and he will never have friends. You must ask Jesus to give you peace in his way for this relationship to be in his hands.Marriage is not to be entered into lightly.Call 1-800-759-0700 they will pray with you.I have been married for 29 years to the same man.It takes much unserstanding, love and prayer to God.You are one once married but you can still have friends.
