Kids Make mistakes

R. has always been a kid that has helped his community and family. One day he was missing for two days to go on a trip with a friend. His family was in a panic because they always knew where he was.

He knew something was wrong due to mom turned on his cell phone and was crying so he came back and found out that his new truck was gone and he knew he was in trouble. He told his family he was kidnapped so he wouldn't get in trouble for his truck being gone. He thought he was only lying to his family but what he didn't know his family called the News to find him. When he called home family was being interviewed. R got so scared he stuck to his story for 2 days until he thought it through .He than took resposablity for his actions and told the truth. This was the first time R ever did anything bad and he was blasted all over the news. He got in trouble for lying on a police report. He thought he was lying to his family not the world and he didn't know how to get out of it when the cameras were in his face but he did turn himself in. He has learned a valuable lesson through all of this. He didn't hurt anyone on purpose he just worried alot of people. He is not a criminal just a kid.He goes to court this month.

Thank you for letting us make mistakes so we can become wiser people and laern values. Don't let the world turn a good boy into a bad one just for one mistake forgive him and be with him and let others forgive him. Amen

	mountaintop77 8/20/2004 13:37	I thank God that he gives us the guts to stand up and take responsibility for what we do and the strength to deal with the consiquenses that might happen because of these desisions. May you give the family strenght to get through this and that you might rebuild all the bridges that have been burned due to this. THat this boy might draw closer to you lord in this time and that you will help him to be strong. JML
