Teenage boy who is lonely

Prayers that a teenage boy finds quality friendships in his new hometown & is no longer lonely and sad.

Please offer a prayer for my teenage son Bill...we have recenly relocated & he is having some difficulty settling in & meeting other teenagers who have the same moral values as him. He has a slight disability & has been made fun at at school. He is lonely, idle & less social... a far cry from the young man we moved here. Please pray that he finds others to befriend who are of good moral fiber like he had in our old home town. Also that he finds a hobbie or school group he can feel comfortable in. Also please pray for those children who tease & make fun at those less fortunate, that they see the error of their ways & start to build thier own self so as not to put down others. Pray that I as a parent am guided by the Lord to assist him as needed, I feel at loose ends & tears flow easily. I just want him to be happy as he was prior to our move. He is a wonderful young man who needs prayers that others see that in him as well...he is worthy of great friendships.

Your mother describes you as such a wonderful boy..so many others must see this in you. Everday take a step towards becoming more outgoing. A smile to another will bring 20 back to you. I know this is a very difficult time for you but you will rise above this. God has planned such a wonderful journey for you..please see his light and enjoy the path. I am sorry that other children make fun of you for your disability..my guess is you probably do not have one. You see when I was younger I lived with scar marks on my face as I grew older they diminished probably not because they physically did but because the less I paid attention to them and learned to smile the less anyone noticed them. The world is a wonderful place, and our journey is so short, please go forward with God's love and light..many people are counting on you, guiding you and walk with you with much love. May god bless you young man...you will be blessed in this life, and we are blessed to have you!!!

	nora_moonbeam 3/25/2001 21:37	i don't know what it is like to be made fun of for having a disability, but i do know what it's like to be looked down on for being different. i also know that no matter where you are, there are always people who think like you, and will accept you and love you for the person you are. keep your faith, and you will be blessed. i am not of your faith, but please know that i am praying to the divine that you and your mother will feel divine love and comfort.

Please know that those around you that are making things difficult will ultimately face their own demons. They will have to deal with what they have done wrong. 	a.dev 4/9/2001 17:34	In times of trouble I like to remember this prayer... One night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with God, and across the sky flashed scenes of my life. For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonged to me and the other to God. When the last scene of my life flashed before us I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at times along the path of life there was only one set of footprints. I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of my life. This really bothered me and I questioned God about it. "God, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way, but I noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why in times when I needed you most, you would leave me." God replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and would never, never leave you during your times of trials and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you." Anon

	Roox2 4/10/2001 22:26	I too have a disability that makes it difficult for me to make friends. Although, my schooldays are long behind me, I can still recall the pain and hurt that comes from being taunted by my peers. I'll pray that he'll find a group of friends that have good morals and that will accept him for who he is. I know to well the pain of feeling alienated from one peers.

	kathykat1 4/21/2001 10:14	Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that you be a beacon of strenght and understanding to this young man. Help him overcome whatever may come his way. Let him know that he IS NOT ALONE and that there are many many people that feel exactly like him. Let him remember what your son felt like when he was carrying his own cross and having people say horrid things to him and throw things at him, all he could say was I forgive and love you. Remember that and let it be a shining example to him in his daily life. Help him find a christian group of teens that he can identify with and have fun to release him to the person you have made him to be. Bless him and lift up his mother so she may be able to handle this with the holy spirit in her heart. In my Lord and Saviors name I pray.. Amen

Help him understand that in time things will change. Until then, hold him safe in your arms and protect him from the hurt that life sometimes brings. I pray for this young man as I pray for my nephew whose life has been in chaos for so long.

	moonliner 5/4/2001 13:45	As the mother of 4 boys (3 now grown), I understand how you feel. Keep encouraging and praising him, and actively seek out companionship for him. - sort of like 'jump starting' - of course, keep your efforts as quiet and unobtrusive to him as you can. I trust that God is - right now - answering our prayers for Bill. Also, I pray for you to continue in love and patience and support for him. Amen
