May God bless all of those who have passed on to the afterlife, and may he grant strength and peace to the survivors of friends, loved ones, and countrymne and woman. May those who are capable reach out in this time of need, to help by whatever means they may...be it money, prayer, and or physical help...God Bless All

May those affected by this tragedy quickly be freed of all suffering by my merits and the compassion of others. Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha. May Tara swiftly aid the devastated and may all beings show their kindness at this time.

I pray for understanding as to why did God allow, or cause this to happen?

People don't need prayers, as much as they need money to go to agencies so that medicines, blankets, tarps, food and water etc can be purchased locally (where possible).

We need warning systems established for all oceans, and we need public education that earthquake can mean tsunami.

I pray that people don't substitute a prayer for a donation of money or a letter to a politician.

Prayers, like those of the peoples living in the devistated areas, might not be answered.

I give thanks for the safety of family members, and that so far only property damage has been reported in my country.

Dear God,
The suffering here is unimaginable. All I can do is pray to know that You are in control, that all these souls are safely held in Your love, where there is no death. God bless and keep all these precious people. May God's Love be made manifest through all, in spite of the physical evidence. Amen.

Please Father,
Comfort the survivors and please see that those in need are taken care of.

I pray that your grace And mercy will fall upon the victims of this earthquake inS>E> Asia.Might their needs be met and all do their part to ease the suffering from this devastation And destruction.I know there always some who would quickly blame God for this orwonderwhy he Allowed this to happen.How quickly we forget that you grieve ;Also and you Are not willing that anyone should have to suffer so immensly.Grant comfort lord As only you Can to the victims families lost in this tradgedy.Be with the rescue workers And All who would lend A helping land in some way.Grant strength to them to be Able to endure the long hours And Days in ttheir rescue Attempts.tho we do not often understand why these things Happen ;we can have the Assurance that you in your mercy will see us throug and provide for our well being.might All draw upon thy promises And strength At this time.Thank you Lord for what you Are About to do for these people through the efforts of thy people And many nations.Bless And keep these people during this terrible ordeal.May they Always look unto you the Author And finisher of our faith..in thy nameI pray.Amen.

Heavenly Father,
I ask that You bless the families of those who were lost because of the tsunami in Asia. Grant them comfort, peace, and healing, Lord. Also I ask that You grant those who perished peaceful rest with You. Grant all of these things, Lord, according to Your holy will. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Dear Lord:
I pray for the souls of our lost brothers and sisters whose lives have been so suddenly and tragically swept away. I pray that we realize through this and the many other natural disasters that this beautiful world you have given us is also a dynamic and dangerous place. I am heartened by the swift response of all nations to aid our brothers and sisters, with no need for resolutions or voting. I pray that we will one day realize that it makes more sense to channel our efforts toward prevention, protection and aid than to creating man-made disasters like war, poverty and injustice.

I pray this travesty is not used as an indictment of the spiritual understandings (or lack thereof) of those effected by this. I pray God give comnfort to all those effected by this, in S.E. Asia and indeed throughout the world. As with most tragedies of this magnitude, its global implications will become known. I pray we as a global conciousness learn by this travesty in order to try and lose less life in the future.

I want to add my message. Its not about recognition but the feelings of compassions and sympathies for those unfortunate souls. Its like everything is becoming true. Right before it was christmas, i bought a very special gift for a loveone. Its a scenic motion picture, the outdoor scene that comes to life. The water "ripples" creating a soothing lighted effect/realistic environment sounds. The picture with a bridge scenery, below is a very peaceful water. I just thought to myself, how does it will like if it created a unmeasurable or something so unbelievable that will about to happen. But its not about destruction or misfortunes for others. It is something to do with something so strange in this universe. Its something i cant explain it. I watch in the window, and i cant see the answer when i look at the moon above me but my hearts and feelings feel something that no one else. I dont want to talk the whole detail anymore. And yesterday, i was awaken by a noise of small children laughing and it seemed something had just fallen hard. I looked where it came from and finally, i found out where. The picture of jesus had just fallen inside my closet. His picture suffering at the cross. I never come here to tell about myself but to tell what i had encountered strangely and to sympathize for the victims. My sympathies and condolence goes to thousands of victims and their families...

Oh God please help all of these people help us all 2 understand that u dont do things without reason even something as horrible and terrifying as this. Please God stay with all of these people with those who have died and those who are dealing with the loss of their families, homes and basically everything. I dont know what else to say except for just be with these people help them through such a time of hardship and just get them through this please God dont leave them they need you so desperatley. O God, creator and preserver of all mankind and of all the earth, we humbly beseech thee for all the sorts and conditions of men; that you would be pleased to make known your ways to us. We pray for all who have died, all who grieve their death, and all who are suffering the loss of home in the Asia basin where the great earthquake has struck. We pray that all who profess to follow your ways be moved with compassion and give of their wealth to assist, in any and the many ways in which they are moved so that those who suffer may be relieved from their distress. We pray in the name of all that is Holy, one God now and forever, Amen.

At such a terrible time for so many, we must remember that God created a universe with a complex set of rules, many of which we do not yet understand, but all of which are operative regardless of the outcome for us. At this time we can show that we are here to follow the Golden Rule by doing whatever we can to help those affected by this tragic event...in whatever ways that we are capable...including prayer.

God bless all those who have suffered and who are suffering.

O merciful Father, who taught us in your holy Word that you would not willingly afflict us, look with pity upon the sorrows of the victims of tsunami in S.E. Asia for whom our prayers are offered. Remember those who have perished, O Lord, in mercy. Comfort the survivors and family's of vitims with a sense of your goodness, lift up your countenance upon them, and give them peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
