Yolanda King
Eldest daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King

Please join me in lifting up the King family in prayer for the death of Yolanda King--November 17, 1955 May 15, 2007.

Heavenly Father,

Be with the King family as they mourn the death of Yolanda. She was the oldest of the King children and you gave her the incredible assignment of using her gifting as an actress, author, producer and advocate for peace, to continue the work that Dr. Martin Luther King started. Let the memory of her be engraved in our minds for her good deeds. Comfort the family in the midst of their mourning. Give them the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Help them to dwell on the beautiful moments you gave them with Yolanda and help them to be comforted because she is going up to meet you. Help them to be strong for one another and surround them with your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Oh what a Joyous reunion took place in the heavenlies on May 15th when Yolanda King went home to Heaven to join You and the other King family members who have passed. What a joyous event that was for her. What a blessing and a reward for Your faithful and loyal servant Yolanda. But, Father, we must not forget those who are still here and mourning her loss, so we ask that You give them comfort and ease the pain of their loss, dry their tears, reassure them in their grieve that the loss is just temporary until they are reunited again in Paradise. Grant this family support of friends and family, bless them to overflowing with financial, spiritual, and emotional wealth. Bring them all the Joy, Love and Peace they can handle so they can overcome their grief and replace it with wonderful memories, smiles and warm thoughts of their loved one who has passed. Giving Praise to You for the care, love and welcoming hand You extended to Yolanda when she came home. We give You all the Glory, Honor and Praise, Abba Father for the blessings You have and will bestow on Yolanda, her family and friends, and on us this day, present, past and future, and we bless You, Father God, with Joy, Peace and Love. Loving You with all our hearts and soul, Abba Father and giving Praise to Your Holy Name, Yahweh, we pray in the Name of Your Most Precious and Holy Son, Christ Jesus, Our Lord, Savior and King, Forever and Ever Shall He Reign. Amen, Amen and Amen.
