Still searching for my true vocation and purpose!

I have been struggling for some time now, unsure of what vocation best suits me and my desire to help the world.

I left a job in the medical field about 2 years ago feeling very overworked and highly stressed. I loved the care that I was able to give to the patients of the practice, but very unhappy with the work enviroment. The doctors that I worked for had very little respect for their patients. Money was the true objective. I have since tried a couple of different work situations that haven't been right for me. I am a very devoted Mom and wife and carry a tremendous amount of guilt when I am expected to chose between work obligations and the health and welfare of my children. I take my work very seriously and don't like to feel like I am letting anyone down, boss or children. I am currently at home unemployed and to scared to make another bad choice of jobs. I used to be a very strong person who knew what they wanted and went for it. Now I don't even know what I want. Please pray that the Lord will bring clear to me what I am meant to do. Thank You!

	searching4 4/30/2001 11:50	God has created each of us with a purpose. Our job is to find that purpose. I can appreciate your circumstances because my older daughter is in law school and feels drawn to public interest law, working with those who cannot afford legal assistance. My younger daughter will begin college in the fall and does not yet have any idea about which career she would like to follow. I offer a prayer for you that is the same as that which I offer for them: God the Creator, who formed us in your image, grant that all who seek the Guidance of the Holy Spirit will be granted their request, that they may find the purpose for which they have been created so that they may serve You and their fellows.
