Prayer Circles

May our Lord protect His servant John and ease the worry of his parents. May God use John for the good of skill and bring him safely back to his family.

John, we are proud of you too. May God bless you and keep you safe.

May the Lord protect and keep you, and all who are sent in harm's way.

May our Lord protect John and all he serves with. Should John sail into harms way, may the sea be calm, the winds fair, and may the grace of our Lord aid John in doing his duty, to God and country the way I am sure sure John expects to be expected to do. God bless John and his family.

May Allah the merciful, the compassionate, keep John safe and return him with honor to his family when his duty to his country is done.

May God fill John with his heroic spirit and protection, so that John may better serve his country and his Lord.

May God guide your hands with compassion in your duties, and may God guide you home safe to your family when your service to country is done.

May the Divine watch over you, and the Marines you will be caring for, during your tour in Iraq, and may the Divine return you to your family whole.
(They don't have a "Flaming Martini" for the UU, dang it!)

John, keep in touch with your family as much as you are able. The communications exchanged wil serve as a much needed touchstone. I pray that God will watch over you, and keep you safe.

Father, thank you for the brave men and women who work for good and against evil in our world. May you shower and refresh those heroes with blessings and increased faith and hope daily as they walk and work in your name.

Please give the loved ones who remain at home the strength to endure the absence of a family member, the peace in knowing that we are ALL in your capable caring hands, and the wisdom to pray for our enemies (that they would turn from evil ways).

For John especially, please equip him in EVERY way. May he return home to give his testamonies of your goodness in his life. AMEN!

John has been assigned to the First Marine Division in Camp Pendleton, where it is anticipated he'll be assigned as a medic for a Marine Rifle Platoon. He is currently undergoing Marine Field Familiarization Training.

He has not spoken to us since November because of a family tragedy. I pray he does not conmtinue to hold a grudge whn it is possible he'll be going to Iraq.

Please continue to pray for John.

I am happy to report that the breach is sealed.

John continues to train at Camp Pendleton and will deploy to Iraq in six months. Please continue to pray for John.

John, I haven't told your mother yet that your orders were changed from al-Asad to Fallujah - it will just upset her needlessly.

I pray you get to stop by and see us before you leave, and have the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving or Christmas with us.

You're not in Iraq yet! My prayers are that circumstances that require you to deploy will change, not the least of which is that our President will finally gain wisdom in this whole Iraq fiasco.

As your deployment date approaches I know you are feeling tremendous stress and isolation. Please remember that you are NOT alone. God is with you. God is looking over you. All you need do is ask and God will be there to fill your spirit with strenth when you need it. You know your Mom and I pray for you.

I would like to add my prayers with the other prayers for you. I pray for the angels to go before you to prepare your way, behind you to cover your back, beside you on each side to keep you company and keep you with support and friendship, above you to remind you of Creator and Creators constant love for you, and below you, that you will not fall or stumble into despair or fear. May your time pass quickly in the dangerous zones, and return to safe zones immediately. May the lessons you need to learn come easily to you. May you feel the embrace of Creator around you whenever you feel lonely or nervous. and know that the Creator understands the desires of your heart. So keep your thoughts and desires pure of heart. May you be blessed in all your journeys.

Son John deployed to Iraq today.

He mustered at 0300. My wife and youngest son got to see him off. The 1st Marine Division had breakfast for the families of departing marines. At 0830, John had to leave Arleen and brother Chris for final muster and boarding of the buses for the 1st Rgt, 1st Marine Division.

I didn't get to go, as I had school today. I did get to talk with him briefly on the phone where we said our goodbyes and I love you's.

1st Regt, 1st Mar Div. flew out of March AFB at 1100. First stop is Germany (refuel), then a one day layover in Kuwait. He and his regiment will then board buses for the drive to the Marine Base at Camp Fallujah.

He returns in 15 months.

God, please keep John in Your Loving Hands, and protect him, spiritually as well as physically, while he is over there, and always.
