My Only Son Sitting In Jail Waiting To Be Sent To The Penitentiary

As Christians, we are to love and pray for each other. This is what I'm asking you to do; not only for my son, but for the men and women that are locked up in penitentiaries through out America. Jesus loves them just as much as he does us.

My son, Leonard, is one of thousands that's headed to a Department of Corrections Facility, and usually for good reasons: breaking man's law. His crimes were for stealing items that he could sell to buy drugs. He is an addict. He's also a born-again Christian and has recommitted his life to God. His court date is coming up soon, and he could get five years in the pen. Please, pray that God will intervene and get him a reduced sentence. Five years is a long time to pay for an addiction that's already cost him so very much. No matter how long he's in jail, I'd appreciate prayers for his safety and well being. And, while you are praying for Leonard, remember the other people in prisons and their families -- they need to be lifted up to the Lord also. 	LindaLou58 10/19/2005 09:31	Father God, I come boldy to Your throne to ask that You have mercy on Leonard. You know the reasons why he is in jail, and You have the power to change his future. I'm not asking for You to get him out of this mess, he is guilty of the charges against him and should be punished accordingly. What I'm asking is that You soften the heart of the Judge and open his ears to hear my son's plea for mercy. Leonard is a good man Lord, even when he's on drugs. He's never hurt anyone but himself. He's kind-hearted, and gently -- he loves his family dearly, and hates that he's let us down so many times. Lord, Leonard has given You control of his life again; knowing You want what is best for him. Watch over him, protect him from harm. When he gets depressed and lonely, comfort him. I love you, Jesus, and I thank You for my son. I've cried many tears for him, and it breaks my heart to know that he is in jail and will be locked up for years to come. I can't even go visit him, he's too far away. But, that's okay as long as I know You can visit him anytime He wants You to. One last thing, Lord, thank You for prison ministries. They bring hope and salvation to the ones that desire it. Bless those that share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those incarcerated. I also lift up to You, Johnnie, my pen-pal that is in a Texas prison . . . help him with his studies; he said biology is really hard to learn. Take good care of him -- he Loves You, Lord. Thank You for hearing my prayers, and I know You will answer them if I've prayed in accordance to Your will. I give You all the praise and glory. Amen!

If you know of someone in prison or jail that you think would like to be introduced to the one and only SON of God, get their name and call a Pastor in your area and let them know who that person is. ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART AND BE YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR -- it's that simple. What do YOU have to lose? Think about it! Eternity in Heaven or Hell? YOUR CHOICE!!!

Strengthen their will and courage to face their everyday struggles. Show them Your love and comfort them. Pour out Your blessings on this family. Bless their finances so that they can afford to pay their bills and enjoy life. Bless Leonard G's employment endeavours, it will/can be difficult getting and keeping a job once you've been in prison. Bless this family with good friends, surround them with kind and encouraging people. Heal their bodies and minds of whatever ails them, make them well and whole again. Thank you Lord.
