A Former Soldier Has Been Forgotten...

This Veteran has been consistently rejected for dental work, and needs his teeth fixed!

A local homeless man had served our country, was wounded, and honorably discharged over 25 years ago. He now is in need of serious dental work. However, after jumping through every hoop the VA required, he continues to be delayed. He talked about wanting to get his teeth fixed, and his eyes welled up with tears. He told me how his life had taken a downward turn after being discharged and that after awhile he gave up. He started drinking, and was surrounded by others who seemed to perpetuate a negative energy that was infectious. He told me he wakes every morning saying the Serenity Prayer, and how much it helps him get through each day. If this story moves you as it does me, then please remember John in your prayers so that he might get help in having a healthier mouth!

Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive us of our sins. Please bless John and guide him to a University that gives free dental care. Please bless John with peace in his heart knowing that we do care about him and have not forgotten him or the contribution he has made to the United States. Please bless John with the knowledge that there are many ways we all care for our Veterans not just the VA alone. I ask for this in Jesus name, amen.
