*Employee Adoption Assistance Benefit Programs

Many employers will help with costs by reimbursing adoption expenses with a cash benefit of up to several thousand dollars. If your employer does not offer this benefit, call Adoption and the Workplace at the National Adoption Center (800-862-3678) for materials to guide you in requesting adoption assistance from your employer

Publishes a comprehensive booklet, "How to Make Adoption an Affordable Option" which can be ordered free of charge by calling 719-948-4000 and asking for item #602-E. This booklet can also be downloaded from the Internet at www.nefe.org

We adopted twins from Vietnam, and I certainly understand the financial implications of such an endeavor. Our churh was instrumental in help raise funds for a portion of our expenses, the US gov't offered their Adoption tax credit, and the other was through the love of Christ, that he provided the way. I pray for your road to a family, to be a smooth and happy trip. Please remember that the best road is the narrow road (Matthew 7:14), and that you will be challenged to take it, but the rewards will be endless.

My wife and I went through the countymental health agency. Cost was next to nothing except for a basic will draw up by a lawyer. Even thow this is not a prayer our prayer was answered this way 20 years ago and it's been a wonderful life, he has been our life. Thank you near God.

10 years ago, I adopted a little girl, she was 2 years old, through Social Services. The cost, $500. That's all, and for the first year the county paid me as a Foster Parent. There are so many little children that need homes, babies are so precious, yes indeed, as I was blessed with 2 births after the adoption. The lessons I have learned are: In God's time, in God's will, and sometimes, what I want so desperately, is not exactly what God has planned for my life. Now, I have 3 beautiful children. I will pray for you to have a solution on your problem. I encounter same problem fourteen years before but God answers prayer in his right time if we are patiently waiting and will abide in his will..

I pray that this couple will be blessed with a child who will be raised by an obviously loving family. May they find a child who touches their lives.

I pray that by now you are in the process of adopting and have found some financial help. But as some others have suggested you may ask your church, or The National Adoption Foundation, also you may want to become foster parents first then adopt. My friend does this. He and his wife have now adopted 3 beautiful children. They are still foster parents as well but I will ask him for any agencies that helped them.

I too was in your situation. I had paid an agency over $20,000 and they swindled me. At first I blamed God, then I prayed. God lead me to become
a Foster parent and now I am an adoptive Mom. No cost to me and the rewards have been ten fold! Parenting an older child is a challenge but it is so rewarding. Let go and let God lead you.

I pray that by now your dreams have come true my husband and I are adopting 2 little boys 4 and 8yrs we were fortunate enough to have autumn come to our home for 1 week we are foster parents we have fell in love with her and are trying to see if she can be freed for adoption she was 2lbs at birth now weighs 13lbs is delayed but otherwise healthy she has come along way we need your prayers that god will grant Autumn the chance to join our family we adopted our boys from our local cps derartment and it didnt cost us nothing there are so many precious children out there that need a loving home and a chance at knowing what a good life can be like we are still foster parents and wouldnt change our way of life for nothing just knowing that we make a difference in a childs life good luck INGRID & GENE

I pray that your dreams of adopting and getting the financial help to do so have come true. We have adopted 3 beautiful children. We are wanting to adopt more. We have run into the financial burden also. It is very expensive. Any prayers for financial support would be helpful. Also prayers for the understanding of others. Some people feel we have enough children and should be grateful and others feel that if we want to adopt they should not have to help with the costs. I just wish they would understand that God has called us to this and we have the room in our hearts but we don't have thousands of dollars laying around. thanks for your prayers and thoughts. I pray that you are able to fulfill your dreams of becoming parents. My husband and I have four children, two adopted from India and Korea. International adoption can be less expensive than domestic private adoptions in many cases. We did a lot of fundraising for both of our adoptions, and also took out an adoption loan. Our two adopted children both had a physical difference, and so their fees were also reduced. Our daughter was born without arms, and our son was born without forearms. They are both happy, healthy children who would have had a very restricted life in their birth countries. There are many things that are considered special needs, including correctable conditions or even birthmarks. You may consider praying about what you are willing to accept in a child, or if you are open to a child who is a different race. There are some domestic programs that have african american programs with reduced fees. Sadly, their is a shortage of adoptive parents for these infants, and the costs I have seen are between 9-12,000. I pray that God will lead you to the child who is waiting for you.
