Hate and Divorce after 9 years

This prayer circle is mainly for folks who are divorced and having a tough time getting over the bitterness and hatred of the departing partner.

I was married for 15 years to what I thought was the most mentally abusive man alive. We lived in a 4-room log cabin that had no doors inside, even to the bathroom. The only heat was a woodstove. When we first bought the place, it had an outhouse. I made him install inside plumbing (a toilet and a shower/tub) before I'd move my 3-year-old daughter and myself in. The last 2 years of our marriage I spent paying all the bills so he could save his money to furnish an apartment for him and his girlfriend (later wife) to move into. The thing is I still find a hatred in my soul for both of them. I truly accept Christ as my Saviour but He will not accept me until I love everyone. We share a daughter and now a granddaughter. How can I overcome this terrible hatred that has eaten my life since 1996?

Mighty Father in Heaven thank you so much for all we have been blessed with for all things come through you. Please bless Kathy and help her during this time to forgive those that have troubled her in the past. Let her know in her heart that all things,even those things that are impossible in ourselves, are possible through you. Lord please touch her heart to extend foregiveness just as you have given us forgiveness. I know she will be the one to feel truely blessed when she can finally do this for herself and for you, Lord. In Jesus name amen.
