Police Officers, Probation, Parole and Corrections Officers!

Law enforcement Officers put their lives on the line, work under strenuous conditions and need prayers of protection.

We are faced with a lack of respect for law enforcement. The police, corrections, probation and parole officers are the ones that protect and keep our communities from falling apart. We have to be on everyday with little thanks and under difficult conditions. People do not appreciate these behind the seens heroes that put their lives on the line everyday.

Officers face discouragement, frustration and depression when you fight against a tide of crime which involves everything from public disorder to domestic violence. Instead of seeing the officer as a help, people are suspicious and even disrespectful towards them. Yes, some may abuse the power, but most officers love their jobs and work hard every day.

Recently my department was devastated by retirements and death of key manager. We are working with very little staff and difficult conditions. Please pray that God may keep our officers safe and give them peace.

	peace37 4/1/2001 21:17	Dear God, I have walked on both sides of the emotional fence of law enforcement. On one hand I have a son who is currently in the police academy. On the other I have a son who has been ruthlessly attacked by an unjust legal system concerned more about wins than justice. I still however have a deep respect for anyone who can do the job. Especially those who remain human and treat the convicted as people not animals. Please God give them strength to remain fair, knowledge to remain safe, and peace in their hearts so they will never forget they deal with people who have feelings, who love and are loved. Dear God, bless them and the requester of this prayer. In Jesus name I pray.
