Recovering Alcoholic

I am a grateful, recovering alcoholic with one and a half years sobriety. I truly feel God's urging for me to witness to and serve others suffering from alcoholism.

God has sustained my life; He has brought me to a place of peace after 16 years of my active drinking. I pray many, many times a day that God help me to be of use to Him and to do His Will. I struggle, too, and falter, but I know that if I do all things necessary to be a vessle for God's will, I and others like me can be of use. I humbly ask for prayers for the millions of women and men who are suffering from alcoholism, and their loved ones; that their journeys will be touched by God's grace. May those who have the calling to touch others, through God's guidance, be up to the task, no matter how frustrating or painful. May each alcoholic come to know God's ways, God's loving power, and His peace. I pray for God's strength, to help another alcoholic who is still lost, suffering, or beginning recovery. Thank you for your prayers!
