My husband of 35 years

Prayers are needed for my husband who has turned away from God right after the death of our 25 year old son Gabriel took his life. I ask for prayers that he find his faith again and ease his pain at our loss.

Our son Gabriel took his own life on April 20, 2005 and my husband pulled life support on May 4th. My husband quietly sobbed and said "..oh my God, I lost my boy".

We didn't know Gabriel was diagnosed Manic Depressive/Bipolar Schizophrenic. Wonderful son and father of 2 babies he kept his demons to himself battling them alone. Going through his wife's 2 years of chemotherapy for cancer, the birth of his premature daughter and working day/night to keep his spirits up and home intact. After the Memorial Service where 300+ people attended my husband stopped going to church, praying or mentioning it again.

I ask for prayers that God help my husband regain his faith and to know that our son is with his Father in heaven and in good hands now - free from demons and torment. He had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. I also ask for prayers for his girls Emilee & Lilly that they remember their Daddy with the wonderful love he showered on them.

	cet4me 7/24/2006 09:44	Oh my Heavenly Father, I pray right now that you would work in John's heart and order his steps back to you. I pray that you would move in his life to bring him back to you. I also pray for Gabriel's wife, Lord let her know she is not alone she has you. I pray that you would help her to serve you and help her Lord to train her children, Emilee and Lilly to live for you and serve you. I pray that they will trust you as their personal Savior at a early age. Love bless this family and draw them near to you. I pray for GabrielsMom to also just be the loving wife that you would have her be. Lord I pray this in your Holy Name, Amen. GabrielsMom you are in my prayers.. I to have been going through some struggles, Nothing like loosing a son to death, but a husband that is unsaved and not knowing Christ is pretty bad too.. 	aimeert 11/10/2009 09:52	Hello. I was a friend of Johns. We met at Central & continued our friendship through Mel High. I am so sorry about all that is happening with your family. I miss John very much...loved by so many for being such a warm heated perosn... he is a wonderful soul & will always be loved. I wrote a poem for him... I was told it was presented to you at the Reuion. I hope this is true. John Gabriel is always in my heart & prayers... I will include his father. I have been dreaming with John lately... now coming aross this page.. I know why :) Much Love to you and your family. My prayers will always include you. You were always talked about with so much Love! that I am sure never changes, no matter where our spirit is. God Bless.
