Manuel Zuniga
He has small cell cancer and is terminally ill.

I would like prayers and comments on how my husband and I can cope with this situation.

We are looking for any suggestions or comments on how we can cope with this situation. I am also wanting to be able to help my father-in-law with his illness and help my mother-in-law handle things after the loss. My father-in-law is fading fast and we are unsure how long it will be before he rejoins his father in heaven.

I am just looking for a little bit of support because my husband is taking this very hard.

My father-in-law and mother-in-law are firm Catholics and they believe in the Lord as their father and savior. Please pray for all of us so that we can help him deal with his pain.

Dear Precious One
Jesus Christ, The Son Of The Living God, is the only One who can truly help you and you husband cope with this situation, and your mother-in-law as well. I don't know if your father-in-law or any of your family know Jesus as personal Savior and Lord, but this is where true peace and comfort really begins. If you believe in Jesus, The Son Of God, then death is only a shadow that we pass through. And there is eternal life and joy on the other side. But without Jesus then there is much to fear because there is eternal torment.
I donot say this to bring fear or hurt but because the truth will set you free.
Jesus loves you all very much. So much that He gave His life to pay the price for your sins, that all who will believe and receive Him by faith will have forgiveness and eternal life in Him.

If you have any questions or need someone to talk too e-mail me at Doves1@beliefnet.com

Lord Jesus, I lift up to You this precious family and their needs to You right now. Father God, I ask You to shine the light of Your truth upon them. Help them to see that You donot give the spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. Help them to see that sickness and death donot come from You but it is a penalty for sin that begin with Adam and Eve, but because of what You did at Calvary when You took our place and paid the price for our sins we can have eternal life with You without pain, heartache, and sickness. And that there will never be any more death. Help them to see that we just move from this body to a new one that is far better. Jesus please bring peace to these precious hurting people. I thank You for hearing and answering our prayers. In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen.

Lord, I pray that you give this family the strength and the courage to look into the face of adversity with hope. Surround them with your never ending love and give them peace as they struggle to find answers. Give them guardian angels to look over them and hold them up when things look dark and doubtful.

You are not alone. My sister struggled with a very rare form of cancer and after treatment and prayers, has been cancer free for almost five years. It was a difficult time for her and her family, but the love of God prevailed. He gave us the tools to accept his will and the strength to have hope.

GOD BLESS YOU!

I wanted to write you as my son John died last year of Lucmia It was the hardest time of my life and if byou need support you can fmail me any time. The comfort I have is in knowing he is with the Lord, but I still don;t understand but I know God know more than I do and I have to trust that. My son was 37 he has five children we were all deviststed. But I wanted to tell you something that happened when he was in the hospital. He had a terrable death he went in the hospital a strong healthy man you couldn't tell he was even sick but the Docters told us all if he didn't have this bone marrow transplant he wouldn't live more that three to five years. so he decided to do it everthing that could go wrong did. he fell in the hospital an had to have brain surgery then one thing after another whatcing my son die was the worst thing any mother could go through it mad me know how Mary must have felt as they took Jesus to the cross. But as my son layed in that hospital bed for two months dying (it is hard for me to write this through the tears)He was all swollin because of all the IV s of medications they were putting into him I was trying anything to help he was suffering so but he was so carages he was having me and his brother hold up his hands so he could praise the Lord a I stated to rub some lotion on his feet and he said no he could barly talk as his toung was srivald up to nothing, so I said whatthe matter he said it makes my feet to slippery and if there is a fire I have to beable to get up and save the baby's. My heart broke as he couldn't even hold his head up. He would say to me hold my head up like when I was a baby. So I wanted to tell you anout my son John so if it is time for your son to go tell him to look up my John he'll look over him. could you also ask him to tell my John how much I love him. I am so sorry for your hard times.
Remember God loved us enought to let his son die for us.
I know there are know words to make iy OK Just know you are not alone.
My prayers are with you.

I wonder whether your father-in-law is still with you, or if he has gone to his maker in Heaven. LOVE is the answer to your questions. And it is apparent to me and to God that he was well loved by you and his family. Just by being there to do whatever you did - big or small - was what your father and mother-in-law needed. You are a kind, caring, loving daughter-in-law who wants to comfort her husband and his precious family. I have no doubt in my mind that you have done, and are doing just that. You are a witness to our Heaveny Father who takes care of all of us. In his precious name I lift you and your family, and Manuel up to our creator to watch over and guide you as you proceed in your faith journey.
