Wonderful mother, grandmother, nurse needs your prayers

My 64-year-old mother was diagnosed in Nov 04 with kidney failure and multiple myeloma, an incurable cancer. She also had heart bypass surgery in Dec 04 and seizures in Jan 05

Mommy is in ICU at Uniontown Hospital. Her remission ended a couple of months ago, and x-rays showed new bone loss in her back. She has needed several transfusions in the past 2 months, and she has not responded to platelet transfusions yesterday and today. We had to stop her new cancer treatment tonight, after only a week on it, because of this. She also may be developing pneumonia, which can be fatal in myeloma patients. She is very weak, not able to even feed herself. This is the first time that we are at a loss for how this can turn around.

Thank you for giving me the peace, love, and energy to fight against her cancer with her. Thank you for every day I have had her in my life and for however many more days you grant me with her. I praise your wisdom, not because my mother is beating this affliction, but because it was clear from the start that this was part of your plan for our lives, and I am humbled to be your servant in my mother's life.

During times of stress, please remind me that I am blessed and that I am doing your work as I care for her. Please keep my mother's immortal soul in your good graces, and know that she truly loves you.
