Myself- Recovering addict

I need prayer for courage and strength. I am 2 months sober and I am dealing with all the damage I have done to my family.

I have recently moved home, to my mother's house and with my 2 daughters, ages 12 and 8. I have done so much damage in the past 4 years, from my drug using and self-destructive lifestyle. I am now facing all of my wreckage. I've been sober for 2 months and attend out-patient treatment. I am constantly reminded of my past by my mother and I feel unwanted here. We are always arguing and saying very hurtful things to each other. I've decided to go to the homeless shelter, to break this cycle of abuse, and to also get more help for myself. My mom can't wait for me to get out ( I'm on a waiting list for the shelter) and she wants me out today. I'll be taking my youngest with me, but have to leave my oldest here, for my mom has custody of her. Please pray for me and my family. I feel hopeless and lost. Most of all, please pray for my mom, whom I've hurt tremendously.

Jenny don't give up there is a God and He is a loving God, I know, because I have walked in your shoes. I lived in a homeless shelter for 18 months, I have been clean and sober now for 28 months. I know all about the damage we do to our familys, and our loved ones, and most of all to ourselves. We have to learn to forgive ourselves and to love ourselves again! The Will of God wil not lead you, where the Grace of God can not keep you! Keeping saying that and thinking it, and belive it!!!!! God has blessed me with my own apartment, a decent job, a close relationship with my mother and my now 14 year old daugther! Prayer and time heals all wounds! So Please Keep the Faith Jenny, You are God's child, He will hold you and Keep You, Just ask and You shall receive. Your story has touched me deeply, I will keep you in my prayers sister! Let Go and Let God!
