Kidnapped in Iraq

Pray for the Safe Release of the Christian Peacemakers Team Held Hostage in Iraq--Now Threatened With Death

Four members of the Christian Peacemaker Teams were kidnapped in Baghdad, Iraq, on Nov. 26. They are Tom Fox, 54, of Clearbrook, Virginia; Norman Kember, 74, of London, England; James Loney, 41, of Toronto, Canada; and Harmeet Singh Sooden, 32, a Canadian living in Auckland, New Zealand.

The Swords of Righteousness Brigade has threatened to kill the men if their demands are not met by Saturday, Dec. 10th. They are calling for the release of all prisoners in U.S. and Iraqi-run detention centers, according to a Dec. 2 al Jazeera broadcast.

Numerous Muslim groups in the Middle East and elsewhere have called for the release of the hostages.

Please send your thoughts and prayers for their safe return.

**Update 3/23/06**

Norman, James and Harmeet have been rescued! Join us in prayers of thanksgiving.
