Yolanda King
Eldest daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King

Please join me in lifting up the King family in prayer for the death of Yolanda King--November 17, 1955 May 15, 2007.

Heavenly Father,

Be with the King family as they mourn the death of Yolanda. She was the oldest of the King children and you gave her the incredible assignment of using her gifting as an actress, author, producer and advocate for peace, to continue the work that Dr. Martin Luther King started. Let the memory of her be engraved in our minds for her good deeds. Comfort the family in the midst of their mourning. Give them the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Help them to dwell on the beautiful moments you gave them with Yolanda and help them to be comforted because she is going up to meet you. Help them to be strong for one another and surround them with your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
