Mother of triplets and handmaiden of God, Cheryl is beloved of those who know her. She suffers from a congenital heart defect.

Cheryl's heart defect has become chronic and is causing liver failure. Due to an anomaly of the heart, or a deformity, transplant is very unlikely, since the donor heart would have to have the same anomaly. Cheryl's prognosis is not good.

Her most recent hospitalization has left her weak and disoriented due to elevated levels of ammonia and high biliruben. She is presently at home trying to recuperate some strength, and waiting for a turn on a liver by-pass machine, which will help restore her liver and buy her some time. Cheryl's options are limited because of the deformity of the heart. She has had 10 different surgeries, and 8 separate NDE's (Near Death Experiences) since the age of 16. Her case has been mentioned in one of the books written by P.M.H. Atwater, the celebrated researcher who first studied the phenomenon of NDE's.
